So When Is The Next Most Likely Place Bethesda Will Reveal Fallout 4

How likely is it that Fallout 4 will be announced this year?

It's almost certainly going to be announced at Bethesda's E3 event this year.Let's consider some relevant facts and circumstantial evidence:For a couple years we've heard rumors of Bethesda employees exploring landmarks in the greater Boston, Massachusetts area.  Most assumed this meant the next Fallout was in pre-production, to be set in the Boston Wasteland.Bethesda Game Studios (not be confused with the parent company, Bethesda Softworks), the developer behind the mainline Elder Scrolls games (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim) and Fallout 3 is due for a new game.  If we consider the gaps between their previous releases:Morrowind (2002) to Oblivion (2006) = 4 yearsOblivion (2006) to Fallout 3 (2008) = 2 yearsFallout 3 (2008) to Skyrim (2011) = 3 yearsSkyrim (2011) to Fallout 4 (2015/2016) = 4-5 yearsThe timing seems about right. For the first time in its history, Bethesda has decided to hold its own E3 press conference.  I can't imagine they'd spend all this money to attract so many eyes if they didn't have something truly monumental to reveal.Perhaps most revealing of all, we recently heard a rumor about a Fallout 4 cinematic trailer listed on CG artist's LinkedIn profile.  So expect a CG trailer for Fallout 4 at their E3 press conference.

When will Fallout 5 come out?

I believe that Daniel Super estimate is closer to a F5 release estimate than is Kylo Ren’s estimate.I will use the release years of the two major game (The Elder Scrolls and Fallout) series Bethesda Game Studios has developed up to today:TES Morrowind (2002)TES Oblivion (2006)Fallout 3 (2008)TES Skyrim (2011)Fallout 4 (2015)TES Skyrim-Special Edition (2016)*I will try to look for an estimate based on the release of games:There seems on average a five year gap between TES game releases, with a year margin of error. 5 years, -+1 yearOnly two releases of Fallout games ( I am not counting Fallout New Vegas, since that was developed under Obsidian Entertainment) with a seven year gap. I would add a year margin of error. 7 years, -+1 year.Estimate release of Fallout 5 is around 2022, maybe 2021 at the earliest and 2023 at the latest.Daniel Super’s estimate is about right, not accounting the one year margin of error. This is not counting on Kylo’s position that Bethesda Softworks my publish another Fallout game developed by another game developer, a la Fallout New Vegas. In that case my earlier guess, along with Daniel’s, will be thrown out.SourcesBethesda Game StudiosBethesda Game Studios

With Bethesda announcing Fallout 76 as a Online Survival RPG, does this mean they won't do a Fallout 5?

They'll likely still make a Fallout 5, though it could take a while — considering Fallout 76 and the long awaited Elder Scrolls VI.Bethesda have actually yet to announce the nature of the game, it's a leak which states that the game is an online survival RPG according to Kotaku. Apparently it's being co-developed by Bethesda Game Studios in Maryland and their new division in Austin, formerly known as BattleCry Studios who were working on their namesake, BattleCry. According to the article, Fallout 76 will be similar to Rust at some level. We should however take this with a grain of salt and wait until E3 to see whether or not the rumours are true. As for Fallout 5, it will come one day but maybe not for a couple of years. It seems likely 76 will be released this year at some point, possibly October, and hopefully TES VI some time after, probably in a few years or more. Supposedly they also have other games planned not related to either Fallout or The Elder Scrolls, so who knows how long the wait will be.I don't think enough development time has passed since Fallout 4′s release for them to be thinking of bringing out 5 any time soon but it will come one day.I should’ve updated this straight after E3.Fallout 76 announced as an online RPG and will release November 14, 2018.Todd Howard has been critical of comparisons to the likes of Rust, as well as the term “survival”.Fallout 76 “Survival” Is Not the Word That Todd Howard Would Use - GameRevolution

When will the next Elder Scrolls game come out?

A2AI think if we’re very lucky and Bethesda lied to us about the fact that they have two more projects under development before TES VI - then it can be as early as next year or may be two years from now on. Bethesda Game Studio typically spent 3–6 years in development of their particular project and it has been six year since Skyrim (and three years since Fallout 4) so TES VI should be out any time now.If they lied halfway to us and only have one project rather than two in development - then 6 years from now seem like a realistic expectation. New game coming out this year or next year and another 4 years (god please, let it be 4 years) for TES 6IF we are really unlucky and Bethesda told us the truth about their new project and each on of those are as big as TES of Fallout series then.. 12–15 years (and that’s pretty optimistic). May be 4 years for project one, 4 years for project two, and 5–7 years for TES 6..If we are really unlucky then may be we will never see it ever. Taking way too long in development cycle can cause the franchise as well as the development crews to be very detached from the latest trend in game industry. Game such as Starcraft II for example feel dated the first day it came out, Half-Life 2 series never complete, and a lot more popular game in the past that turn into a complete failure after the developer spent decade or more in limbo.I do seriously hope that BSG remain as pinocchio as they were. Because if they were telling the truth then the future is indeed bleak for the TES series

Fallout 3 or 4 -- Which one is better?

Hello,
I am relatively new to the franchise (having only played the first game) and am currently considering to play one of the "newer" games. I am very interested in playing Fallout 4 due to its better graphics, but I have heard that it has received a lot of poor reviews. However, I don't seem to fully understand why the reviews are so poor beyond the unpolished mechanics. I understand there were complaints about its RPG elements -- can you explain this? Being new to the franchise, will this necessarily be an issue to me? Like, what about Fallout 3 (and New Vegas) makes it so much more superior to its successor?
Thanks
