Since When Arsenal Have Become Title Contenders

Do you think Arsenal have the potential to be the title contenders in this season?

In my opinion, Arsenal can contend for 2nd place this season because no one is stopping Manchester City from defending the title due to the fact that Pep Guardiola’s side only got better by signing world-class RW Riyad Mahrez who won POY when Leicester City won the title.Arsenal have brought in many reinforcements which is good to see as it means Unai Emery is an ambitious manager who knows which areas The Gunners need to improve at.Let’s look at the new signings:Bernd Leno- a goalie who established himself as one of the best goalies in the Bundesliga.Stephan Lichtsteiner- a very experienced RB who brings that winning mentality from Juventus having won 7 Serie A titles! He will improve Hector Bellerin who is a young star.Sokratis- another experienced defender who is very good at tackling and doesn’t make many mistakes at all.Lucas Torreira- a young central midfielder who shone for Uruguay at the world cup with his great tackling, passing and stamina.Matteo Guendouzi- a young talent who has a lot of potential to become a fantastic attacking midfielder as his excellent passing, dribbling and tackling effort was on display in these pre-season games.Overall, these players will help improve Arsenal in the goalkeeping, defense and midfield areas which is all Unai Emery’s side needs because they already have a star-studded attack with the “Fab 4” of Ozil, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang and Lacazette. In my opinion:Manchester City will lift the trophy againArsenal and Liverpool will contend for 2nd placeChelsea and Tottenham will contend for 4th placeManchester United will be far behind.

Are their any title contenders who can beat klitzko?

david haye has backed out of two klitzko fights not all that long ago in his career and now has become a little more experienced and should be at the age that if hes gonna unify those titles like his been saying he wants to , now would seem to be the time to do it at 28 or 29 years old (i think its now or never for him), and with no excuses anymore and wladimir calling him out, should he man up and finally take this fight? do you want to see it and who do you think will win (against either klitzko bro)?
BQ: same question exept klitzko vs klitzko. they promised their mother they would never fight each other but wladimir has been saying he wants to talk to her and see if she would be willing to change her mind, (probably just a PR statment) to see who is the best in the world. he says he is the better boxer and vitali has more power.

Arsenal are out of the title race?

Wenger has said it before you can't win the premier league before new years but you can sure as hell lose it. if we lose to Chelsea 11 points back game in hand or otherwise is going to be a steep hill to climb. I expect us to not have to play in the playoff to make the group stages of the Champions league next season but I will wait until at least new years to gauge our title hopes.

Despite being unique in their style of play, why do Arsenal miss out on the title season after season?

It is just a treat to eyes seeing Arsenal's build up play. No team in BPL have got that the ability to move the ball around so precisely and score some amazing teamplay goals.Despite all this, all the philosophy of Wenger, creative talent like - Wilshere, Ozil, Ramsey, flamboyant strike partnership of Giroud and Alexis, and pace of Walcott and Bellerin. With all these potential they should rule BPL, but guess they are happy with 4th spot. Why?IMHO,  Arsenal lacks only one thing - Hunger.  I watch almost all their game, love how they play, but often I feel they are not pushing anymore, the desire and explosiveness is missing. They go soft on critical moments where a aggressive counter can ruin the opponent. When you are considering the top European teams - they have one thing common, all of them threaten the opponents, ruthless and relentless utterly rampant. Even though they are going to win a game by a fair margin, they still push for more, they literally annihilate the opposition.Arsenal are 1-up or 2-up then players start to rotate the ball, trying to settle things down, get caught and deservedly punished. And due to the lack of match winners, who can spark the game to life, Arsenal after going down gets pressurised and fails to register goals. Not once, not twice but this has been the highlight of their season. They are architects of their own downfall.

If Arsenal signs Karim Benzema, will they really become title contenders?

The biggest problem with watching Arsenal is that you get a sense of deja vu.They clearly have a great team, a strong bench, an experienced manager and a general framework to succeed. Though they won 2 consecutive FA cups, this is a team which should challenge for the PL and the Champions League consistently.Every Arsenal fan knows that their team needs a proven goalscorer to challenge Giroud and someone to compete with coquelin. Reports have clarified that Arsenal can clearly spend money this summer, so that takes away Wenger's biggest excuse. Yet, Arsenal seem so lethargic in their transfer dealings it frustrates me. A close look at Chelsea just shows you how it needs to be done. They suffered a big defeat to City and immediately bought 2 players and a world class one in Pedro. They also effectively weakened 2 of their oppositions(United and City) who were interested in buying him. Arsenal have been flirting with Benzema since god knows when and still no consensus has been reached. Anyone who watches Real Madrid knows that Benzema is one of those few strikers who possess pace and agility with strength and power. his technical ability is very good and is a textbook version of a poacher. In Madrid he plays second fiddle to Ronaldo like everyone else but built a team around him, with Ozil(someone he has played with before) and Sanchez supporting him and the rest of Arsenal's midfield playing their game and the prospect is frightening. The bottom line is this: Buy Benzema and a CDM and then you don't really have an excuse not to win anything and everything.

Which positions do Arsenal need to address in the 2019 summer window to become title contenders?

Selling Ozil,Mkhitaryan,Mustafi should be the priority. All of these players have underperformed or don't play good enough. Now comes the position which should be filled with young, talented, higher potential players.AMF Role:After Ozil only Granit Xhaka create goals for us.Once Xhaka is out our team loses or doesn't create enough goals.A young and talented attacking midfielder with great creativity is needed and Denis Suarez cant do that.A player like James Maddison is needed obviously foxes wont sell him but we have to find that type of player.Like Wenger found Cesc Fabregas.Once we fill that guy in that position, Xhaka and Torreira can protect our defence.A pair of Centrebacks:Kos is 33, Papa is 30, Mustafi can't be trusted so in that case we are left with Holding who is injured and Mavropanos who is talented as hell. But after papa and Kos we are left with 2 places and we have to start the search for that position. We need players who are leaders, professional, ready to give everything for the club.Another Adams and Kos can't be created but we can find such talents.A strong leftback:La Cabra(Monreal) is 33, Kolasinac sometimes produce great results sometimes not.We need a consistent left fullback who can create goals as well as defend well like Monreal.I can't suggest names as Arsenal can't buy them. For that position we have to react quickly.Arsenal do have a lot of talents in the academy like Saka,Smith Rowe,Nelson and many more. This is where Mislinat could have helped us, he exactly knows how to find talent with dirt cheap price and with great talents but Kroenke and his board are ruthless with the club

Have Arsenal lost the title this year after losing to Watford?

They lost the title the minute they went down 1–4 early to Liverpool in their opener.Every time Arsenal loses, we say “typical Arsenal” because Arsenal manages to lose in the most Arsenal way possible.Losing the first match of the year? Check.Losing around Groundhog Day at home to a mid-table Watford? Check. Arsenal always finds a way to lose around Groundhog Day, and their poor run of form follows. That’s typical Arsenal. They go out of form around February and continues until mid-April, when they do enough to beat their local rival Spurs to 4th position. They’re going to do something typical this Saturday. Lose at Chelsea. Lose at the Bridge. That’s pretty much what they do anyway.Chelsea is 9 points ahead of what is now third place Arsenal. Spurs and Arsenal are level on points, but Spurs are second on goal difference. Generally when a team is ahead by 9 points at any point in a season…that’s basically season over. Barring an uncharacteristic collapse by Chelsea, the 2016–17 Premier League title will head to Stamford Bridge.Additionally, Arsenal have to worry about Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Arsenal are likely to be eliminated at the Round of 16 for the 7th year in a row, and this will not sit well with Gooner fans. Meanwhile, Chelsea (like Leicester City last year) don’t have to worry about European football…a major advantage they have compared to their Premier League counterparts. Not to mention, Arsenal doesn’t really have the “it” factor to win the Premier League. They’re always the bridesmaid, and never the bride. They’ll do enough to win a Champions League spot, but not win the league in general. Their manager is outdated and plays with the same tactics every single match. Arsenal looks predictable now, and their players aren’t hungry enough to win anything. And their manager doesn’t feel like striving to win.

Why Arsenal does not sack Arsène Wenger even after years of mediocre performance?

Arsène wenger and arsenal, wow.. Well what can you tell about their relationship. Wenger , a French Football manager . Wenger was manager of as late as 1996. Two years into his tenure he won a league double. He hasn't looked back ever since.. His accomplishments are not to be taken lightly. In 2004, they were undefeated they had over a 40+ games win streak n In 2006 lost to Barcelona in the final of UCL. In between AL this they wanted to built a new stadium, where relocation started in 2002, with financial problems they Finished the stadium what is known as The Emirates now with a cost nearing £400 Million. That is not a small amount. So they have been in financial problems ever since, were they sold players . Wenger was always known for bringing and scouting young talent. He has not failed as a manager and their main aim was to finish in the top 4. For 16 years now, only Arsenal n Madrid if I'm not wrong are the only teams for qualify for UCL continuously. This is a short history of Arsenal n wenger. By 2012/2013 he came under immense pressure for not getting the EPL trophy, which is to a certain extent, correct. With the players they have and the quality they possess they r second to none. He was delivering FA cup's and still finishing in top 4 so he is still in his job. Now they are certainly title contenders as they recently finished second too. So he might get another year or two to prove himself yet again. I feel wenger is the only manager who knows Arsenal inside out and he is the best person at the moment. I don't see any other manager available who is arsenal manager material who could come in a make a season winning impact. So all the views taken into consideration, this is why I feel hes working as a manager of Arsenal. Hoping I answered your question. Thank you .
