Sony Handycam Hdr-cx220

Sony Handycam DCR-TRV350 Digital-8 error E:61:10 fix myself and how.?

This particular error usually signifies a stuck internal lens. Try turning the camera on, removing the tape, and then zooming in and out as you whack it a few times against a semi-hard surface. Don't bump it hard enough to shatter anything inside (or out), but aim for just hard enough to make a sticking lens release.

If this does not work then you must bite the bullet and either send it to Sony for service or replace it. Please let me know if this works for you.

My Sony Handycam videos won't show up on my computer?

Hi Kristine, and welcome to Yahoo!Answers:

You have the UK/European version of the HDR-CX220, but with either edition you can select to record videos in either AVCHD or MP4 format. You didn't say what kind of computer you have (the Sony Handycams used to come with a CDROM containing their Sony Picture Motion Browser ("PMB"), but now ship with Sony PlayMemories Home software, both of which are Windows PC apps). There's an online version for Mac users called "PlayMemories Online Uploader" that only works with MP4 videos.

Sony's Support website also cautions that you may have to switch Index screens on your Handycam to display the video files (they can be HD, MP4, or STD): http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product...

For a beginner video user, you should shoot in web-friendly MP4 format, since not all computers and software can handle AVCHD video easily. And correctly finding the AVCHD video subfolder on your camera's memory can be tricky without a media browser to help you.

Your Sony Handycam manual (printed or CDROM version) should have the correct UK or Europe website address for Sony's excellent eSupport website, but you can start with the US version to find out more about the PlayMemories Home browsing and transfer software (enter which Operating System your computer uses): http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home... [BTW: when entering the Handycam model #, be sure to use the ZERO "0" and not the letter "O" in your model #, like you did in your Question; it makes a big difference to use the correct model info!]

I also added two Sony links for the UK support site for your "CX220E" model version in my Sources below.

hope this helps,

My kids want to make simple how-to videos for YouTube. What's a good, simple filming set-up for them: iPhone + tripod or a simple video camera? What do people who make YouTube videos use?

Thanks for your A2A, Marc. As a matter of fact, people who make YouTube-videos use whatever is available to them. Since your kids are just starting out, using an iPhone on a tripod is good enough. Just remember to hold it sideways when filming. A lot of starting YouTubers hold it upright, which looks terrible because of the big black sidebars in the video. You can even use an external microphone in your iPhone to improve the sound quality (as this video demonstrates):A very important aspect of making videos is editing. If you have a Mac, you'll already have a great video editor in iMovie. On the PC you'd have Windows Movie Maker, but Movie Maker isn't as powerful. You might want to look into editing software such as Sony Vegas or Magix Video Deluxe.Something that starting YouTubers have to understand is this: uploading videos is just 50% of the work. The other 50% is about connecting to other YouTubers. There are hundreds of millions of people on YouTube, so the chance that people will discover your videos by accident is very small. However, if you reach out to other starting YouTubers, write nice comments and encourage them, they'll like that very much. And then they'll start to get interested in your channel as well. A good way to find other YouTubers (especially smaller channels who have just started out) is using The YouTube ChannelCrawler. Here's a picture to illustrate this point:Think of the YouTube-community as a vast universe with millions of stars (users). You're the little star at the arrow. At first, it's very hard to connect to other people, because there are just so many of them. But if you look closer, you'll see that users are connected. If you reach out to another user, he/she knows other people as well. And if they like your videos, their subscribers will notice your videos as well.I hope this helps. Feel free to visit my YouTube-channel Commentorio's YouTube Tips for more tips and tricks, and have your kids send me a message when they need more help. I'm sorry to say that I haven't posted new videos on my English channel for awhile (I've been focusing on my German channel), but I'm planning on creating new YouTube tutorials in English real soon.Good luck to your kids! I'm looking forward to seeing great tutorials from them :).
