Should We Consider It Our Duty Not To Buy Or Try The Services Offered In Aggressive And Nuisance

Horse turns his butt on me in stable...best way to deal with this?

had my new pony about 6 weeks, quite spooky, can have days where he's a bag of nerves, the type of pony that needs a sensitive approach, if i were to hit him or show any frm of aggression to him it would make him 10 times more nervy...im very much into the pressure release type of training and i have stumbled along a problem...sometimes when im brushing him in his stable or just petting his, rubbing him etc he may just walk away from me, stick his head in the corner of the stable, put his ears slight back and literally put his butt right in my face!!?? i am wondering what is the best way to deal with this? obviously i am in the kick zone area and dont want to get hurt or kicked? any ideas on effective safe ways?? he's not aggressive in any other way whatsoever great to catch, leads like a total gem respects my space, done join up and invited him in etc etc lunges well until i ask him back just this bum thing which im finding really annoying and think its super disrespectful! he's done it a few times when iv gone in with his headcollar too!! he's just turned 5 yr old so still learning himself was from a stud and only been broke around 1 year if that! he is also terrified of the whip so when iv entered the stable and he's seen it he freaks out! hes the same with plastic bags...tried desentisizing him to plastic bags etc and he just runs round teh meneg like a looney tries kicking the bag away etc etc..i know i shud leave the pressure of the bag on untill he relaxes then take that away BUT he is really freaking out about it...! any experienced ppl can help me???

My neighbors wooden fence is rotting and falling onto my property. I have put 2x4's up to stop it from falling?

I had a similar problem. It was solved in 2 days after a call to the city. My city has a "nuisance" department, and they came right out. Here, if you have a fence, you must keep it in good repair.

Why do people treat me like crap even though I'm so nice to them?

This is because they are not afraid of you. The truth of life and the truth of our real world lies in the fact that people will treat you well only if they are slightly afraid of you and they understand that if they behave disrespectfully to you, the consequences will follow immediately. If you are weak and nice, they will humiliate you. If you are strong and not-nice, they will be afraid of you. If you are strong and nice - they will like you. If you are strong and nice, but at any moment you can become very not-nice - they will respect you. =)People are animals. It is a fact. So people value you as a person and as an animal at same time. And if you are not strong enough physically, then you are not good as “an animal’, and you will have very big problems in real world. So only sport can help you. Weightlifting. Wrestling. Boxing. MMA. All this things.p.s.No, this problem cant be solved with the help of any psychological methods. Only sport can help you. =)

Pets or Kids, which do you prefer?

I have both - although my kids are fully grown.

There is no question of preference ~ there is nothing to prefer. Kids and dogs are different. When they were young, I had the same responsibilities for my kids that I have for my dogs ~ the main one being "raise them to be productive members of society"... but there is no question that had I failed in my responsibilities to my children there would be far more harm to society than any failure with my dogs. There is also no question that I would do everything in my power to make sure my children survive ... and given the right (apocolyptic) set of circumstances that could include consumption of my dogs.

I detest untrained children and untrained dogs. Both are a result of the laziness of those responsible for them. Like another commentor, I too have seen that the children of those people with well-trained dogs tend to be well-mannered. In fact- Operant Reward Conditioning works beautifully for both dogs and humans.

Loki ~ babies are fine. They are a small, parasitic lifeform. It's when they become mobile yet don't yet understand language that I have issues with them. My poor kids learned to speak VERY early as I simply wouldn't respond to screaming/crying when they wanted something... yet an attempt to make a coherant noise might get them what they wanted. Once language is an option there isn't much difference between the cleverness of the average northern breed dog and a young child. I will admit though - I was lucky. My kids slept 10-12 hours through the night by the time they were a year old... but they would rarely nap.

I'm looking forward to grandchildren ... eventually. Hopefully one of my kids manages to produce one that is dog oriented.
