Steps To Write A Love Story

How do you write a love story when you have never been in love?

I'm a teeneage boy and I'm writing a series of novels and one of the novels has a lot of romance and is more of a love story. Different from the action of the other novels. I have never been in a relationship and don't know how to write a love story when I have never been in love. Help please.

PS: I have been attracted to some girls and had crushes on them, but they never liked me back. Is that the same thing as being in love? Even when they don't love you back?

I want to write poem and some love story, how should I start?

I have no clue about the poems but for the stories, I would suggest the following.Read- Don't just read as a reader. Try to analyse and figure out how the writer turns and twists the plot. The quality of books you read would also play a crucial role. Reading is necessarily the first step.Write- After reading a book or two, try to write a story of your own. Always begin with a short story, 1000 to 1500 words would be good. Never ever go for writing a long stories initially. To be honest, there is no other rule apart from the above two. But for a good love story always keep in mind the following.Always develop your protagonist first before writing a story. Often people force the story on the protagonist. In such case the protagonist becomes unreal. However, if you develop your protagonist and let them decide what they want to do, the story becomes by far real and good. The two main protagonists should have some goals, which must conflict. Nobody likes a straight forward love story without any ups and downs. But the conflicts must sound natural. Write the first draft as quickly as possible. Good writing comes from rewriting. So don't dwell for too long on the first draft.Write everyday to build your writing muscles. Also ask your friends or third party people to genuinely review your work. Hope this helps. Thank You.

If you can write your own love story, how will you want that to happen and with whom?

I believe when two people are in love with each other, you can see it in their eyes. The way they look at each other, the way they stare at each other, its all there. My story,Not a fairy tale but a fantasy in it's own self.A story that starts with two souls lurking peace.Peace that is eternal. Peace that they receive in each other's arm. They meet as strangers, not knowing that destiny is playing it’s witty game. Coiling in the laid net, they become friends and then they realise each other’s value. They bow down before each other not out of defeat but with respect. They spend days not talking to each other not because they are angry but because they want destiny to know that now they are in control. The mere net laid by her, the strings of this net is now in their hands. They don’t speak words to listen to each other’s silence, untold pain, the pace of each other’s heart beat, the rhythmic breath. Their love is like a metal, when struck by each other’s touch, resonates and vibrates. We won't say it often but feel it every second that we love each other to every bit of our souls. A passion that ignites with a mere sight of the other. A relationship were meeting and growing old isn't important but keeping the spark for each other alive till the last breath matters :)And with whom, that shall stay a mystery till I myself feel it burning in my heart!!THANKS:-)

What are some good ideas for writing a love story?

Any story must have three parts; the introduction of the characters and the situation, the development of the story, and a conclusion that will leave the reader wanting more. The characters must be attractive to the reader. They need not necessarily be physically attractive, but the reader must feel sympathetic toward them and their situations. A good author can craft characters that will come to the mind of the reader even when they are not reading the story. “I wonder what Elaine is doing?”The characters must face obstacles, conflict, some kind of serious hinderance to their desires to be together. It can be societal resistance, bigotry, illness, difference in social class, religion, or nationality. It can be differences in the ancestral customs of their parents. Whatever it is, it must appear insurmountable. Not every love story turns out with a happy ending. If the writer wants to end with sunshine and bluebirds and everlasting love, that’s fine. If so, it must be believable. If the ending is not happy one, it may be a good idea to give the reader at least a bit of hope. Not good to piss off your audience.

How should I start writing a book of my own love story?

If you mean from your own experience just write what was going on in your mind and what y'all talked about and the lows and highs. Write what ever you feel comfortable saying. If you mean writing a fictional story than write it like any story but with a little airy like everything is perfect in the highs and completely heart crushing in the lows. Also include conflict. Make them have a disagreement and split apart for a little while and go into their heads. If you want them to stay apart forever or live happily ever after is your choice and that's all I have to say. Good luck and may your pen have ink and your pencil have lead (graphite).

Can you write a tragic love story in just one paragraph?

A summary of my love story. Its just another love story, but to me this is the most tragic one, I have learned to live in the present and plan for the future, instead of waiting for good times in the future. She loved me.I took my time.So she waited. Finally I fell in love with her.She was the happiest person on earth, and so was I having found her.We planned and waited for a better future.Destiny took us to different states.I love her more than anything else in the world. She moved on and I still don't know why.I still love her and its my turn waiting now.In the three years that I have known her. We truly loved each other only for about a period of three months and spent the rest of the time waiting, planning our future, trying to make things work and waiting. We never lived in the present and celebrated our love and now I regret it. I should have shown her the best time in the world. Now I have learnt my mistakes but she is not with me. But wherever she is I wish her luck and hope she is truly happy with no regrets. God I miss her and wish she was by my side right now, but life moves on.

I'm planning to write a fiction love story novel. What are some tips?

Now, I don’t write romance, but what I recommend is reading a lot of romance novels in order to get a feel for the genre and general guidelines. You must also understand what the readers are expecting.Writing is a contract deal. The readers demand, you deliver. It’s not always clean cut, but you must make sure you aren’t breaking the deal. What appeals to a reader? What appeals to you?Other than that, good luck! Don’t take my advice as something absolute though. Writing is an art, and consider it as such. I have a good feeling your book will turn out well.Good luck, my friend!
