My parents wont let me do online surveys.?

on Y!A, i typed in a question about paid online surveys. & this is it
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AibHXh3XTOvUqMCwAbWLiuTsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080916194542AAIkf7L
and i asked my parents about it, and they started screaming at me, and they said nobody just gives away free money, its a scam, its just gunna give your computer viruses. . so i told them about how i got info about the real sites from Y!A, and they are still being stupid about it.

How do i show them that some sites are actually real. and have them let me do them
cause i never have any money and i am always sitting home looking for things to do. & i love doing surveys.

Parent opinion survey...? about child care programs?

1. what are the benefits of having your child in a child care program?
Having my child in childcare allows me to collect a salary that pays for health insurance for my family, and a roof over our heads.

2.What problems are associated with placing your child in the program?
None if you find the right program. Countless if you find the wrong one.

3. do you use a child care program out of a necessity or is it a matter of choice?
At the moment it's out of necessity but soon with the birth of our second child, it won't make financial sense to continue working, so I'll become a stay at home mom...and probably end up offering child care for other working moms.

4. do you think quality child care programs are hard to find? why or why not?
Absolutely - and it's because any idiot can get a license to do it. You have to find someone that actually cares about the kids and cares about the job and isn't just collecting a paycheck while the kids sit in front of the tv all day.

5. what are the two most important qualities in a child care program to you?
#1 An intelligent caring safety conscious care giver that actually pays attention to the children #2 a preschool curriculum

6. what effects do you think the widespread use of child care programs has, or will have, on society?
I don't think that childcare programs themselves have an effect per say on society....I think Society has affected women and the need for child care programs. I think it's a pity that we live in a society where it's almost impossible to even exercise your right as a parent to stay home without having to be on welfare.

Survey on Parenting (school project)?

Please answer with as much detail as possible, and tell your relation to the question (ex; mother, daughter):

Why is it that children of older parents (more than 40 years old) are better adjusted, have closer ties with their parents, and are more socially skilled when they enter school than children of younger parents (less than 40 years old)?

Why would a job application ask about food stamps?

It all boils down to money, plain and simple. If businesses want a tax break, they are encouraged to hire people who receive government benefits, child support, and felons, regardless of if they aren't capable of doing the job. Employers will pass up a potential employee with a good employment record that answers no to all of the WOTC questions for one that answers yes to the questions with no skills and a horrible employment record, just to get the tax break. Unless you're a military veteran or disabled in some way, don't expect to get a job if you answer no to the government assistance, child support, felon questions. If you see this questionnaire at the end of an application and your answers are all no, just exit out and keep looking. You will not get the job, unless the company is not aware of the WOTC or they're just in desperate need of someone. It's just the way it is now. If you cannot answer yes to any of the WOTC questions, go back to school and get a skilled trade that not anyone can do. You will not find any employer that employs skilled workers asking these questions. Its just a fact.

Would you be interested in a parental control app/service?

I don't have any children, so I'm not sure how useful my answer would be.I think there would definitely be a market for such an app but I would discourage parents from actually using something like that. Better to tell the kids straight up that while you respect their privacy, if something happens you will read anything they do on the device(s) you give them.As a general rule of thumb: advertising for such services works best if the problem is described in 1 to 3 sentences maximum. The rest of the advert should be focused on all the shiny 'new' ways it will solve the problem. People want to feel good, not more anxious than they already are. Parents are already coming up with way scarier scenarios than anything you can describe in a PG-rated space!

Do you use parental control apps to limit screen time?

i did not use parental controls. Our children were far more advanced using computers. As parents, we had no clue what was afoot. Rather, our relationship would have some influence that helped to keep our children somewhat safe and within bounds. i also feel this was true of others in the advancement of computers and internet. It is always going to take more than ability to set parental controls.

SURVEY: For people who have been raised by older parents (over 40 years old)..?

So this is an online survey I am doing for a project for my school.

Apparently- according to psychology- Children of older parents (more than 40 years old) are better adjusted, have closer ties with their parents, and are more socially skilled when they enter school than children of younger parents (less than 40 years old).

It seems that children of older parents are better adjusted due to the stable financial background of the parents, a balanced approach to giving advice, and patience. Children of older parents also tend to have closer ties to their parents because their parents are more mature, experienced, and emotionally stable. They are also more socially skilled because their parents make more connections with people as they get older. And most of their friends also have children for the child to socialize with, unlike friends of younger parents.

Please answer these questions in this order, please.
(And those who just want to leave an opinion on this subject please state it as an opinion or observation)
1. Do you personally think that being raised by an older parent resulted in:

You being better adjusted? Why or why not?

Having closer ties with your parents? Why or Why not?

Being more socially skilled? Why or why not?

It will mean a lot to me if you take this survey. Thanks a lot. I am looking forward to your answers.
