Strange Things We Can See If We Watch Yahoo News True Or False

Why do some watch MSNBC & CNN where nothing but mere personal opinions spun to sound like facts is acceptable to the average idiot as facts?

They've be3en brainwashed, so they're hopelessly retarded and mindlessly believ3e all the awful lies MSNBC and CNN tell.

Is it a strange to like disturbing stuff?

I used to think this was normal, until I thought about situations in the past. For instance: I'll be watching a show or news report with friends, and they go into detail about murder, suicide, mental issues or just other strange stuff, and my friends will complain or ask to change the channel (which I do out of courtesy). I, on the other hand, get this rush in the back of my brain, and I actually like disturbing stuff. PLEASE don't get me wrong. DON'T confuse this with liking the feeling of killing or something terrible, because I DO NOT have that. Also, I obviously don't like the fact that terrible things happen to people, and I feel compassion. I just like hearing about messed up stuff. Should I confront this, or is this just human nature? Thanks.

Has anything weird happened after watching the conjuring?

Haven't watched that one (I'll wait for it on DVD) yet, but I've seen all the top 100 scariest horror films of all time so I can still answer your question. I happen to like horror films.

Even though I haven't seen The Conjuring, I know perfectly well that the answer is yes. People have watched that flick and then, that very same evening, experienced weird stuff happening. As more and more people see that one, you can expect more and more reports of not just paranormal activity, but decidedly evil paranormal activity. And those people will not be kidding.

I also know why that is. After you watch a scary / shocking movie, sooner or later you'll have to be alone with the lights out. That's when horror filmmakers earn their money in fact, not when the film is playing. When someone just watched one of those flicks, their mind and nerves are still on edge. If it was a good movie, their mind and nerves are still absolutely frazzled. A good horror movie is one that gets under your skin and makes you say "I know it's not real, but what if" after you watch it.

When people's nerves are on high alert, they notice everything. Every normal sound seems threatening, every normal shadow seems to move, and the furnace or AC suddenly coming on will cause their heart to start racing. Especially when they're alone, and even more especially when they're alone in the dark.

Is that stuff really happening? Does watching a creepy movie somehow 'attract' nasty spirits or whatever? Of course not. Ghosts don't sit around waiting for you to be alone in the dark, and they sure don't wait until you just watched a scary movie. Think of it, why would a ghost care about that? But while ghosts don't wait until you're alone in the dark, your imagination certainly does. And if you just watched a scary movie, just guess what your imagination is thinking about.

My brother is interviewing at Yahoo! Should I feel sorry for him?

Your question sounds a bit condescending. I hope that is not really your intention and will try to be helpful with my answer.I worked at Yahoo! for 12 years, and I learned a lot during my time there. So I hope your brother would have a successful interview and find a challenging position there. Though Yahoo! definitely has its challenges, the company has quite a few intriguing opportunities (see Gil's answer) and offers good compensation and benefits. From 401K to medical insurance, Yahoo!'s benefits are comparable, if not superior, to benefits of other well-known companies. The reason you ask this question is most likely due to Yahoo!'s recent issues with senior leadership and Yahoo!'s struggle in growing its business and marketshare. Surprisingly Yahoo! might not be the only company with these problems. So if you feel sorry for your brother, you would have to advise him to avoid many other companies, e.g. Netflix, HP, Groupon, etc. This is where I believe that you might still not get it. While it is true that growing/thriving companies offer more good opportunities, there are also bad jobs/positions at these companies. At the same time, a struggling company might still offer very good job opportunities for anyone to learn and grow.So same as everywhere else, there are good teams/positions at Yahoo! (moving fast, talented people, interesting problems, fun team, etc.), and there are bad teams/positions (red tape, bureaucratic, bad managers, ...) You should advise your brother to watch out for signs of these during the interview before making his decision. For example, difficult interview questions and sound-smart interviewers are signs of a good team. You should hope that your brother will find a good team, pass the interview, and get a good offer. In this economy, you should not feel sorry for him getting an interview anywhere.

Does fox news rot your brain?

My kids watch cartoon disney...and they keep saying crazy stuff, too. I'm going to yank that channel away from them.

EDIT: No problem, questioner...don't have a sense of humor, huh? I suppose you think MSNBC, CNN and NPR are all objective reporting outlets that simply convey facts without picking a horse in the race....Keith Olberman, for example? Anderson Cooper?

Thought the folly in your question was obvious....guess not.
