Spirits Should I Clean/smoke/scavenge

How do I keep my cat from tearing into every piece of trash he can find?

We have a 7 month old male cat. Fixed! He CONSTANTLY gets on the counters! And while that's not normally an issue in of itself. The problem lies with him digging into whatever trash or food MIGHT be on the counters.

We have to have locked trash cans so he doenst pull the trash out to eat. But aside from that, this cat somhow manages to find any hint of food, drag it out, and eat every single crumb. I've got 6 cats, and NONE of them have ever done that until this guy came into the picture!

Ultimately the problem i'd like to correct is getting on the counter! I've tried the double sided tape things, and he doesnt care at all. We spray em with the water bottle, but he just waits until we go to bed to do it all.

We don't have a lot of cabinet space, so we would typically leave bananas, tomatoes, etc; on the counter. BUT we can no longer do that due to him ravaging anything and everything food like.

He eats twice daily, and is de-wormed. Has been health checked and is perfectly fine.

Are there any tips or suggestions to curb the scavenging behavior, and to keep him off the counters?

Can you get high from the smell of marijuana?

Yes you can.Although it would be more accurate to say that you can get high from the SMOKE, not just smell.I was smoking weed with my non-weed smoker in my minimally ventilated 3x4 room once, and after some time my friend got bloodshot red eyes and being calm. So I can tell he is definitely high. But probably it would depends a lot on how much smoke is swirling around and your level of tolerance towards THC.My cat also get docile everytime I smoke weed in said room with her around, so probably she gets secondhand high too. But apparently she doesn't like it so most of the time she would go out if I start to smoke haha

Humans aren't designed to eat meat?

I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I understand people don't eat meat for ethical and health reasons, but I'm curious of this specific argument. Humans have bacteria in our stomachs that are designed to break down meats. Also, I've done some research and found it interesting that our wisdom teeth were said to be necessary for breaking up small bones and chewing and that our appendix were said to be necessary in breaking down raw meats in our bodies. Do you think humans evolved omnivores and were actually more carnivorous than herbivores? I'm talking about way back when. Obviously since we don't need our wisdom teeth or appendix to survive anymore. Thoughts?

What happens when dogs eat cigarette butts?

Dogs can and have died from ingesting nicotine, from eating tobacco or more commonly by chewing on nicotine patches or e-cigarettes. Nicotine toxicosis is a less common but potentially fatal form of poisoning in dogs which results in a handful of deaths every year in the US.If you have a dog expressing interest in chewing on cigarette butts I would be very concerned and make a serious effort to keep tobacco, used or unused, away from them. The nicotine in a single cigarette can make even a large dog seriously ill, and the nicotine in a pack of cigarettes, or a single nicotine patch, or single e-cigarette charge, can kill almost any size dog. A small dog ingesting a cigarette butt is an emergency, on confirming ingestion the pet owner should immediately consult their vet or call the ASPCA poison hotline: (888) 426-4435

How long does it take for your brain to rewire itself after quitting marijuana?

It’s different for everybody. We need to start doing much more research on Cannabis. And we need to legalise it as soon as possible. There are numerous people with stories of withdrawal including myself that are pretty bad. Why? Because you can get addicted to weed if you’re misusing it.It’s the same with any substance.Addiction always has underlaying issues you’re trying to cover with substance abuse. Doesn’t matter if its opioids, alcohol, weed and even cigarettes. So telling people that a few days or weeks and you’ll be good is not true if they were abusing it. It takes a long time, because you have to process all these things while sober and not hide it with substance abuse. In my case the underlaying cause was a drastic life change, a combination of broken family + ending a long-term relationship. Eventhough I’m successful in my business life and have the best friends one can have it didn’t help. I’m in my thirties btw.It took me well over a year to get over it completely. Depression, Anxiety, random pain, neuropathy, loss of libido etc… this can be devastating to your mental health. And you need to make positive changes in your life to get over it otherwise you’ll go back and do the same old habit again and again. I smoked 3–5 joints a day.Weed changes your endocanabioid system and stops natural production of dopamine if you overdoit. This system needs time to rewire itself. It is ok if you puff every now and then but don’t do it daily and don’t hide yourself with drugs. Also - the potency of the stuff available now or 10 years ago is drastically changed. THC levels now are so much higher and this is something we need to explore more to see what long-term effects they cause. We know what Xanax misuse does, we know how bad cigarretes are, we know how bad opioids can be…We need to know how bad MJ is when using it long-term.Just my in…All the best,Mike
