Spiritually Speaking Why Is Hair So Important To People

Why is the word marriage so important?

Yes an no.

Marriage is a legally binding union. Forget the church crap because whether or not you marry in a church as long as its a certified marriage celebrant of some kind thats what legally makes it a marriage.

Marriage has over 1100 rights bound to it that civil union doesn't so yes I want marriage. Is the word important. Yes and no but mainly yes. Because if gay people can have for example a Binding or whatever you call it and straight people can have a marriage and the only difference is the sexual orientation then you are creating division between gays and straights. Which is exactly what we want to abolish.

And when does sexual orientation give you ownership of a word, thats kinda last century. Are we not progressing as a people?

Some rights a civil union misses out on

Right to make a decision about last rites

Why did Hitler want to kill brunettes and brown eyed people when he was one himself?

It was not hair or eye colour that Hitler was against. He was exterminating Jews as a race as he took them as inferior and had contaminated the German blood.

Hitler was greatly influenced since he was a youngster by the "Superman" philosophy by Niche and the Anti-Semitism hatred in most part of Europe.

Hitler was not "mad", he's just firmly believed something that was utterly wrong. In Mein Kampf he wrote everything down without hiding anything. And after he's in power, he just execute it cold bloodedly.

Why do people choose to have dreadlocks? I'm interested in white people who choose them, since it's not a part of any common cultural traditions I am aware of among white people. What do you like about how they look or feel, or what they mean?

actually, thats a common misconception that dreadlocks are not part of every culturealso white is a color, not a culture.. more akin to race then culture, and there are thousands of cultures that not only wore dreadlocks historically, but cultures cross racial devidesnow the most over simplified answers are:1: dreadlocks are the natural state of all hair and growing dreadlocks alows you to feel like the most natural human being you are.2: dreads are spiritual and part of 99% of all the worlds religions and spiritual practices.3 dreadlocks are freedom from vanity and societal expectations4: since all hair is a constant struggle to prevent dreads (theres a billion dollar industry just in preventing hair from dreading) many people just give in cause its so much easier to just let your hair be as it wants to be5: every culture has worn dreads, from celts to vikings to native american tribes to arabs in the dessert and ofcourse the sadhus in india6: many ‘whites” as you say grow dreads for biblical reasons like the nazarite vow which spans both christianity and juduasm, and is very similar to the reasons many rastafarians dread.point is humans had dreadlocks long long before there was a such thing as culture.. before there was a such thing as society or civilizationdreadlocks arent about culture race, or why each individual wears them its about how they make you feel wich is personal to everyonetheres alot of discussions about why people dread here History-And-Religious-Significance - Dreadlocks Forums

Why do people still have mullets?

To hide their red necks. ;)

How to be less crass/blunt/ and offensive when speaking with others?

I am a lot like you.

I have been told that I am rude or too tough.

I grew up in an environment where my mother speaks and still speaks to me very rudely and is very negative. Not only that, but when my parents separated I was left in our house by myself a lot on top of being too shy to really make friends in school. Plus, those kids made fun of me for having short hair, so I didn't deal with people much growing up, which makes my social skills not the best.

I have tried to change the way I react to people, but people just annoy me so much and I was never taught how to really deal with people. And whenever some one has tried to correct my behavior it came off as overly critical and pushes me further away.

In Leviticus 19:27 it says you can't cut your hair or shave? Why not?

I was talking to this one lady today who says she's a christian, and that she never cut her hair in her life. She says God says in the bible that women must keep their hair long because it's their glory or something. Her hair is all the way down, almost past her knees! She told me that I wasn't supposed to be shaving my face, because it's a sin for men to do. I don't shave my face because I still don't have any facial hair, but she says that real men and women are supposed to have hair all over your body and that you aren't supposed to mess with it, and that you must continue to let it grow. I asked her where in the bible did it say that, and she told me to look in Leviticus 19:27.
What's makes hair so important? I don't find hair that long on women attractive at all. And I don't find men like age 40 and younger attractive with a beard, because it makes them look much older than they really are.
