Stressed Due To School Work. I Can

Is it okay to skip school if I’m stressed by the amount of work I have to finish? It’s only for a day.

Sure. Skip a day. I had an open-ended letter from my parents that let me take any time off school that I wanted. At my university, they did not even care if you came to the lectures. Everything was online so if you missed a lesson you could just watch the recording for last year. You should be almost an adult by now and can basically do what you want …but …Just because you can doesn’t mean that there won’t be consequences. You’ll have to catch up on any material you missed. You still have lots of work to do. Basically, you’ll probably end up with more rather than less stress. This is one of the reasons why I didn’t skip many classes at high school unless I really was sick. It was more effort than it was worth. I did skip a number of lectures at university but that was because it clashed with work and I could just catch up the material. What got you to this stage? Have you changed your actions? If you are still doing the same thing then a day off won’t make a difference.

How do I better manage my stress, work and school?

Less just start by keeping this fairly brief. I am a college student enrolled with four classes, twenty years old. And I'm working about thirty hours a week, sad part is 22-24 hours a week is from fri-sat. So I'm trying to manage school work, stress from work, studying, working out and trying to keep a social life. Yet, I feel like my life is dedicated just to work and school that's it. A lot of people say well at least you're making money, but at what extent does the money become almost worthless? Sure I make a decent amount but I'm stressing because I don't get to hang out with people much losing friends because of it and only got a good handful of friends. And I'm lucky if I actually get a chance to get out twice a week. My weekend hours usually go late never home before 10, and then i worry about studying. I can't relate to any of my family memebers because they never had to do this. And my oldest brother that graduated got really nice hours at work and was done by 2 with plenty of time to do everything.

What is the best way to manage this all together I'm getting stressed and I can't control it.

Thank you for your time reading this and hopefully commenting with some help.

Stressed out over school work?

I'm going crazy! I missed several days this week because I was really sick and now I have so much make-up work I don't know where to start. I missed two big tests and have tests tomorrow. I have a book report due Monday and haven't even finished the book yet because I didn't think I'd get sick and forgot to bring my book home. I missed the story we read in Literature class and the lab we did in Biology. I'm still going to be behind though because while I'm doing all that, the rest of the class will still be moving on. What should I do?!

How can I stop stressing out about school work?

Well, it’s hard to say without knowing more about you. But do you think that you could possibly be over scheduled? Sometimes when we have too much on our plate, everything in our life seems overwhelming. So, it may be time to cut some things out.Or maybe it would be helpful to start planning your day out a bit more. For instance, get a planner or use an App on your phone. Then, schedule out what you want to get done for the day and make sure you have time to complete it. Sometimes when we know we have it all planned already, we’re less likely to stress about getting things done.Lastly, if you feel like this anxiety is taking over your life, don’t hesitate to talk with your parents, school counselor, teacher, etc. Perhaps there’s some other issues in your life that need to be addressed that are causing this underlying stress. And a trusted adult should be able to direct you to the help you need.Hope this helps!

PLEASE HELP! STRESSED AT SCHOOL!!!!?

Stressed about School?!!!!!!!!?
Well I have had 2 weeks holiday and i had that time to complete these 5 assignments. I meant to get them started in the 2nd week but I had no energy and could not be bothered. Now i have 4 days to complete them! I'm starting to majorly stress out! I dont think i will graduate! I guess it is all my fault that i'm stressing out, i created this problem. THis morning when I woke up i felt like i wanted to hurt myself in order to get out of the assessments. I know this is wrong but i feel so down!
If i stay up all night I will definitely get even more stressed. I am not going to school today so i can work on an assessment (which is a group project) because i feel bad for the other 2 people in the group but i can't concentrate and i cannot be bothered! I have even let Y!A distract me!
PLEASE HELP! DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS? I JUST WANNA CRAWL UP INTO A HOLE AND DIE! Is there any ways i can get an extension! Its a little hard because i cant get my dad to write a note! He'll look down on my wagging and procrastinating. (he's an MD).

Is it normal if I skip school because of stress?

Some call it taking a “mental health day”. It is not unusual. If you are seeing a series of days where you are exhausted, can’t sleep, feel anxious, can barely focus, are easily set off emotionally, keep getting sick, and feel disconnected then perhaps a mental day is a good way to “reset”.Sometimes taking one day off to just sleep, rest, eat some nutrient rich foods, get connected with family and community, and regain some energy. If it helps, then it’s worth it.But if you see that you consistently need a mental health day, then perhaps you are facing a more significant problem. Perhaps its time to talk with your parents, siblings, friends and discuss how you are feeling openly and seek out options. It may end up that you need some talk therapy with a professional therapist to get a feel for what is going on. Or it maybe that you just are not getting enough sleep or enough exercise.Remember that taking too many days can add to the stress as you can get behind your school work. So send out emails to your teachers, connect with fellow students and make sure you are fully aware of the homework that is due and stay on top of it. But, as long as you are planning it properly, talking with your parents about it, and it is not something you do too frequently, then it is all right to take a day off to recharge.

I feel extremely stressed out due to the heavy workload of school and coaching. How can I relieve it?

Race with the school syllabus and the coaching classes syllabus is expected in class 11 and 12. And trust me, if you feel this pressure, you are on the RIGHT track. Keep racing against it. Don't rest or give up. The person who keeps trying, whether he succeeds or not is the ultimate winner. Many students will sometime be lazy in this race. You don't be. Keep struggling. You will realise after two years that you did the right thing by not giving up.As for your passion, coding, yeah you will get time for it too. If it's in your school syllabus, then studying that much would be sufficient. Or in summer(or winter or Diwali or Durga puja holidays(voila! Our country has so many holidays!)) you can always find some time to code. The most important thing for these two years will be not to lose your enthusiasm about individual subjects. All the best!

I have soo much homework that i'm crying and so stressed out?

Well I am in independent study so I get work every Tuesday that I have to work on throughout the week and bring it back on Tuesday again and so on, my stupid self left ALL of my work for LAST minute and it's almost 6:00 PM and I still have piles of homework that I have to do, all due tomorrow at 10:00 A.M. I honestly don't know what to do. I highly doubt that i'm going to be able to finish, btw I am in 8th grade (15 years old) All this work in such a short time is just too much for me to handle! :( This is my homework:
FIVE chapters in my health textbook, including 3 or 4 section reviews in each chapter (9 or 10 questions each) and all the chapter reviews at the end of the chapters (30 or 35 questions)
And then I have to do 2 activities about the book The Catcher in The Rye, those are kind of easy though
and then 2 chapters in my physical fitness textbook, which is pretty easy too considering they are just circle answers and only like 1 real question, and only one on each chapter.
The thing that i'm sooooooo stressed about and crying about is my health homework!! It is just TOO MUCH!! But the thing is that i'm SO behind on health and that's why I have to do so many chapters because I was hospitalized for like 3 weeks and missed so much work so now I have to do all of this! Usually just two chapters and thats it but now its 5 chapters! and I only have 2 weeks left of school and still need to finish TEN chapters to complete the course! :( So I have to do 5 each week. I am crying so much I have only finished 1 and a half and it's already almost 6 PM. Please help what do I do my hands are tired and everything already :(

How do I stop stressing about school?

Wow, sounds familiar.
My Junior year of college got a little stressful too.
I think there were several things that got me through it:
I studied my @$$ off... until I was absolutely sure I knew the material as well as I could. That helped me relax (somewhat) since I knew I was as prepared as I was going to get.
I started calling my parents more often. Having someone to talk to (read: unload on) really helped with all the pent up anxiety.
I made time to go out and have an adult beverage with my friends. Just getting away from it (even if it was just for an hour) helped alot as well.

Good luck!
