So Scared Of Sleep Walking I Am Going Insane

I have bad anxiety issues with God. I am always so scared I'm going to go to hell. How can I fix this?

There are many good answers here which stress God’s love and provide you reassurance that God wants only good things for His children. I would like you to know, though, that you may be suffering from a form of OCD known as “scrupulosity.” This is a very real and debilitating disorder. You see, OCD is not limited to the stereotype of obsessive hand-washing or germ phobia. OCD can take the form of intrusive thoughts. Sometimes these thoughts are very disturbing and not what you consider to be representative of the person you are. And for people of faith, those intrusive thoughts can be the recurring fear that you have somehow permanently offended God, or that you can never be worthy, or that you are going to hell, or that you don’t really believe what you say you believe, and on and on and on. Many religious leaders across the centuries have suffered from scrupulously—Martin Luther, for example. The odd thing is, however, that most ministers, priests, rabbis, have never heard of this condition, nor are they trained to recognize it in their congregants. I urge you to do some reading about OCD and find a compassionate psychologist or psychiatrist if the descriptions of scrupulously seem to apply to you. If you do have this form of OCD, you can learn to manage it with cognitive behavioral therapy and other methods. God is peace. And God wants you to have peace—not to be anxious and torment yourself. “Do not fear” is mentioned in the Bible almost more than any other theme. Look into it, and please take care of yourself.

How can i treat a bad case of sleepwalking?

Im 23 years old male and ive have had a bad case of sleep walking. before i go to sleep, im actually calm, relaxed and in a good mood but when i sleep walk i tend to get violent with my wife. im afraid it can result in more serious problems due to the fact that when i wake up i dont recall anything that happened but i always wake up seeing my wife crying and asking her whats wrong. she explains that i have choked her, hit her and called her a *****, slut and all those terrible insults. there is no reason for me to do that when I'm awake but why do i do it when im asleep. i love my wife and she is the most sweetest and kind person ive known.i feel im going crazy because ive tried recording myself and when i wake up the video was deleted by me in my sleep. as if i was trying to prevent my own self from watching what i really do in that situation. what options do i have? how can i treat this problem. i'm in a really desperate need of help and any advice would be greatly appreciated it.

What should you do if you see somebody sleepwalking?

What things should you do to wake a sleepwalker? What should you do if a sleepwalker is about to do something dangerous? What can you do to treat it? If you have any stories that are just flat out crazy about a sleepwalker can you share it with me? Here is my story about sleepwalking.
One time ago, I was sick with a bad flu. I had a horrible nightmare and it caused me to sleepwalk. I sleepwalked into the bathroom screaming and my mom came out wondering whats going on. I walked into the living room sleepwalking and screaming and then screamed into a pillow. I went back to bed and I woke up and my mom was yelling at me. I didn't know why. What should I do?

I feel like I am sleep walking through life. I feel like I m not really here.?

It's definitely depression. It sounds like your family isn't getting that, and you should try speaking to the family member you most trust about it seriously. Being at home all day, you won't make friends. Three hours of school isn't enough to feel like you accomplished something that day. If you're old enough, maybe you should consider getting a part time job in customer service. I don't recommend big superstores or fast food joints, either. Small places, like a discount store or gas station, are pretty nice, calm places to work without being strenuous. There, you'll get a slight sense of accomplishment and also have opportunities to talk to people and make friends. If you aren't old enough for a job, try telling your parents you want to go to public school. It's sucky at times, but that's where you'll find a best friend to help you through hard times, and being out of the house during schooling hours will definitely help. Other solutions are: setting a task for yourself, such as writing stories. When I was depressed, I decided to write a short story each week. It helped immensely. Post it online, maybe in the form of a blog, and see what people think of it. If writing isn't a hobby of yours, maybe art is. Or video games. Virtual accomplishments count just as well as literal ones in the mind. Most importantly, you need to make your family aware of your feelings so that you're on the same page. Talk to them and ask them what THEY think you should do. Why are they judging you? What do they yell at you about? Come to a levelheaded agreement about what's best for you.

How to help sleepwalking girlfriend?

So my girlfriend lives with me, and since she s moved in I noticed how bad she sleepwalks. She ll be wandering around our bedroom in the dead of night muttering nonsense and she scared me once when she almost tumbled down the stairs a couple weeks ago. And I swear I m not trolling the only thing that makes her stop talking and go back to bed is if I squish a handful of her belly fat. It s really really weird but that s the only way she goes right back to sleep. She always has feint memories of what she was muttering about but it s never clear. She says it feels like a dream. Is there anything we can do to stop the sleepwalking from happening or do we just have to deal with it?

Why do people sleepwalk?

This is a really interesting question. Like all interesting questions, there's really no rock-solid answer to the question. Sleepwalking is usually viewed as a disorder. It generally arises in childhood and disappears after adolescence. However adults can often have bouts of sleepwalking under specific medication. Physiologically, sleepwalking has been correlated with high levels of delta waves during non-REM sleep. However that doesn't explain much about why it occurs. What is most revealing however are the medication combinations that give rise to sleepwalking in adults. Zolpidem, among other drugs, is a sleep-aid that have also been shown to give rise to sleepwalking (1). It acts as an agonist on GABA receptors, which means that it generally slows down neuronal firing. However in some people, this may be more excitatory. This is also correlative to why sleepwalking typically occurs in children. In early neuronal development, GABA is used as an excitatory neurotransmitter, instead of the inhibitory purpose it takes on after maturity. In short, some people sleepwalk most likely because the receptors that are generally supposed to inhibit neuronal activity during non-REM sleep are instead excitatory.(1) Zolpidem-Induced Sleepwalking, Sleep Related Eating Disorder, and Sleep-Driving: Fluorine-18-Flourodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography Analysis, and a Literature Review of Other Unexpected Clinical Effects of Zolpidem

Creepy sleep walking experience... Possession?

Don't be it's all due to stress. My brother used to sleep walk ALL the time as a child. He would get up out of bed, get dressed and head out the front door! Luckily my parents knew of his habit and would put a bell on his door to wake them when he left his room. Their room was right next to his.

I've only had one sleep walking experience ever when I was around 13 years old. I remember going to bed that night feeling anxiety. At that age I didn't real know what that was but I do remember being stressed and anxious over nothing. As I was about to dose off I remember feeling like there was a HUGE stone ball that was rolling towards me =/ don't know what that was all about but I ended falling asleep. I remember waking up to the sounds of my parents talking to our relatives that had come over; I remember thinking "Ok, since they are walking them out from the back I'll just meet them up front and just lock th door and gate behind me and i'll just walk through the back of the house with them!" So I CLEARLY remember getting out of bed, walking down the stairs, out the front door locking it behind me and through the front gate locking that behind me as well!! Now let me tell you we used to live on a major street that always had fast drivers racing through and a liquor store that ALWAYS had drunks and hoodlums hanging around.
So the second I reached the sidewalk I felt cold and instantly woke up realizing it was all a dream and I was standing outside on the sidewalk with my PJ's in the middle of the night with a drunk man walking right across the street looking at me. I remember panicing and running towards the gate and realizing it was locked! I screamed and yelled and banged on the gate till my dad ran out the front door and saw me standing there in the street.
Scariest part is my parents are late sleepers and just watch TV till they fall asleep in their bedroom. None of them heard me go down the stairs and out our loud front door that makes A LOT of noise when opened and closed. When I was screaming they were both still awake but none of them heard me leave.
