Switching To Gmail - Yahoo Email Is Messed Up And No Way To Contact Them

I messed up my e-mail. and cannot access my email don’t have a recovery one and it isn’t taking a recovery phone no. on my cell or land line. I have had this account for ever and can’t be sent a code, because no way to access it. Please help. Tammy

Depends. When I supported email, there were two tests that we would typically do:1) send an email FROM your yahoo account TO your yahoo account.2) Send an email from another provider (google, mail, whatever) TO your yahoo account. There's a few things that can happen:1) the email is being filtered into a subfolder and you aren't aware.2) the email you are sending FROM is in your "block addresses" list3) the email is getting lost in transit somewhere4) the address you send from gets a bouncebackIf you get a bounceback message, it contains critical info as to why it's being bounced. If there's no bounceback, it's difficult to say.

Hi..You can easily do the same by using Google Apps Migration Tool or using Outlook. You can read the step by step by guide through this article: How to Migrate Exchange Server Emails to Gmail Account

Any one going to drop yahoo email?

I'm having a TERRIBLE time with this new and "improved" Yahoo mail. EVERYTHING about it is screwed up. No tabs! The "Send" button is all the way down at the bottom (who the hell looks there?) and gets buried in the dashboard icons of my MacBook. I can't underline anymore. The font size doesn't give you anything but minimal choices - you can't adjust size. You can't adjust the color of the text anymore.
Then: If you get an email and reply, and then the person replies back, and you get a thread started, you get the whole damn thread in these thumbnails and they don't appear to be in order and it's impossible to find the reply to which you're trying to respond. There's no way to know which "Reply" command applies to which email on the thread. You have no idea which reply you're posting to. I've already lost business and wasted some money because I couldn't find a response our tour manager sent me about a move he didn't want to recommend, and I never saw it so I went ahead and okay'ed it. Now we're stuck. How much more is this going to cost me? How many more emails am I going to miss? There's no way to change the wording in the subject line anymore. There's no way to edit out extraneous crap in a long thread of email responses. It spits you out of that particular email entirely and you won't know where you are for a moment.
I could go on. But I'm just SO PISSED OFF!!! This simply and categorically SUCKS!!! And I don't even want to think about the hassle and expense and loss of time and productivity if I'm forced to change over to another email account. My yahoo.com email is on everything from business cards to press kits to umpteen different websites and accounts. HUGE pain in the ***!!!! And VERY bad for my business! Is anybody at Yahoo even listening? Or do they care?
You're 1,000,000% correct. The new email is HORRID. They can't change it back fast enough!!!!!! Heck, are they even willing to consider doing such?
GRRRRRR!!!!!

Why is someone else's picture showing up for my email address when I compose an email? My profile is private with no picture.?

I _have_ a Yahoo profile photo. But the auto-assigned photo that shows up with my email address (when typing in the "To" field) is not this photo! What's worse, I don't recognize the person in this photo. I have a Facebook account, but it is not linked to my Yahoo account and I don't want to do so. But the main point is, I already have a Yahoo profile photo-- why is your system not using that one?

This is annoying-- also distressing, since there's no clear way to fix it and no way to turn it off. Looks like many other people have this problem-- seems like you put a beta version into general use without enough testing. Since the photo auto-assign will probably never be perfect (given the wide number of sources you appear to be harvesting pics from)-- and it's messed up to impose this on users without giving folks a way to turn it off. Makes me think again about switching to Gmail.

No rich text formatting available and mail is a mess!?

It's a complete "Gong Show" they wiped out my contact lists as well and I have lost all my options. Great way to promote gmail and msn. They have also completely screwed up Yahoo Finance (used to be the best service and format).

You can achieve it in two ways,  either block the sender if you do not want to receive any emails from him or if he is spamming you report it as spam.A. Block a senderEmails from senders you block will be sent to your spam folder.ComputerOpen the email. At the top right of the email, click the down arrow.Click Block [sender].If you blocked someone by mistake, you can unblock them using the same steps.B. The email is spam  Gmail tries to keep spam out of your inbox, but sometimes messages get through. If you see a spam message in your inbox:Computer  Open Gmail.Select the message you'd like to report. In the toolbar above your emails, click the spam button . If you have the message open, you can also report it as spam by using the same button.Remember, every time you report spam or phishing, it helps us identify those emails as spam for you in the future.http://www.netgainstechnologies....Rishikesh Somshetti
