Ted Cruz says the Republicans should do what they said they would do regarding President Obama's executive action on immigration. What did they say they would do? What will happen if they don't do it?

I believe Tea Party politians gave in to personal pride by accepting too much personal credit from their criticis who labeled them as 'extremists'. A politician is simply an employee of the people, hired for the purpose of representing the best interests of and for the people. Despite this, the Tea Party squandered every opportunity I'm aware of in giving their constituents credit for their hard-lined stance on reducing government spending. The fact is, they were HIRED on the basis of their willingness to take a hard line! They weren't being hardliners themselves as much as they were simply holding true to there campaign promises to take a hard line. In other words, the people's wishes and expectations were very well represented by the politicians we hired to keep their word.If politicians keep their word to the people and govern according to their campaign promises, the politician is automatically free and justified of any criticisms directed their way.

Did Ted Cruz or his staff tell voters that Donald Trump was not running in South Carolina? If not why did Trump claim this?

Good question.  The Washington Post recently reported on this - that robocalls were going to South Carolina voters from Remington Research, a company the Post says was started by Cruz' campaign manager, Jeff Roe. The calls, the Post reports, give angry answers if the person called indicates choosing anyone other than Cruz for president. One caller notified the Marco Rubio campaign, which, according to the Post, investigated and determined it was Remington Research behind the calls. So, when Trump brought it up in the South Carolina debate, he was merely pointing out what the Rubio people and the Washington Post had already reported:  1) it was not false information and 2) Trump was not the one who initiated the accusation. For more on this and other key issues in the 2016 election, please consider reading my book GRUMPY OLD PARTY, and tell all your friends, too.  Here's the link:http://www.amazon.com/GRUMPY-OLD...

What does it say about Senator Ted Cruz as a man that after Trump insulted his wife he has now become a Trump sycophant?

I believe it speaks to his ambition. There was a huge outcry at the Republican Party Convention when Ted Cruz (R-TX) refused to ask his supporters to vote for Trump (but rather, asked them to “vote your conscience”).[1] I gained some respect for him at that time when he did that. Some weeks later, Cruz changed his mind and actually supported Trump.[2] I believe that this is largely a political move by Cruz. My view is that he probably believed that there needed to be a Republican in the White House, and that he needed to support the Republican candidate to do that, as well as to preserve his support at home.Interestingly enough, Ted Cruz does not make the news any more, but rather Republicans like Devin Nunes (R-CA) or Lindsay Graham (R-SC) or Mitch McConnell (R-TN), or even moderates like Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).I suspect that Ted Cruz is now a quiet reluctant Trump supporter, trying to avoid the limelight as much as possible—though that is purely conjecture on my part. Even in the “Tea Party” wing of the Republican Party, Freedom Caucus head Mark Meadows (R-NC) seems to have more news footage than Cruz does. Most coverage today of Ted Cruz seems to be about how he is in a serious competition against the Democrat (and one-time punk rocker!) Beto O’Rourke (although current polls show Cruz ahead of O’Rourke by 9 points).[3] [4]So his choice to turn around and support Trump—and to continue to do so—seems to have been a political plus for him, no matter what our beliefs or his are.Footnotes[1] Cruz stands by refusal to endorse Trump[2] Ted Cruz endorses Donald Trump[3] Midterm Election Poll: Texas Senate, Cruz vs. O’Rourke[4] Texas U.S. Senate Polls

In what ways is Ted Cruz worse than the other Republican candidates?

I'm neither a Trump nor Cruz supporter.Basically, he appears to be Trump but with some other additional downsides (or upsides if you support these things, but I don't know who would...).He also wants to build "a wall". This may or may not be a plausible idea, but Trump says the exact same thing. He doesn't want amnesty for those already here, which is pretty extreme, and pretty much equivalent to Trump's forced deportation.Trump is pro-life, but does not feel like he should force anyone to agree with him.Cruz is somewhat more extreme. He thinks that he can force all churches to not fund abortions, etc etc.Trump justifies gun control with self-defense, Cruz justifies it with a religious belief in the second amendment. I would say that Trump is the more rational one here.Trump is probably worse for foreign policy, with his personality.Trump is much more specific about his tax policies. He knows what he is going to do, while Cruz is going to simply dismantle the IRS and hopes everything goes fine. Trump understands why tax law is so long, while Cruz doesn't seem to get it.They agree on Obamacare stuff. Cruz is a bit more eloquent about it, but it's essentially the same.Cruz thinks that his tax idea is enough to fix the economy (somehow?). Again, Trump actually has a plan here, to prevent outsourcing of jobs, although he isn't too specific about that either.Cruz is a rigid constitutionalist, Trump is very practical about civil liberties, but kind of ignores the constitution. Whichever one you like more is your own opinion \o/.Crime... they both don't say anything useful about it.They're both climate change denialists. Cruz is a bit more specific about what EPA regulations he doesn't like. They have the same policies on education and I would agree with both.Trump think torture is okay (I would agree). Otherwise, Trump and Cruz agree on national security issues.Veterans rights... same again.Trump seems to favor nuclear energy (yay). Otherwise, they both seem to agree on the issue of energy security and independence.Basically Cruz and Trump are about the same, with Trump actually having a plan about economic policy, and Cruz not having a real plan.

Will Ted Cruz be the next President after all he says he will?

Well, Ted Cruz is next in line to be embraced by the Republican establishment in their "Beat Trump" campaign, even as they must "hold their noses" in doing so.
But, as we look at the other two candidates whom were embraced by the Republican establishment, Bush and Rubio, such an embracement appears more like a "kiss of death".

What does Ted Cruz's face say about him?

I second the motion. I find him creepy and that he has a mask and seems fake.  Also he gives Christianity a bad name. When did it get to be okay to ignore separation of church and state?  I am intuitive about people and trust my instincts. Most times it turns out to be true. I also have the feeling that he just wants raw power. I never thought I would say this:  Cruz concerns me more than Trump. Trump is a buffoon but I feel he would as a businessman, know how to put good people around him.  (Maybe a very naïve view. Lol) Cruz, on the other hand, just plain seems dangerous. I am moving back to England (married to an English guy) if either Cruz or Trump becomes president. It comforts me to think that!  Lol. I am 68 years old, and politics has become unrecognizable to me. My husband has viewed it as an outsider, and he has been appalled. He has American citizenship now, and is getting into the USA politics, his second time to experience the election process. I totally missed Obama's first campaign as I lived in England then. They do not cover every little detail of the USA (yes, there is another world besides the USA out there).   Usually a couple of lines now and then, at least on TV. Print journalism maybe more in depth. But I digress. Bottom line on Cruz affect:  Creepy, mask, untrustworthy.

Why do people say Ted Cruz has a “punchsble face”?

I can only explain it this way. Chuck Schumer & Adam Schiff. Never, and never is a long time, have I seen faces more punchable, then these nasty parasites Schumer and Schiff. Schumer’s flatulent mind, so absent essentials, so little synapse firing, a thoroughly vacuous mind attached to a mouth that just runs like vomit and leaves the rash of diarrhea, on it’s lips. Their faces says “pummel me or I will keep talking …”

What lies has Ted Cruz told?

You MUST be joking..............Politi-fact had to create a Whole new section JUSTTTTT for Ted Cruz's "Pants on Fire" comments *alone*

He has the worst rating with nearly 70% of the crap that falls out of his mouth......being labeled "Pants on Fire" or "Mostly False".

There is a great video of Carly Fiorina giving her OPINION of Cruz......(back when she was still in the race) and she totally TRASHES him as a two faced liar.

He helped Sarah Palin push the Whole Birther agenda........spreading all that Muslim Kenyan crapola.

Perhaps John Boehner explains it best.............here are his own words......

“I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a b*tch in my life,” Boehner added. He said he would not vote for Cruz in a general election, though he would vote for his fellow tangerine-tinted Republican Donald Trump.

It’s not news that Boehner doesn’t like Cruz, whom he has previously called a “jackass” and a “false prophet,” nor is the source of their bad blood a mystery: Cruz helped rally revolts against leadership, particularly in the House, that led to the 2013 government shutdown, and his attempts at undermining Boehner made the speaker’s life impossible, eventually driving him to retire.

Ted Cruz is hated virtually by everyone that's ever been near him or had to work with him.

New York Rep. Peter King (R) said he would take a cynanide pill and KILL himself, if Cruz was the Nominee.

wow..........this is coming from his OWN party........being called Lucifer in the Flesh!

that's some pretty damn strong hatred!

Plus...........You tube is chock a block with videoes of this putz getting totally OWNED, and most are by FOX anchors........who try to ask him legit questions about his own incredible flip flopping and lying....

and Cruz just sits there, and insults the hosts for sloppy journalism or "targeting" him.......when they have their facts *EXACTLY* right.

He's just a total sleazebag, who believes all his own lies and won't tolerate anyone that contradicts his lies.
