Stupid Question What Music Would You Recommend

I like to listen rap music. Does that mean I am stupid?

The answer is a resounding NO! If the question is :”Is that a stupid question to ask?”-YES, if I have to say this on your face. However I guess its okay since this is Quora and you can query on just about anything under the sun!Take a look at the genre on its own-rap. Its not something you make up with melodious tunes and peppy beats unlike pop and the such. It’s come up from a community where people express their minds and experiences in life. To be able to firstly write rap music, you need a sound catch of the language you are writing your song in, a good sense of rhyme schemes and metaphors to add, top notch skills with alliterations and I could go on with the technicalities…Li’l Wayne and P.Diddy are just two famous rappers that have made it big in the industry as well as have individual college degrees. They could have very well pursued their fields and have lived a normal life. They were not stupid. They listened to rap. They became rappers. They brought out more life into this genre. They make people go crazy! Oh boy were they stupid to listen and sing rap music! So….Listening to rap music does not deem one stupid!! In fact its one of the more harder genres to write and implement. If you listen to a Pure Rap Rhyme(not the fitted in ones e.g Pussycat Dolls feat.Snoop Dogg-no!) you can see how much flow there is in the lyrics. Listen to it,try to catch the words and how beautiful each one syncs onto the next line.Try different artistes. Check out their styles. For instance Eminem maintains an original style and focus on his rhymes in every song. Macklemore’s Thrift Shop is on the other hand on another drift altogether!Learn and Start writing your own rap or do rhymes with your friends’ circle!Simple Answer: You’re stupid if you don’t erase this query from your head right now!Happy Rapping and Living it to the fullest!

Does listening to rap music make me stupid?

(I know this is a stupid question but i'm tired and bored as hell.) So I listen to a lot of Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler The Creator, Death Grips, and Chance the Rapper and I was just wondering if this in anyway decreased brain cell count. I don't just listen to it because my friends do I genuinely like the sound of it.

This is gonna seem like a stupid question, but how do you pronounce "Les Paul" as in a Gibson Les Paul guitar?

That's easy, because I own one. It is pronounced "Less" and Paul, just the name Paul. He's a real person, you can Google the name and get a lot of info. I highly recommend the guitar, it's all I really play. Real Les Pauls can be pricey and there are plenty of lower end versions that play well. What I love is the low fretboard action, the warm Humbucker pickups and that big thick Les Paul trademark sound. Have fun!

Why do you prefer answering, asking ppls, stupid questions when you could have fun with your friends, mate etc ?

Some of us enjoy research and helping others! It doesn't mean we don't have a real life beyond the computer, but just that it is "fun" for us to be doing this!

How could Quora partners make their questions about art and music less silly?

What's so silly about wanting to know what the first movie is that you think of when you hear the word “aardvark,” or “about,” or “accolade,” or “asked,” or… you're right, they're silly! Maybe a better word is pointless.Quora partners could make their questions about any subject better by doing the following:Reviewing the list of valuable questions that Quora provides. Partners are able to see a list of some of the most valuable questions and how much they've earned. Reviewing the type of question that is valuable and what people are interested in could help determine how to form a better question. They could take time to come up with more valuable questions. There seem to be two competing ideologies on Quora these days. There are still those who value quality but there are a growing number of people who value quantity regardless of quality. Thing is, Quora pays more for higher quality questions. Ask about things that people will really care about.Stop asking MadLib questions. “What song do you listen to when you ____?” then submitting a separate question for each verb in the dictionary. People get annoyed when they see the same question pop up over and over with a different word inserted.

This is probably a really stupid question, but how do you pronounce Paramore?

para- like how you would say the name sara

and

more- like give me more lol

Do you agree with Frank Zappa that stupidity is more common than hydrogen in the universe and that it has a longer shelf life?

Thanks for the A2A…I tend to share Zappa’s cynical viewpoint about the state of stupidity in the universe (at least the very tiny part of the universe that we have to live with). The definition of "stupid" is to show "a great lack of intelligence or common sense." For whatever reason it seems that we are confronted with more and more problems that are caused by people acting in ways that defy common sense and certainly lack intelligent explanation. A great example of this stupidity is demonstrated when you consider the type of people we keep electing to "public service." Corruption, greed, avarice, selfishness - these seem to be the GOOD points of our elected officials. And yet we keep voting for the incumbents, despite the knowledge that it's insane to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting things to change. Kinda stupid, if you ask me.Zappa was wise enough to understand that people, when taken individually, can be quite reasonable and easy to understand/deal with. Put them in crowds and something changes. People in groups tend to be stupid. And they seem to stay that way unless they get worse.(But that's a Bruce Cockburn song - "The trouble with normal is that it always gets worse.")
