Someone Tell Me Whats Up With My Sleeping

Is calling someone while your asleep a disorder?

Ever heard of sleep walkers? well I'm a sleep CALLER yes, kind of odd. I'm not really sure if that's what you call it, for I've never told my Dr. about it. that's just the name I gave it. I have my friends tell me that I've called them up to 3 times in one night like at 3 in the morning not responding to their "hello" I've called my boyfriend too and have left a message. saying that I needed him. I've called his best friend and had a 5 min. conversation with him and in the morning I don't remember any of it. one thing is for sure I do sleep with my cell next to me I tuck it under my pillow. I always talk on it before I fall asleep to say goodnight to my boyfriend. I've never met anyone with the same issue but i know i'm not the only one. this is something that really scares me if its scaring for me its odd to my friends and creepy. i don't know if its a disorder. it started when I was 15 i'm now 17. before I was a "Sleep Caller" I was a sleep walker. I was about 8. its a good thing I'm not a sleep driver yet...

When you talk in your sleep. are you telling the truth?

Do you dream truth? I mean, if you dream you're being chased through a house, up and down stairs, and you fall and break your ankle... is that truth? Or is it just our imagination running wild on us? In your sleep, you might holler something like "GO AWAY, LEAVE ME ALONE!" because you're being chased in your dreams... should your spouse take that as a sign you want him to sleep on the couch?

How about if you've been stressing about your new job so much that you dream you're working, doing the same task over and over. If you say something related to that, would it be true, too? Perhaps. But it's more of a situational thing.

Think of talking in your sleep as accidentally reading part of a fantasy book out loud. It might be true, it might not be true. Yes, it's something in your head, but that doesn't neccessarily make it something you would say while you're awake... or even think about while you're awake.

Talking in your sleep sometimes comes and goes with the stress in your life. Try taking it easy for a while, and start a bedtime routine. What helped for me is taking a long hot bath... brushing my teeth, washing my face, brushing my hair... maybe some hot tea or something. Good luck!

Whats the longest you have gone without sleep?

The world record is set by Randy Gardner in 1965, he was 17 at the time. he stayed up for 264 hours (11 days). there have been reports that people have beat that record but honestly the world is full of liars. i couldnt beat 264 if i injected redbull into my forehead and had 3 bottles of caffeine pills

also he doesnt have insomnia otherwise the record would be....well i can assure you it would destroy 11 days.

the longest i have gone is probably ummm in the 70 some hours. my uncle said he was forced to stay awake for like 6 straight days for navy seal training and thats the longest of anybody i know so far

Mad about something I said in my sleep?

Its just an excuse for him to break up with you

Why do we feel angry when someone wakes us suddenly from sleep?

A2A: Why do we feel angry when someone wakes us suddenly?Actually, you will find that we don’t always feel like that. And certainly not all of us.The reaction to disturbed sleep comes deep from within the person’s psychology. For example, a mother awakened by her baby’s cry does not feel angry. Tired or irritated, maybe, but not angry. But before that, it is much associated to how we are being awakened. Much depends on the vocal patterns of the person waking us up.You know, we can hear from long before we actually wake up enough to process what we are hearing. So much of the voice of disturbing person goes in the brain before we gain sense enough to react. Therefore, in what tone are they calling us to wake up determines what would be the reaction.Suddenly waking up always makes the body to give us a small dose of adrenaline, since from prehistoric time sudden wakeups were genetically associated with sharp claws and long teeth in the dark. Now it is associated mostly with cute mischievous little sisters or annoyed mothers. So that surge of energy has to go somewhere. When someone wakes up by calling your name in urgent, tense tones, that energy will go into preparing your body for an oncoming battle, and you will shoot upright with a startled “What, what, what happened?”But if the same person is using either a bored voice or a commanding voice, that tone will be processed as annoyance, not emergency. So you are more likely to blurt out, “Fuck you.” Or punch the clock. And then roll over and keep snoring.Beyond that, if you’re in a position of power, (or if you think so), then any wakeup calls will be treated with some degree of annoyance, regardless of the vocal pattern.

What sleep stage is it hardest to wake someone up?

First off, you have to know that there are two types of sleep. Rapid Eye movement (REM) and Non-rapid eye movement(NREM) But to answer your question, REM is the fifth stage and the hardest to wake a person because at this stage, the brain becomes highly active and dreaming occurs at this stage. Moreover, the muscles of the body becomes involuntary and tends to be dead and to wake a person up while dreaming can be a bit difficult. Hope it helps.

My ex told me that they've been sleeping with other people since the break up 2 weeks ago. Why would they tell me this?

Its possible none of this has happened but they want gauge your reaction. Are you jealous? Are you angry? If so, that shows you still care?It sounds like mind games from what you’ve said. Depending on how you feel about that person, I’d say put it out of your mind and move onwards and upwards. If you still like that person then you can either accept that this may have happened for real but you weren’t together so its okay and possibly look to rekindle your relationship.

Whats the difference between hooking up, having sex, and sleeping with someone?

Having sex with someone is the same thing s sleeping with someone - both are slang terms referring to having intercourse.

Hooking up with someone doesn't necessarily have to involve sex, it can just be you and another person kissing and the like (generally as a once-off or for a short period of time) but not being a couple.

What will happen if you wake someone up while he/she is experiencing sleep paralysis?

They will be very grateful to you. If you see that your partner is having sleep paralysis, wake them up ASAP please. People who suffer from this condition try to find a way to send signals to the outside world that they need a shake - they would make noises, breathe irregularly, or blink weirdly. While you hear/see that from the outside, from the inside they'll be screaming because of a true horror. An alien might be cutting them, a ghost sitting on their bed, or something like that.Even the best case of sleep paralysis - being awake without being able to move - is very unpleasant, so go ahead and wake them up. Shaking the arm or a light slap does the job.

What was the most wonderful dream u ever had while sleeping?

I had a dream about marrying my girlfriend, it was so real, and the joy I felt during that dream just carried over when I woke up. I mean if I can dream about something like that and have it feel that incredible in my sleep, how is it going to feel when someday, hopefully, if I'm lucky, it actually happens? It's pretty exciting.....
