Should We Go To The Board Of Education

Can the president of the board of education say this?

You’re a reporter for your school paper. You’re covering a meeting of the board of education. In the middle of the meeting, the president of the board turns to you and says, “I’m sorry, but this part of the meeting is off the record. Please stop taking notes and do not report any of this in the paper.”

Is the president of the board allowed to tell you not to takes notes on or report part of the information you heard? If they allowed you to come in, listen, and take notes at all, would that not be going against freedom of speech to tell you not to say something? Or is that why the "please" was included? Thanks for any help.

Can we start a new board of school education in India?

Thanks A2AFirstly i need to know that what is the need for that ?As it is not in the hand of the individual person to open a New BOARD.It requires the government bodies and require the answer to what is the need. But someone can suggest the ways to improve the quality of the current education system. This can be good and may be a good effort towards the education system if GOVERNMENT starts a program in which they ask about the suggestion from the people. The current need is to provide good sources to the GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS and improve their study quality, provide them basic needs. Why poor people don't send their kids to school ?Answer is due to the high fees of convent schools.Thing is not that they don't want to send their kids to Convents school but the the wall of high fees comes in between.so finally just one suggestion to the GOVERNMENT is that improve the quality of education in government school.provide them the study material.

Why do we need school boards?

Schools have the duty to educate young people and to prepare them for our society. Also, they are expected to give them basic knowledge on various topics. Now, how can we ensure that the schools are doing there job or how the schools should run? Moreover, what should they teach? Which subjects? Which topics? In which way? And last but not least how the budget should be distributed among the schools in a area? What would be the final exams questions? One solution for all, a school board.A school board is responsible for the above mention decisions in a area or a state. To understand how important it’s role is just see the difference of two schools under two different boards. You would find many variety in teaching methods, grading policies, administration policies. Just think what it would look like if every single school could make their independent decisions, it would be total chaos. In simple, school board ensures that a student of class five from one school knows the same stuff as another class five student from another school in the same state.

In India, why isn't there a single standard board for school education? What is the logic behind having different curricula?

Looking at the abundance of BITSians on Quora and the mention of only that college confirms that this asker is a BITSian or an aspiring onenow your question1. one comittee cannot possibly decide what should be taught in schools to different kind of students all over the country. monopoly isnt good. 2. the rich dont want their kids to study the same stuff being taught to normal students. they want to look cool. Hence we have International Baccalaureate. (on a serious note, its just to be closer to the west in case you want to go there)3. Regionalism, sadly in India, exists. people belong to different communities, they have different heroes (rani jhansi for some, Chhatrapati Sivaji for some, Bhagat Singh for some and B.R. AMbedkar for some) . they would like these to be a part of their children's education.they dont trust the guys in delhi to decide what someone in Tamil Nadu or any other region would like to learn. 4. people in different regions are inclined to certain professions (this might sound absurd and unbelievable)we have normal 12th standard in some areas, junior college in some, and coaching for colleges in other regions. Mumbai is full of all kinds of coaching, Andhra Pradesh concentrates on engineering, Bihar on IAS, and Delhi on cbse boards because Delhi University admissions depend on it.5. so many committes, so many boards create so many jobs !! as for entrance to college, you know that the major reason you are doing that degree is because its a social norm to be graduate and post graduate and MBA and Since Sharma Ji's son also did that, you have to do it too

Central Board of Secondary Education, India: Is PCMB too tough to handle?

I took PCMB. Scored 89.2 %.I was a 10 pointer in 10th. I'm a medical aspirant. I took maths because i was good at it and it gave me pleasure. But I wasn't into biology during 11th. And as 11th is infamous for, i just studied with mediocrity. Then came 12th and everyone around was hyping the board thing. So when i studied seriously i found out it was not that easy to excel doing both but it somehow went well. Maths needs hell of a practice and biology needs revision, this was the tricky part. If you're not a very hard working student you'll miss either of the two things.I missed biology scoring just 81 and got 95 in maths in the CBSE board exams. The actual problem came into the picture later, when I started preparing for AIPMT. I realised I don't have that much of a grip on biology due to lack of revision. And it comprises 50% marks in the medical entrance. So the bottomline being that you really need to keep a delicate balance. If you'll take one of them more seriously the other one will surely take a backseat. You should be very sure about the career you're gonna choose. If it's medicine, focus more on biology and if engineering then maths. Don't try to equalise them as it can make your boards report card decorated but won't actually be fruitful in the long term as part of your career.

Can I change board from 11th CBSE to 12th state board?

Yes ,You can move fromTo anyBut not from one stream to another.Just go and consult with the school where you want to seek admission. They will ask you for few documents like your 11th marksheet and Transfer Certificate. It also depends on your grade that you have got in your 11th class. If your marks will be acceptable then there would not be any problem regarding your issue.

Is it better to study in cbse or state board?

No education board is good or bad. It just a common misconception in Indian society. It is one of the common topics among parents to discuss. Some would say CBSE, some would say ICSE and same as for others too.The point is in the development of personality of your child quality of the school, school environment, quality of teachers, extracurricular, sports platform and discipline matters.Board is only responsible for the syllabus finalization and organization of exam. Board will give an authenticated mark sheet. After that role of a board is over, every education board in India gives liability to write answers in English.Conclusion:-Consider only the quality of the school, not education board while finalizing any school for your child. State boards are also good if a quality of the affiliated school is good.
