What is the best Real Techniques makeup brush set?
I love the Core Collection. It only comes with four brushes so don't expect to complete your entire face using only it. The brushes included are: a buffing brush, contour brush, lip brush and a concealer brush. The buffing brush works amazingly. I use it blend my stick foundation and also when I set my face with powder. It's soft yet firm enough to make sure that products get blended in.I don't actually use the contour brush for contouring, instead I use it as a highlighting brush. It works really well for this purpose, although you don't want to be heavy handed with it. It can apply too much product at once. The lip brush works well for when you want to do a gradient lip or apply a gloss on top.The concelear brush works best for me with cream product. It's pretty long which makes it awkward to get right up under the eye with. It's also not great for blending in product.A downside would be the fact that it's pretty expensive for only 4 brushes. Depending on where you buy it, you could up paying a good $15. I was able to get mine for $8 at Target during a sale.Requested by Adriana Goldstein
Best Dupe of a MAC 219: Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Brushes?
I'm looking for a good dupe of a MAC 219 pencil brush, particularly for creating a really dramatic outer V, line eyeshadow on my lower lash line, and even blend it in (I'm buying a good dupe of a MAC 217 for that in case the pencil brush doesn't blend well). I know Coastal Scents has a lot of great pencil brushes but I was just wondering which one delivers results closest to a MAC 219: 1. Italian Badger Pencil Brush: http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm/product/1943_37/italian-badger-pencil-brush.cfm 2. Black Large Pointed Crease: http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm/product/1946/black-large-pointed-crease.cfm 3. Small Pencil Crease Black/Silver: http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm/product/1942_37/small-pencil-crease-blacksilver.cfm I plan on buying the Italian Badger round crease brush to create a softer and less dramatic outer V, as well as applying shadow and blending in the crease, so I've got that covered. I plan on buying more than just that because shipping is really cheap (about 1.56 so far for 2 items via USPS first class mail, it's dependent on weight). Which of the three brushes above delivers comparable results to the MAC 219?
How reliable is coastal scents?

What's the best Kabuki brush?
There are lots of kabuki brushes that are very good and for good prices. the cheaper ones that are pretty good are from coastal scents, essence of beauty and ecotools (but i hear their kabuki isnt the best) Another brand that is really good but kinda expensive is MAC. Sigma brushes r cheaper and i hear just as good.
Does Covergirl test on animals? (other make up brands also)?
Yes, Covergirl DOES test on animals. Sad, isn't it?But there are high-end brands that don't test on animals (MAC and Clinique) and they seem to rake in lots of money...so why don't drug-store brands follow their lead? Almost all drugstore brands test on animals except Revlon. Here's a short list of companies that DO test on animals: Johnson & Johnson (Aveeno, Clean & Clear, Listerine, Neutrogena, Lubriderm) S.C. Johnson (Skintimate, Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex, Edge, Glade) L'oreal (Biotherm, Garneir, Lancome, Maybelline, Ralph Lauren Fragrences, Redken, Matrix Essentials, SoftSheen,Vichy) Procter & Gamble(Aussie, Clairol, Pantene, Max Factor, Crest, Gillette, Olay, Secret, Vicks) Covergirl Vaseline Dove Sunsilk Suave Rimmel Ponds Companies Bought Out by a Bigger Company that DOES test on animals, but the original company DOESN'T: Burt's Bees The Body Shop(bought out by l'oreal) NARS Companies that DON'T test!: Almay Aloe Vera Aveda Bare Escentuals Bath and Body Works Best Bath Store Bobbi Brown Bumble and Bumble Calvin Klein Cosmetics Crabtree & Evelyn Cosmetics Essie Cosmetics Estée Lauder Family(MAC, Clinique, etc.) Dior Wet N Wild Victoria's Secret Urban Decay Too Faced Cosmetics Smashbox Cosmetics Revlon Paul Mitchell Orly OPI Nordstrom Cosmetics Mary Kay Lush E.L.F. Coastal Scents MAKE UP FOR EVER Fresh Cosmetics Nyx Prescriptives Bonne Bell Clarins Hard Candy Hello Kitty JOICO Kate Spade Beauty Stila Cosmetics Tommy Hilfiger There are SO many more, so here's a complete list from PETA. http://search.caringconsumer.com/search.aspx Then, here's a really good youtube video about animal testing (it's not explicit!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9jLVkoBL6o&feature=channel_page I hope I helped! Good luck! :] EDIT: Also, the brand Herbal Essences is a little bit iffy. I've heard both ways, so I don't know about that brand.
