Have a good time,

What do bridesmaids really want for gifts?

I know its just a gesture and all on my part - but I want to give them something that they would actually enjoy. My bridesmaids aren't real girly girls so I think all of that traditional monogramed stuff is out.

Anyone ever recieve something they actually liked? Any ideas? Thanks!

Oh, and I guess my budget is up to $20 per gift.

I often get shocks from hand rails in escalator. When I turn around realise to my surprise others have no issues. Why is it so?

Probably because they are or have been better "earthed" before they get on the escalator. The static electricity discharge you are feeling is because you are insulated from ground - your shoes, synthetic ones in particular, are excellent insulators and so allow charge to accumulate and remain as you walk to the elevator. The metal parts on the escalator are very well grounded for safety reasons so that a stray powered wire inside cant touch the metal and electrocute all the riders... So - you, well insulated and charged up to a few kV, bring your hand close to the metal, well grounded, and "flash" - a shock. Your fellow riders with less good insulation (e.g., leather shoes), or who had previously had a discharge shock somewhere else - no shock.  BTW - the floor you are walking on can make quite a difference to the potential to gather charge. Fancy materials like quartz tiles or ceramics or synthetic carpets all allow the charge to build up more than wood or wool carpets, and your shoes are well insulated don't allow this to dissipate as you step onto the metal at the start of the elevator. You will probably notice that you never feel this shock if the ground is wet.

Any tips when going 4 camping, especially in the tropics? what if i get lost?

what kind of tools should i bring, food... what kind of clothes n shoes should i wear? any other things that i should be aware of... like danger animals, insects, poisonous plants... or something else... more information would be better, as much as possible...

Why did Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu serve dinner in a shoe to Japan's Prime Minister Abe and his wife? That was extremely insulting!

I read a recent article about the shoe shaped container that was used as a prop to serve deserts at the official dinner of Israeli Prime Minister Nethanyahuu and Japanese Prime minister Abe. The problem here is not the chef. It looks like a fight between Israeli Prime Minister’s protocol (PMP) people with Ministry of Foreign Affairs protocol (MFAP) people. It is a catfight.Usually PMP coordinates the work of the PM. For example, the daily protocol activities are done by PMP. MFAP usually does not work with PM on a daily basis. The point of contact is during the state visits of PM abroad, and when foreign leaders arrive in their country. So even though their work is similar, they work for different immediate bosses. The official visits of foreign leaders are planned months in advance. Nothing is left to chance. PMP would lead the preparations for the State visit. The MFAP would coordinate with the Japanese side and work on the points such as the documents to be signed etc.The Japanese side would give the list of things that their leader would not or cannot eat. People have all kinds of restrictions nowadays. Some people are vegetarian, so obviously no meat. Sometimes they have to control their food intake because they have diabetes or allergies.PMP would provide a detailed list of the food that would be on the menu. The food is then prepared in small batches to see how it looks and tastes like. Usually the tasting is done and approved by the Prime Minister’s protocol people. After the menu is approved, the document is signed and you cannot change the menu, unless approved by the protocol. So unless the chef changed the menu at the last minute, he is not to blame. The Protocol people must have seen and tasted it beforehand. This is clearly PMP’s fault. But in the scheme of things, it is not something that would affect the relations of two countries. Worse things have happened, such as wrong flag or wrong national anthem. So just another day…the offending dessert:

What's the best way to remove fabric glue from fabric?

You need to find out what type of glue you are trying to remove and make certain that you don’t destroy the fabric in the removal process. When using solvents, do a test on a small area that won’t show.Make sure you have clean lint-less (preferably cotton) rags, and a clean stiff bristle brush. Some PVA glues dissolve in warm ammonia and can be gently scrubbed clean with a brush. Some glues can be removed by soaking the glued portion in a strong very warm solution of TSP (tri-sodium-phosphate) until the glue softens and begins to dissolve. This can be safe and effective in removing glue, but may also remove color from your fabric.Certain solvent-based glues can be removed with toluene or benzene, or even acetone. Test first. If the glue is the heat-bonding type, you can lay a clean piece of cotton (like a strip of old sheet) on top of the glued fabric and press a very warm iron on the area for a few seconds (do not overheat or apply excess pressure), then lift off the strip of fabric. This may pull the glue away cleanly or it may require several attempts using clean strips of fabric.Make sure you don’t trash your fabric in the cleaning process.

Would a sterilite container be a good home for a ball python from baby to adult?

Pft. Guys, if you don't know, don't answer. Many breeders and people with 2+ animals keep them in tubs. It is perfectly fine to do so as long as you provide the necessities.

Rubbermaid, Sterilite and RUBs (Really useful box, with locking lids) are popular alternatives to house snakes, as standalone or with a home-made/empty rack.

For a baby, you may use a tub the size of a shoebox/sweater box (8"x12" is generally good). As your snake grows, you may upgrade to a 32-48qt tub as a final size. You can use bigger if you want. Locking tub lids are better that the ones that don't.

The air holes can be drilled on the sides, or the lid. I usually drill my air holes on the side. Start out with 6-10 holes and if humidity is too high, drill out a few more.

You can use only a heat pad or flex watt. A heat pad should be fine, unless you know how to wire flex watt to a thermostat. The thermostat is a MUST for either choice of heating as you are using it with plastic. It will melt/burn if you don't have a proper thermostat. Drilled a hole in the lid for the Thermostat and thermometer probe and make sure that it's not too big or your snake will squeeze through it.

How do you set it up?:
Like normal caging. 1-2 hides, water dish, substrate.

In all, you need:
-Appropriate tub size. 6-15qt for hatchlings , 32-48qt for adults
-Heat mat or flex watt
-Thermostat
-Digital thermometer with a probe (Indoor/Outdoor)
-snake :)
