So My Blood Sugar Is Normal But My Insulin Level Is Not

What are the normal blood sugar levels?

I WAS TURNED DIABETIC. I DO NOT KNOW. I LOST 20KGS OF WEIGHT WITHIN 15DAYS. AFTER TESTS IT CONFIRMED THAT I HAVE SUGAR MY BLOOD SUGAR WAS FASTING 238 and pp 600. My eyes were wide seeing these reports. AT THE AGE 26 YEARS OLD AND BEING A DIABETIC.I DONOT WENT TO ANY DOCTOR FOR 2DAYS. EVEN THOUGH AT HOME THERE WERE SHOUTS ON ME FOR NOT VISITING A DOCTOR. I WENT TO A ELECTRO HOMEAOPATIC DOCTOR. WHO PROVIDED ME 20–20 DROPS TO BE MIXED IN ONE GLASS OF WATER AND TAKEN 3 TIMES A DAY. WITHIN 3 DAYS MY FASTING SUGAR CAME TO 160 AND TWO WEEKS LATER TO 130 AND TWO WEEKS LATER TO 100. My DIET AVOIDS SWEETS, SUGAR, JAGGERY AND AREATED DRINKS, ANY EATABLE OUTSIDE FOOD CONTAINING SUGAR WRITTEN ON PACKET. IN VEGETABLES POTATO REPLACED BY LAUKY. STRICTLY NO POTATO. PROPORTION CONTROL ROTI OR CHAPPTI NOT MORE THAN 1.5 OR RICE/POHA NOT MORE THAN 4 SPOONS OR RAWA NOT MORE THAN 3 BOWLS OR MAIDA ITEM NOT MORE THAN 1 SLICE OF BREAD. ANY ONE ITEM IN (ONE MEAL) in Every three hours STRICTLY. LEFT OVER HUNGER I STARVE ON SALADS, PAPAD, CURD, HOME MADE VEGETABLES, LIQUIDS AS BUTTERMILK, MILK, LEMON WATER ONLY. MY PP DONOT CROSS 140. TRUST LAB RESULT PERFECT AND ON MACHINE 15% CONSIDER LESS. I DONOT TAKE ANY INSULIN OR MEDICINE NOR WILL TAKE EVEN IN THE FUTURE.YOU CAN KILL DIABETES FOREVER if not consumed allopathic medicine. AFTER BRINGING FASTING TO 100 AND MAINTAINING FOOD PROPORTION control. In diabetes body produces bad cholesterol instead of good one and to convert into good one 1hour walk daily *but after meal* so BP or Sugar should not go down is necessary. You can eat all fruits except banana (1/2 = 1 meal), chikku, mango.Fasting 100 + your age 65 = 165 blood sugar 2.5 hours after meal is normal or average mean glucose in the HBA1C test 165 means normal.I believe diabetes is not a disease but your original state and you can kill diabetes by following Glycaemic Load limits as I done.

Is 81 a normal blood sugar? Or is it a lil high?

Okay, i was having a lil diabetic symptoms so i made an appointment, it was in a week and i decided to cut back on sugary foods during that week so i avoided sugary foods and when i went to my doc they perked my finger and my blood sugar was 81 and they said it was a lil high.. so What is a NORMAL blood sugar? What should the average non-diabetic person's blood sugar be?

So I have fasting blood sugar level of 159 this morning and ?

It's a problem. If you were fasting well under 140 mg/dL, but over normal, I'd say that your long-term goal should be to get closer to normal, but at least you aren't doing damage.

If your blood sugar is over 140 mg/dL for hours every morning (before you wake until you eat breakfast), then you are doing damage to your organs, nerves, and blood vessels. You're also possibly killing off your beta cells - the cells in your pancreas responsible for producing insulin. As a diabetic, you already have, on average, 60% fewer beta cells than a non-diabetic. The more you lose, the harder blood sugar control will become.

You need to get that morning number under 140 mg/dL and preferably closer to 100 mg/dL. That might mean dietary changes, medication, insulin or all of the above, I don't know. Speak to your doctor and don't let him convince you that it doesn't matter because you're dropping after breakfast. Yes, you are, but Dawn Phenomenon can start raising blood sugar as early as 3 AM or so. Assuming a 6 AM waking, that means 2-3 hours of 140+ blood sugar. Not good.

Sugar in urine but normal range Blood sugar?

Why is it when i go to the docs, my urine test come back with sugar...that they are always worried about.....yet my blood sugar doesnt go over 130 even after eating a big meal? My fasting blood sugar is in the 90's. I dunno, but it seems im in normal range but Ive was put on metformin a year ago, yet my urine tests are not favorable and they want to increase my dosage. I will do it to prevent it getting worse but am I or am I not within a normal range? I do plan to ask my doc next appointment but wanted to hear any ideas.......... ty

I have insulin resistance ... my blood sugar this am is 179 .. is this normal for insulin resistance?

FBS 150-179 is a matter of concern, you must see your doctor.
The "dawn effect," also called the "dawn phenomenon," is the term used to describe an abnormal early-morning increase in blood sugar (glucose) — usually between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. — in people with diabetes.
Based on the results of blood testing throughout the night, your doctor may recommend one of the following options to prevent or correct high blood sugar levels in the morning:
Not eating a carbohydrate snack at bedtime
Adjusting your dosage of medication or insulin
Switching to a different medication
Using an insulin pump to administer extra insulin during early-morning hours

Why do I have high insulin levels and normal glucose?

High insulin levels in the presence of normal blood sugar usually means insulin resistance. Insulin is a hormone that uptakes glucose into cells for energy. When the cells become resistant, the pancreas responds by producing more and more to force the glucose into the cells. Often insulin resistance is a precursor to Type 2 diabetes and a feature of Type 2 diabetes.

You don't need as much insulin when you don't eat. Food and beverages - anything that becomes glucose in the blood - require more insulin than a fasting state. So that makes sense. The low blood sugar often goes along with the hyperinsulinemia (high insulin), especially a few hours after meals.

Are you showing any signs of high insulin levels, like darkened pigmentation around the neck, under the armpits or on the groin? Is your HDL cholesterol low? Triglycerides high? Blood pressure elevated? Do you carry more belly weight than other types? If so, you are showing signs of metabolic syndrome, which includes insulin resistance, and should begin following a low-carbohydrate diet to help bring down your insulin levels.

What do low insulin levels mean?

If you had PCOS-caused insulin resistance, your insulin levels would most likely be high. The reason is simple: when the cells become resistant to insulin, the pancreas makes more to compensate. The fact that your insulin levels are normal or low-normal and your blood sugar is normal means that you probably don't have insulin resistance and that you don't have diabetes.

Low insulin levels don't necessarily mean anything unless they're REALLY low. Very low insulin could mean diabetes, but then your blood sugar would be elevated because you wouldn't be producing enough natural insulin. Yours just tell me that you are insulin sensitive and don't need to produce much to metabolize the carbohydrates you're eating, which is the sign of a well-function glucose metabolism. In other words, no insulin deficiency, no insulin resistance, no impaired signaling, normal blood sugar. You are not diabetic or even trending that way.
