Why does one speaker on my PC not work until I turn the volume way up, but then it stays working when I turn it down?
Often a failing semiconductor or leaky capacitor or cold solder joint is the culprit, where once it gets a voltage "jolt" it acts normal, but until the voltage is turned up it won't behave properly. If it works after a little warmup time it's more likely a physical connection like a bad solder joint with a hairline crack that flexes slightly after the circuit board gets warm.
Sound in Synthesia won't work?
I added synthesia to my computer a few days ago, and when I went to open it. There was no sound, when a song was playing? How can I fix this so there's sound as I play along?

USB keyboard on Mac PC volume shortcuts?
Hello, the keyboard of my Mac workstation at the office is faulty (the space bar not working properly) so the management bought an A4tech keyboard for replacement. But the problem is, I don't know how to configure the keyboard shortcuts. I want the volume shortcuts (f11-f12) but they don't work on the A4tech keyboard. Can I still assign the volume shortcuts? Those shortcuts are very helpful for me. How can i get volume on my school computer?
Check the bottom right hand corner for the volume control, and if it doesn't work, it's probably because your computer at school doesn't have it's own sound system (speakers) or something like that. I have my headphones, just in case, for school and when I need sound I usually just plug it in the right cord. It should work that way. Good luck!

My headphones won't work on Google chrome but work normally on computer. What is the problem?
I tried different headphones and they didn't work. I tried it on my blackberry and they did. when I played a song from my desktop the sound worked and when I did the earphones test I could hear the ring. When I turn my Google Chrome on and go to youtube or megavideo I can't hear anything or I hear something for 5 seconds. What is the problem and how to solve it? please Help P.S. I have a windows 7
My computer sound isn't working?
I unplugged all the stuff on my comp, then re-plugged everything and after doing so my sound won't work on my panosonic headset anymore... My realtek audio manager says the speakers an microphone are working, an my sound isn't on mute either, an i doubt my sound card can crash just from re-plugging a comp. An I also plugged the headset into the right slots. what gives?
