Stomach Pains Bloating I Need Some Advice

I have extreme gas and bloating of the stomach. Any advice on medications to take?

I've been experiencing lots of gas in my stomach as well as bloating. I'm belching all day long and my stomach gets as hard as a rock. I don't have pains, but I do have nausea. Sometimes the gas is so bad I just want to vomit. Furthermore, my stomach is so swollen people are now asking if I'm pregnant! (Of course, they should know that if I were, that it would be my lower abdomen that would be big, not upper.) I don't know what to do. I haven't gone to the doctor yet because, honestly, I no longer have health insurance. I'd like to find a strong and effective over-the-counter medication that works! I've tried Gas-X and almost everything else, but NOTHING works. I do have some Zantacs around the house and am wondering if these will work for gas (I'm aware they're taken for heartburn). Anyone have any advice? I'm willing to pay more for something that'll work. Please help! Thanks.

Gas and Bloating in back and stomach?

~symptoms of gallbladder~
People can go for years with digestive symptoms and never realize that they may be related to a gallbladder problem. That's because they are so inter-related with other digestive symptoms. Constipation is one of the most commonly missed ones. The list provided here may be related to gallbladder but bear in mind that it could also be something else. The first four mentioned I feel are most indicative of gallbladder issues. It is not necessary to have all or many symptoms to have gallbladder problems but the more you have from this list, the more confirmation you have that the gallbladder is involved. Please note that it is still advisable to consult your doctor for an accurate diagnosis.
Pain or tenderness under the rib cage on the right side
Pain between shoulder blades
Stools light or chalky colored
Indigestion after eating, especially fatty or greasy foods
Nausea
Dizziness
Bloating
Gas
Burping or belching
Feeling of fullness or food not digesting
Diarrhea (or alternating from soft to watery)
Constipation
Headache over eyes, especially right
Bitter fluid comes up after eating
Frequent use of laxatives

*Please note that if you are in severe pain and particularly if your attack symptoms are accompanied by fever DO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY. The following symptoms are typical of a gallbladder attack.

Moderate to severe pain under the right side of the rib cage
Pain may radiate through to the back or to the right shoulder
Severe upper abdominal pain (biliary colic)
Nausea
Queasiness
Vomiting
Gas
Burping or belching
Attacks are often at night
Attacks often occur after overeating
Pain will often but not always follow a meal with fats or grease
Pain may be worse with deep inhalation
Attacks can last from 15 minutes to 15 hours

I would keep a food journal & see what kind of food exacerbates your problem & try to eliminate those foods.
Time to get a 2nd opinion...

Having stomach bloating and upset after food. I have gallbladder stone and Fatty lever?

I would suggest that you meet a gastroentrologist and also do an endoscopy if you have not done it then only a clear picture could come out since you have already mentioned that you had ulcer in the past 4 years, it indicates that you must be having gastritis/ulcer, which a gastroentrologist only can diagnose after doing an endoscopy.

Also, since the gallbladder stone is small, there is no need for removal, only if it is causing a problem then only the stone is required to be removed but never remove the gallbladder whatever the doctor's may say.

As you have mentioned that you are obese and putting on weight, it indicates that your body is telling you that something is wrong, take preventive action, it also means that there is a nutrient absorption issues within your body hence you are putting on weight.

Fatty liver can be cured any time.

Also, you need to change your lifestyle and go for the following lifestyle.
1. Reduce but dont completely stop taking fatty food/oil fried items/cheese/butter/sugar, that make up the cholesterol, one should have little bit cholesterol daily for the body
2. Start exercising daily and see if your weight comes down, provided you do the point no.1 and no health issues relating to heart.
3. Check your Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Stool(this i think the gastroentrologist might also advise)
4. While eating your breakfast, lunch and dinner, chew your food properly so that saliva is mixed and helps the stomach to waste less energy on digesting the food intaken by you.
5. Stop drinking water half and hour before the point 4 and atleast 1 hour after taking in the food.
6. After dinner do not go to sleep immediately but walk for some time and go to sleep after 2 hours only.
7. Avoid acidic food and drink plenty of water during the day.

I would say apart from meeting a gastroentrologist, also meet a good ayurveda doctor, who really is best in his field. Hope this helps

I have cramps, bloating, extreme gas, stomach pain and diherea.?

The smartest thing you could do for your poor innards would be to NOT eat, actually. If you have some sort of intestinal bacterial infection, all you are doing is feeding it, which is appreciates by reproducing and making gas. Your body is trying to defend itself by giving you diarrhea and cramps, in hopes you will get the message. So listen to it. Quit eating for the next 24 hours. Drink only clear liquids- water, apple juice, sports drinks if you must, anything you can see through except alcohol. After 24 hours, eat bananas, white rice, apples/applesauce, and white bread/crackers. You will still get rumbles, but the diarrhea should stop sometime during that first day. The gas will of course, pass. And with it, the bloated sensation. If after the second day you are diarrhea free, you can then have bland things- plain potatos, noodles, lean meat, broth based soups. Leave the dairy entirely alone. No milk, no cream, no butter, no yogurt, no ice cream. Each day, you can add more things to your diet, just stay away from fatty stuff, highly spiced foods, and dairy. If you are still doing well in one week, have a carton of live culture yogurt to replenish your normal gut bacteria. Eat a small carton each day for three days, and then you can have all the other dairy again. Just reintroduce it gradually- don't dive into a quart of ice cream. That is the best cure there is. Don't take medications like Immodium, to stop the diarrhea. Your body needs to clean house, not have all the gerbies bottled up inside. If you try it, you will have a new definition of bloating, gas and cramps- and the doctor won't be able to help until it wears off- about a day. So stop eating, drink loads, and it should improve in about 24 hours.

For the last week, I have had severe bloating, churning and pains on the right side of my stomach. What could I have that would result in having these symptoms for 7 days?

You need to see a doctor immediately. Go to the ER or Casualty Department of a hospital. That’s justified since this sure sounds like an emergency, whatever the cause turns out to be.Go and see a doctor right now. And let’s hope it’s not already too late.In case the question changes, the one I answered was: “For the last week, I have had severe bloating, churning and pains on the right side of my stomach. What could I have that would result in having these symptoms for 7 days?”

Stomach flu advice Please?

I think I have the stomach flu..
i've had non stop diarhea, my stomach hurts, grumbles very often, i get cramps, i feel bloated.. i puked for a couple days, but now it's just the diarhea..
Are oranges bad to eat when I am feeling this way/have the flu??
Or are they okay?
What else should I eat?
I don't feel like eating because everytime I do it feels like it goes straight to my bowels.
I read on a website to just drink clear liquids.. is this true?
Please help, I don't feel good, thank you so much!
