Site Same As Netflix And Hulu For Indian Tv Shows

How do I get American Netflix in India?

What's better? Hulu or Netflix?

The two services kind of serves different needs. This comparison may be of help:

If you want the latest episodes of network TV shows, shows like Parks & Rec, Family Guy, Modern Family, The Following ... then Hulu Plus is your only real option. Hulu Plus also has a good selection of classic TV shows. But you have to put up with ads, which can get annoying after a while.

But if you want more classic TV and a lot more movies (mostly old, but some new as well - there are nearly 500 movies on Netflix right now released after 2012, although most you won't have heard of before), the you can't beat Netflix.

I think both complement each other very well, and for an additional $7.99 per month, it's not going to break the bank!

Hulu or Netflix?

I believe it's $8 for minimal commercials, $12 for no commercials. Typically a show will have 3 or 4 commercial breaks, starting with one commercial of 2 or 3 minutes, and increasing towards the end on most shows so the last break might be 3 commercials. Get it for the network TV shows, because their movie selection is ranges from ok to terrible. There will be a few popular movies, usually a couple of years old, and a ton of crap you've never heard of.

If you want mostly recent TV from the major networks, then you probably want Hulu, but there is a lot of overlap between Hulu and Netflix so if you also want a larger movie selection, haven't caught up on all the old seasons of shows you want to watch, and can wait 6 months or a year to see what's on TV now, then it's not really a better deal.

When will Netflix and Hulu be available in India?

Fact 1.Giants like Reliance (BigFlix.com), Star Networks (Hotstar) and Times Internet Ltd (Boxtv.com) jumped into the field but you see now they don't seem interested to invest much. They tasted the market and now on wait and watch mode.Fact 2.The US companies are very cleaver. They have a different strategy. They let the market be mature . They wait for the right time and so when the time comes they invest a good money on marketing and overcast their product. You see an example of Amazon.in. So companies like Netflix and Hulu are monitoring the online 'On demand movies' market very analytically. They know the target consumer class still not in position to cost 1GB data + monthly rent to enjoy a movie on their tablet or smartphone.Everyone is waiting for the right time and the right time is when Internet is cheap, good bandwidth, audience class become liberal, the content producers understands the business (Yeah, they still don't) and plays important role..... and so on. Wait and watch !Edit 1: I realised that this very old answer still being viewed, that made me to put an edit here. Netflix is launched in India on 6th Jan 2016 with a good number of Indian content. Subscription starts from Rs.500 ($7.5) per month. Hulu plus also is available with Apple TV but not a competitive launch like Netflix and Amazon Prime yet.

How many days after a TV show airs, will it be on Netflix?

If Netflix already has an arrangements with producers of a particular show, the new seasons will be released shortly after the DVDs. However, if you are waiting for a movie or show not currently on Netflix, you may have to wait quite a while (and it just may never be released) because Netflix has to negotiate terms and prices to stream that content, and if they can't meet somewhere in the middle with the producers/copyright owners, then they just won't offer that movie or show. Also, if you have shows/movies on Netflix that you've been wanting to watch but haven't gotten around to it, don't wait too long because Netflix doesn't keep their content streaming forever. I learned the hard way with some of my favorite shows. :(

Netflix vs Hulu vs Amazon prime?

It depends on what you want it for. They all have their pros and cons (and they're also all the same price now that Amazon Prime has switch to monthly subscriptions).

Netflix: On one hand, it's great for movies. They have the largest streaming library for a flat fee of any service online, and they also just signed a major deal with Disney to become the exclusive online distributor by 2016. The downside with Netflix is that they don't often get recent releases.

Hulu Prime: Hulu is great for TV shows... and it DOES get new episodes shortly after they air on TV for some shows (not all). The downside with Hulu is that you have to put up with limited commercials, and their movie selection kind of sucks.

Amazon Prime: Amazon Prime has a decent selection of free movies for Prime subscribers, as well as new releases... and you also get free 2-day shipping on all Amazon.com orders. However, the free movies can almost all be found on Netflix, and if you want to use Amazon Prime for new-release movies, you have to pay per title.

Personally, I use both Hulu and Netflix... for new releases, though, I use Vudu, because there's no subscription fee. You just pay for the movies you want to watch (and a lot of them can be rented rather than purchased, which saves a lot of money).
