Suggestion On A Good Budget E-reader

What is the best tablet for reading eBooks?

Since you specifically do not want suggestions for e-readers (which are the best devices to read e-books), you can use any generic electronic tablet, install an e-reader app on it (Kindle for Android/iOS, Aldiko eReader etc.) and you'll be set. Though, reading on a tablet for more than 30 minutes in one sitting is not a pleasant experience, mind you.

What's the best eBook reader device right now?

I recommendKobo Arc 10 HDThe Kobo Arc 10HD does pretty well in the hardware department. It comes with a Nvidia Tegra 4 quad-core, 1.8 GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 16 GB storage (12.9GB available to the user) and an impressive 10.1-inch 2560 x 1600 (300 ppi) display. The Kobo Arc 10HD also comes with two rear-facing stereo speakers that produce reasonable audio for a tablet.Software:The Kobo software itself comes in two main parts and is pretty intuitive to use. The first part you will see when you turn the tablet on and this is the Kobo dashboard, that display all of the Kobo books and magazine you own as well as suggesting some titles that it’s algorithms think you would enjoy. The second part comes in the form of the Kobo app store – which can be accessed via the home screen – and is a fairly unremarkable experience. From the Kobo store you can buy pretty much any mainstream book or magazine you can imagine, boasting over 3.5 millions titles for its readers. For the serious bookworms out there, there is also a handy Reading Mode button, accessible via the pull down mini-setting menu that turns off all of your tablets alerts so you can immerse yourself into a book with no distractions. The eReader app itself is impressive – all the normal eReader app things can be done, such as adjusting the brightness, background colour and font size, but there Kobo has also built in Wikipedia to its pages. What this means is certain words/phrases in popular books have links attached to them, and by clicking them a Wikipedia pop-in appears on page, giving you further information about the subject without leaving the eBook.Source: Best E-Readers

What is the best e-reader (or tablet-like device) for reading PDFs heavy on math/physics?

I use a Kindle DX (the big one that's the size of an actual math text), and it works great for me.  When I looked at other readers, they generally had poor or nonexistent PDF support. One thing that is annoying is that if you leave it on the same page for ten minutes, it switches to a "screensaver" and turns itself off, rather than just leaving that page on the screen for you to read.EDIT: Unlike the other suggestions here, the Kindle has an e-Ink screen rather than an LCD.  As a consequence, the screen can only refresh about once a second, so obviously it won't do many of the sorts of things described here.  That said, I think having an e-Ink screen is definitely worth it for large amounts of reading.  For that matter, and I'm sure I'll be pilloried for this, I don't understand why things like the iPad, which is essentially an expensive,  crippled laptop, exist -- why not just buy a laptop?

What are the cheap yet trustworthy eBook readers available in India?

In India, the cheap yet trustworthy eBook reader is available from Amazon. The Kindle Basic touch without back-lit screen (currently Kindle 8th generation) and also the most famous one, Kindle Paperwhite. The Basic one performs same functions as Paperwhite, the only limitation is its resolution and back-lit screen. But from my personal experience, I haven’t faced any problem in reading a book because of low resolution unless you are reading a manga which needs a lot of zooming. There are other cheap options for e-readers such as Nook Simple touch. But everyone knows that Kindles are better in what they are meant to do and also, the eBook store of Amazon is largest in comparison to other eBook providing companies. Moreover, Amazon also provides various offers and unlimited reading services through subscription.Nook Simple touch is cheaper than Kindle Basic (I think) but regarding trustworthy e-reader, if you take care of your electronic devices and handle them properly, I think they would last long enough. Overall Kindles are always a better option over other e-readers. But if you want to go for other e-readers such as Nook (provided by Barnes and Noble company) and Kobo (another good e-reader), I think you might have to get them from Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more or their official online retail services, if they provide it. The Nook and Kobo e-readers are not easily available in India and Amazon India only provides Kindle products. You can find these on ebay India but IMO ebay India is never a good choice. I have had some bad experiences with them.Regarding service centers, There is no service center for Kindle in India. Also, no service center for nook or kobo. So, you can trust kindle for just one year as long as it is in warranty. After that, I don’t know :) But there is rarely any problem in e-readers because they are not very-complex devices as smartphones or tablets. If you want to get an e-reader besides Kindle from International online services, you will have to pay good amount of international shipping and customs also (if applicable). Rest, the choice is yours. You can read reviews of Kindle, Nook and Kobo and compare their prices online and see what takes your fancy.Happy Reading :)You can also read my answer here about Kindle:Chandrapaul's answer to Why should I buy a Kindle when there are no service centers here in India?

What is the best phone for my requirements? (Please read details)

Avid Reader - No smartphone will be suitable for you. Because all the LCDs and OLEDs will strain your eyes (besides installing night mode, eye protector apps etc.). You can opt for an eBook reader [Amazon has it, starting from 4000₹]Well every smartphone has got SoC, which means it'll have GPU. So even if you don't play games, you're compelled to pay a price for GPU tooI appreciate your move, this widens your choice - 4GBMost of the newly announced Chinese Manufacturers like Lenovo, Huawei, Xiaomi have good call quality and poor loud speaker performanceSince you don't care about the camera, you can see Asus, Moto G, E, Micromax UniteFor a mobile of 5" screen 2500mah is a minimum requirement for a complete dayNowadays even 1 GB is not sufficient for efficiently switching beteen apps. eg:- If you click a link in FB and move to chrome, browse their, surf one or two pages. When you come back your FB feed will reload, so I guess you'll need 2GB RAMSince many mobiles are available, I'll just give a suggestion that look for mobiles with following specsat least 2GB RAM2500mah batteryLCD with lowest backlight brightness (nits or cd/sq.m). This you can find in GSM arena specifications/review. This is a must see for your requirements

Where can i read Donald Goines books online free?

I am afraid you are out of luck. Authors want to be paid for their work, and Donald Goine's estate is no exception. (Only in very rare cases does an author offer an entire copyrighted work on the net for free). There is no legal way to read his books for free. If you find something on the web, it will either be someone's fabrication, or it will be pirated, which could land you in trouble if you use it.

I'd either buy (try used book stores if buying new is too rich for you) or borrow at a library. Lots of books can be gotten through Inter-library loan. Lots of libraries have e book readers of one type or another and may have your book on it. That is another thing to check out (it would not be on your computer, though).

Good cheap high quality camera?

Well, I am not sure what is cheap to you. Since cameras today range from 50$ to 25000$. I own a cheap Olympus E-PL1, I bought for 350 euros (around 400$ may be), and it's a good camera. You can get really professional looking results, after learning a few tricks and tips of photography. You can also shoot HD videos with Olympus E-PL1.
Here is a picture I shot with my Olympus http://www.flickr.com/photos/67791287@N0...
I can easily say that no camera in this price range can produce this standard of image quality and have this many features.

On the negative side, even though this camera is much smaller than professional cameras, but is still bulkier than point and shoot compacts.
If you really need a smaller camera, and are willing to compromise on the image quality a bit. I would suggest taking a look at Canon s95 or Lumix LX5, they cost around 330-360 euros.
