This may also help.
To display the options you can get by SORT BY DATE in
the New format do the following. Hover the pointer over
the GEAR...upper right Click on SETTINGS....remove,
if any, check marks to the left of Enable
Conversations/Show snipets...if you do not see it
click on VIEWING EMAIL....click SAVE when done.

Now when your inbox is displayed click on VIEW above your emails
on the right side to bring up drop down menu with those options.

NOTE; to place the check marks to the left of Enable
Conversations/show snipets click on VIEWING EMAIL....place the check
mark in the box left of Enable Conversations...click on SAVE.

You should do this so when you click on VIEW above the emails
the drop down menu will be mostly different and you will know the
different options and how to access the different views.

NOTE; leaving the check mark to the left of
Enable Conversations/show snipets will
change the format as follows.
When your inbox email list is displayed you will
see part of the text following the Subject matter.
When you Reply/Forward an email the original
text will be above your your added text.

I can't view conversation history in yahoo messenger 11. What to do?

To view your messages open Messenger and click Contacts>> Message Archive.

Select a name by highlighting it, then view your messages by clicking on one of the dates shown in the right side window.

Then you can click Message (left side) and choose what to do with that message.

This is for instant messages from people on your contact list only as they are they only messages archived. Those not on you list and sms messages are NOT archived on Yahoo.

Good luck. ~m~

You are confused about Quora’s mission and purpose. The purpose of Quora is not to enable “conversation”.Quora’s objective is to compile a searchable database of “the best answers to the best questions”. It is not a “forum”, nor a venue in which to argue for positions, nor debate the issues of the day. These rôles are ably fulfilled by numerous other online entities such as Reddit and Twitter, and by newsgroups available on Usenet. If an author’s answer does not permit comments, and you believe the answer is deficient in some wise, you should compose and provide a different answer. That is how Quora is intended to function. This is not the Arguments room. The Arguments room is over there →

I upgraded to the new yahoo mail and now I am unable to use simple tabs such as delete, move, reply etc?

Maybe this can help you, I use Internet Explorer and could not find a solution to switch back to Classic Mail permanently after 2 days of pulling my hair out lots of problems! I have not found links work permanently, I went to CONTACT YAHOO CUSTOMER CARE, then clicked on LIVE CHAT, told them my old computer can not handle it, and they switched me back 5 to10 min. total, no problem, and they do not prompt me to switch anymore! You can also call Yahoo USA, but you will wait forever! 1-866-562-7219. Don’t forget to vote for best answer. Anyway Good Luck!

Threaded View Enabled in Yahoo Mail?

I like the threads view but am having a lot of trouble replying to individual emailers. Sent message out to a group but want to reply individually. The arrow should do it but often latches onto the wrong email address to reply to. e.g. Open EMail from Mrs F and reply. Open email in same trhead from Mrs T and reply is setup up again for Mrs F....

By all means lets improve E-Mail but please don't make changes irreversible while we are trialing them?

Many Thanks.

Steven.

How Do You Think Society Treats People With Disabilities Differently?

Well first of all i am in a wheelchair myself (diplegic cerebral palsy) and i know exactly what you mean when you say "So I don’t understand why people treat people with disabilities like they are in their own class of, I don’t know what the word would be but pretty much not equal because they are not “normal”." My answer to that would be is that the people who treat the disabled as not "normal" do not understand the person and therefor think of them as "dumb" even although they are well educated well that's what its like for me anyway.
1. i would ask him if he needed a hand with that and to my best to help.
2. ask him if would like a hand again
3.D although people may not realize, people in wheelchairs are always grateful. for the smallest acts of kindness...opening the door to let them through for example.
4. hmm i feel saddened, sympathetic
5. Well I do not know how the rest as society feels but as i am physically disabled myself i feel that in my own experience society never looks at the person, just the wheelchair and make the automatic judgment.
6. HM saddened and sympathetic again
7. and again saddened and sympathetic
8. I hope i treat them as the person they feel they are.
9. well idk in the UK there is a very prominent distinction i think, but the truth is I think it should be a wider range for what is a disability and what is not.
10. I have no idea why society feels like that. I have had the experience in school of trying to explain to teachers that just because i cant walk doesn't mean im less educated.
11. that we are people and not to judge us by our disability, to understand that even although we may not be able like everyone else we still are people who feel the way society treats us as less than we are.

and btw im only 14 :P Lol

I hope this has really helped with your project good luck! :)

This screenshot is from my phone, but the “reply” option should be in the same spot no matter what version you are using. It has occasionally (Quora likes to mess around with the comment features) been hidden behind those three dots that represent the expanded menu, but it's been clearly visible for a while now.Have you looked for the “reply” button on more than one comment or answer? You won't be able to reply if the writer has since disabled comments, or if the person you are attempting to reply has blocked you.

The "what do you do," question is usually asked as a ice-breaker.   It's a question that people ask without giving it much thought.   However,  answering the question isn't always as easy.  If you are a doctor, lawyer, or teacher you can sufficiently answer the question in one word.In your case, if it's more nuanced, I would suggest being direct and quickly answering the question:  "I'm a case manager for Honda."  Highlight what you like about the job and then quickly pivot to what you do want to talk about.  "I like aspects of the job because I talk to people.   I'm actually thinking about making a move to marketing or consulting.  I write for Quora and I really enjoy it."I would suggest not leading off with "nothing important" or "desk job."  These answers could cut off any networking opportunities.   And if you are looking to make a career move, it's good to keep positive and network when you can.  You never know who might be looking for marketing or consulting expertise.  If you are in the mood to be more creative, you could say that you work in the more corporate version of Car Talk.   People love that show.  Ask them if they've ever heard it.  Connect your job to something they understand.  Give them a quick and funny story you've experienced.  Then pivot again to "I love talking to people.  And I can talk to all types!   I also write for Quora."Ultimately most people are just asking to get a sense of who you are.  If you don't want your current job title to define you, shift your answer away from a strict title, and instead move into what you like doing.  Direct the conversation to what you want to be doing in the future.  Keep it positive and then ask them "what do you like about what you do?"  Get them talking about what excites them.
