So I Need Some Help At My College We Had A Drugs Search My Mate Got Caught And Brought Me Into It

Help i got caught smoking weed in school.?

Just be glad the police didn't catch you. Where I live kids caught with any form of drug are not elligible to get a driver's license until they are at least 18, in some cases 21. Plus the probation, fees, drug tests, AND getting suspended from school. Perhaps you should stop smoking weed.

I got caught with weed In school, first time, will I get expelled?

Ok, so I was in school and a Friend of mine got caught with a stem in his pocket so they searched his known accomplices (me & my otheFriendnd) my other friend had nothing but me I had 7 grams of pot in my book bag which was in my locker. Hey took it questioned me and I got arrested they said i had 10 days out of school and I have to in frontont of the board to see if I get an extended suspension explosionion. It's my first time being caught with this in school. I had good grades all year with no f's and I got caught with this within 14 days of school ending. Will I be expelled or jususpendedded? I already no it was soooo stupid!

What should you do, if your parents catch you using drugs (weed) and confront you?

You didn’t say how old you are or what your family’s standards and expectations are in the matter. My brother tried that when he was 14. Mom cleaned his room and found 14 different pipes and bongs which she had laid out on his bed in a decorative way to set the stage for confronting him when he got home. Of course his first defense was that he had just taken them home to “clean” for a friend and he wasn’t really sure what they were. The “for a friend” schtick is as old as dirt and about as effective as holding your breath until you turn blue. (You may have discovered that already.)If you are a teen (or pre-teen) and your parents do not approve, you’ll just have to be sneakier next time (I don’t approve or recommend this, just making a point). At least come up with a better story for when you — inevitably — get caught again.(A very few parents may simply approve, by the way, but even among people who are themselves heavy users of cannabis, there is often an understanding the it can negatively impact the development of an adolescent brain.)I think that many parents in the US these days, having grown up around it themselves (even if they did not approve or indulge) consider that it is just something teens are going to do, like trying on too much makeup or driving their cars too fast to impress others. My own daughter recently asked us what would happen if she went to the beach with her friends and they smoked pot. We told her that, while we appreciated her making the inquiry, we didn’t really feel we could stop it if we tried but not to ride if the driver was impaired. Of course, she is 17 and a half and we live in Northern California. We would have an easier time forbidding her to be around gluten than cannabis in this region so we would be both naive and completely ineffective to just lay down the law.If you’re an adult and cannabis is legal where you live, just ask her politely to return it. If you’re living at home, its your own business whether you use cannabis but still a roommate respect thing as to whether you indulge or store it at home (some jurisdictions can still be very harsh regarding possession and it is not fair to subject any housemates, parental or not, to such risk).Really, though, “holding it for a friend”? I’m surprised she didn’t laugh her ass off (and she probably did once she could relax her strict mom face. If you’re old enough to toke, don’t make your cover story such a joke.

Can a school force you to take a drug test? [SERIOUS. READ. READ.]?

Okay, my friend works with one of my other friends, and she told him that there were these girls in her math class that said they were gonna turn me in because I come to school high all the time.
What?
I've gone to school high like once in my whole life and that was last year, So I know that has nothing to do with it, because the people as far as I know are little freshman b itches so they weren't even here then.
I haven't smoked pot since last summer, so I'm clean of that.
I don't do cocain, meth, or heroin or any other stupid crap like that.
But can the school forcibly make you take a drug test? I'm not in sports and I don't have a job so it's not like they can call a place of employment and ask them to test me.
The thing is, I'm on ritalin, clonodine, zoloft and xanax, all prescription though, but if that shows up then I'm screwed right?
And I took benadryl to get high one night, it makes you trip hardcore, but Idk if that will show up or not.
Don't ***** at me, I know what I'm doing.
But according to my friend, their exact words were "She comes to school high every day! We're so sick of it!" Okay? whatever. I don't even know you, and she refused to give out names to my friend, so all he did was tell me to watch out and If I get called to the office, and if I do, I'm gonna lie my @ss off.

But anyway, can they force you to take a test, without probable cause? I mean they have no evidence. They could search me and everything and wouldn't find anything. All they'd really be able to say is "Oh she gets high". But they don't have any evidence that I do that either.

Caught smoking weed on school grounds, what do I do?

When I was 16 me and a couple of my friends got caught drinking vodka in school and like you I had never been in trouble before. We all got 5 day suspensions. Keep in mind that this was a small town high school in Massachusetts and it was 14 years ago. Best advice ... read your school's student hand book...you can likely find it online. I know some schools these days have a zero tolerance alcohol and drug policy ... if your school does then expulsion my be in your future. To try to help yourself out as far as your permanent record goes... I would write an apology letter explaining the situation in your words and how sorry you are and request that the letter be placed in your school record ... I believe the school MUST comply with this if your parents ask for the letter to go in your student file and if a college asks for your discipline records the school must send that letter along with the record of the incident. I doubt this would effect your chances with any college because just about everyone tries weed once in their life.

Can police search you without cause?

In the case of New Jersey v. T.L.O., in 1980 at Piscataway High School in Middlesex County, N.J. a few girls were caught smoking in the bathroom. After being brought to the principal’s office one of the girls, T.L.O., denied that she had been smoking. The principal then searched her purse looking for cigarettes. After finding a pack of cigarettes the search continued until the principal discovered evidence of drug dealing. This evidence was used to prosecute T.L.O. and ultimately she received a year of probation.

Ultimately the opinion of the court established a “reasonableness” approach to search and seizure rather than a “probable cause” approach as outlined in the constitution. This Supreme Court decision reinterpreted how the law applies in school.

Justice Scalia sets up that the half of the Fourth Amendment that provides for warrants and probable cause isn’t needed in all situations, and then proclaims public schools as a situation where probable cause and warrants are never needed. Scalia referred back to T.L.O. to support his claim that schools have “special needs” but yet goes further than T.L.O. and argues that not only does the warrant requirement not apply, but the situation of “individualized suspicion of wrong doing” that was present with T.L.O. should not apply either.

While the expectation of privacy is something to be respected it can still be viewed on an individual case especially when the rights of the majority override the rights of an individual.

Do drug sniffing dogs search dorms?

He needs to put down the drugs and focus on the reason he is in college in the first place: For an Education. Your not going to get far in life if your a Drug-Head.

As far as Narcotic Dogs in Dorms searching, it all depends on the college every college is different. For example FSU calls in our Drug dogs to do random searches every so often. Some do, Some don't. I would think if someone complains about the smell then there will be a search in the Dorm. And when its found, and believe me it will be found. Your friend can face Criminal charges, Jail time, and expelled.
