Small Beach Town Options Help

Small beach towns in Southern California?

Hi Riley!
Yes, you're right, they are all expensive but as far as a small town feel and you can surf there my pick would be Carlsbad. Its in So Cal. Check out this page at Trippin Thru California on Carlsbad beaches. There are other beaches you can check out there as well. I hope this helps.
All the best,
Patty

5 days around Lecce, Italy: where to go, stunning beaches, the small towns?

OMGoodness! From Lecce your options for five days are limitless! My favorites! 1. Otranto: top pick - just over :30 drive. Here is a tip on how to properly pronounce Otranto if you go, which you totally should! Medieval city, best waterfront dining, gelato by the bay. Oh heaven! https://artoflivingontheroad.com...2. Gallipoli: Another option also just over halfway an Hour but this time headed towards the Ionian Sea. 3. Lido Punta della Suina: a National park just south of Gallipoli by :10 this spot has beautiful views and great places to picnic by the sea. 4. Leuca: Small town feel by the water. Where Italians themselves go to relax on the beach. 5. Alberobello: further drive and inland rather then towards the shore. Getting to 1:20 but it's where you will find the Classic Trulli architecture central southern Italy is known for. Plus food here is amazing! Oh an you'll want to make sure you can pronounce Orecchiette too! https://artoflivingontheroad.com...

What are the most beautiful towns/cities to live in in New Zealand?

Queenstown is one good option, particularly over the winter. If you want a balance, try some outlying beach locations in Auckland: Huia, Karekare, Piha - they feel pretty idyllic but they're only 40min-1 hour drive to the central city. Try wwoofing - yes, I know you don't need to work but really for an entire year you might get bored and working on a farm with other travellers might be a great option! Live and Learn On Organic FarmsNelson is also nice. All those places are relatively popular with lifestyle migrants and tourists - if you want really deep New Zealand, head out to the West Coast of the South Island or Gisbourne or find a small town near Gisbourne on the East Coast of the North Island - great surf and if you make friends with the locals you may learn a lot about Maori culture and lifestyle. Those places might be a little too slow for you, though, depending on what kind of nightlife or shopping or cafes you need to keep you entertained. There are many many other good options; in general the East Coast of the North Island is great for surf, Coromandel is great for nature, and central North Island + South Island good for skiing in the ski season. But just about any location will have at least a small town and lots of hiking, beach, and ski options within a few hours drive.

What is the most modern, overall best, beach town to live in Ecuador? Is there a modern hospital nearby?

I’d say that the two only options you have are Manta and then Salinas, about 250km further south. Manta is a small-medium sized city (pop. 250.000) and you have a new shopping mall, nice beaches nearby, good restaurants and decent, while not top class hospitals. The weather is not as humid and rainy as in Guayaquil or Esmeraldas, and there are not as many tropical-related illnesses.Salinas is a smaller beach city where the people of Guayaquil and Cuenca have their summer condos. Amenities there are not as good as in Manta, but you have a motorway that lets you get to Guayaquil in less than 1h30min. If you have any further questions I’d be glad to answer them.

Best Beach in NJ?

Island Beach State Park, hands down. When I go to the beach I do not want to be around people, so all the other beaches are too crowded for me. The good thing about Island Beach is that if you are willing to drive out far enough you'll be pretty much by yourself. You have to pay about $6 to get into the park.

They have two main beaches with restrooms, lifeguards and food stands. These are generally packed. But you can get your food and whatever else and then, if you drive out more, you'll find smaller beaches without the amenities, but also without people smoking and playing their rap music too loud while wearing bikinis that they wouldn't have looked good in 20 years ago. You should get there early because there's probably a dozen or so parking spots at each little beach, but it's worth it.

Seaside Heights is a pit. You get the spill over from the boardwalk, which doesn't exactly have a classy clientele. The same can be said for Wildwood. Point Pleasant is lovely, but the time spent sitting at the exit (and it will be a looooong time, even mid-week) to actually get there isn't at all worth it. LBI is clean and pretty, but PACKED with families with small, squalling children.

If you're willing to drive way down, Cape May is another option. The beaches are pristine and not as packed as the beaches that are higher up and the surrounding town is adorable (lots of cute shops and some pretty good restaurants).

EDIT: You know what really bothers me? When someone comes in and thumbs downs everyones answers because they think theirs is better. You know how you can tell who the culprit is? Because they're the only one without a thumbs-down.

EDIT, again: I went to Sandy Hook once when I was a kid. I came out of the ocean covered in some sort of oil, because I guess there was some sort of a spill. I'm sure things are much cleaner now than they were in the late '80s, but that memory keeps me away from that place.

Beach near Medellin Colombia?

Medellin is localizated in midle of the mountains, so is not a beach around.
Colombia really don't have big waves to surf, but for snorkel you can go to the pasific ocean to the virgen beachs ,or you can go to the atlantic to santa marta , beachs of naguange, gayraca, taganga or even tayrona (probably the best for try some surf),also visit cartagena and islas del rosario, tierra bomba,
and the san andres island and they archipielage what is probable the best for snorkel activities.

from medellin you will acces by plane to those places and between 200-400 USD per person,, beaches in pasific only acces by land,
