Should I Visit California 1 More Time Before I Move There Next Year.

Do I have to return my son to California if he comes to visit me out of state?

With no court order in place, my son is coming from California to visit me in Another state. I moved out of California this year and allowed my son to reside with his father as those were his wishes. Fully believing my son would be taken care of and all needs met. However, as the months progressed I am learning that my son is in fact not being fully taken care of. He has no health insurance and has been missing school due to being i’ll And has not seen a dr. He had an incident of being assaulted at school and his father did not contact the school or pursue the situation. I had to call the school from out of state. My son stated he wasn’t in school one day, because his father didn’t want to take him. My sons father is now manipulating him and attempting to scare him with videos of historical natural disasters in the state I now live.
Do I, have to return my son?

Why did the Donner Party move or travel to California?

Like many travelers of the mid 1840's they sought a better life in Oregon and California. With news of cheap land and bountiful natural resources, they felt they could improve their lot in life by this move. Unfortunately their trip has become one of the most tragic in American History when, while trapped in the Sierra Nevada's by a severe winter, they were forced to dine on their dead brethren. First documented case of cannibalism in America.

Why do most Mexicans move to California? Why not Texas? It's a lot closer!?

I just looked on a map and I seriously wondered about that. Why do most Mexicans go to California (especially Los Angeles) if Texas is a lot closer to the central areas of Mexico? I mean California below California there is not that much Mexican land mass besides Baja California and relatively few people live there. If you go south from Texas you're gonna go right into the heart of Mexico, so it would make much more sense if most Mexicans went to Texas and not to California.

Why do so many people want to live in California?

No. It sucks here unless you’re a flaming liberal. The state leans so far to the left, I swear it’s going to fall over into the Pacific. They had sanctuary cities before, now the whole state is a sanctuary. It’s practically impossible to buy guns here, at least compared to some other states. You can walk down the street smoking a joint. You see guys with guys and gals with gals. You can go to a festival in the Castro and see guys with their junque out.Are you planning on buying a house here? You’d better be prepared for sticker shock. Flimsy, bare bones homes outside of South Bumfuck might be had for below $300k. A half decent home in a half decent neighborhood will set you back about $650k. Yes, k, as in 300 thousand and 650 thousand. In San Francisco, poverty level for a family of four is $100k, yes, 100 thousand.OK, so you’ll not be buying. One bedroom apartments can go for well over fifteen hundred per month, two over two thousand… just figure at least $1,000 per bedroom. And up. And up.If you don’t believe me, just peruse the rental boards on craigslist:SF bay area jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and eventsThe Santa Rosa area was just hit by a huge 50 year firestorm that took out thousands of homes and businesses, and created about 20,000 new homeless people, new homeless people who will receive generous insurance checks to rent while they rebuild. The vacancy rate was ridiculously low to begin with, it must be damn near 2% if not lower by now. Landlords are gouging, new tent cities are going up, campers and RVs are parked overnight everywhere, usually in groups.Gasoline just got hit with another tax, this one $0.12/gallon?! It’s now over $3.00/gallon right now. It’s hot like hell in some places. I remember one summer it went well over 100 for about 17 days in a row in Fresno. Other places will see 50 degree temperature drops in just a couple of hours. And an earthquake is coming. A big one, a real big one, is coming, but unlike hurricanes, and to a lesser extent tornadoes and tsunami waves, you have no clue as to when it’s coming. Taking a dump, about to come, or having just fallen asleep for the first time after four sleepless nights in a row, earthquakes do not care.I’ll be back later to tell you about the bad things about California.
