Why should we study hard?

You should not.Sit there and do not study. Do nothing.Or, realize it is your life. Today, Tomorrow, Next Week, Next Month, Next Year. It is your life. You have to decide what would you do. You have to pick choices on how to lead your life. The reason we study is to lead a better life. I guess that is the ultimate purpose of everyone. It prepares us to face life. You may become an author, a technician or run a firm.Life comes in all shapes and sizes. But one thing is common among them is survival. Survival in this society.Maybe that “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” does not help me to survive.Maybe what I learned about“World War -I & II” has no use in my current domain. And, those Chemistry and Biology classes have nothing to do in my current life. But, they all educated me.Second, I learned action speaks louder than knowledge. Many people can enlighten you with their expert comments on, “Why did India lose the match?”, “What should be our fiscal policy?” but not necessarily have the skills to execute them. So, studying allows you to understand and realize skills are significant. You may grab all the theoretical knowledge but execution is the key to the result.Third, studying may not bring the life you want. I hope it does. But, even if it does not. It actually builds your character. When you study hard, it cultivating determination, dedication, undivided attention, and patience. And, they are much-needed traits for survival regardless of what you studied in your physics class.Studying every day will benefit you for the rest of your life.So study and have strong chances of survival.

Can someone motivate me to study? Can someone tell me great and effective ways of studying rather than being there in my thoughts?

Thanks for A2A.First of, live in the present moment. Past is gone, future is yet to come and is fully dependent on your present! Only you can decide the present. If disturbing thoughts are arising in your mind, take a 5min nap and let those thoughts come. Don't judge those thoughts, it will come and go away.Don't think about "avoiding" it, when you do so it will stay in the conscious mind.Keep all unwanted stuff aside--only the books you need should be around you,the more unnecessary things there are, your mind will be distracted by those things to think about, leaving you trapped in thoughts and with no room for grasping new concepts.Develop an interest in the topic you're studying. If you think you're "studying", you tend to either do it as a burden (by mugging up) or pressurize yourself to complete it within the time span. Love your studies, then studies will love you back !Think of it as a hobby. Like you enjoy spending time in your hobbies without having to see how much time you have spent into it, likewise studies would allow you to gain some knowledge that will provide you with some meaningful information. Make a schedule (time table), which would eventually help you in tracking your completion everyday.Take short breaks: Do not indulge yourself to study continuously, take 5-10 minute break in every 2 hours or so.Nap time: Have a cup of tea or get a quick nap of 5-10 minutes, it will fit in the concepts you've studied in the meantime will also make you ready for the new concepts you'd be studying later.Don't count hours. No matter how many hours you study, at the end what matters is how much you've understood and grasped from it.Look, the amount of time you've been studying is of no significance if the method is not proper. Try to improve your METHOD of studying and not hours. Before going to sleep at night, revise everything that you have studied on that day.Method:Keep two books with you, one rough and one for exam. Make your own notes, initially on your rough book.As you study one concept (if its a difficult one to remember later on), try to relate it with something you do in your lifestyle, draw a diagram(flowchart)/graph and note it down in your book.Make these notes topic wise and once you're done covering all the topics, at that time refer to your own notes to precisely read and neatly present it again on another book that you'd be reading during exam time. All the very best, Study well ! :)

What is the best way to study for the PCAT exam?

I really don't know because, if you don't have any books to study from then it is going to be hard. I know because I went to school for pharmacy to become a pharmacy technician. I had took the PTCB exam I did not pass (this was my first time taking it and I did not have any idea what was going to be on it) I needed a 650 to pass my over all score was 580 (and also I did not finish 13 questions).

The test you are going to take is very hard. So my best suggestion well be go to boarders and buy the PCAT exam book. The book well tell you what you need to know to pass the test and it has practice exams in the back (I wish that I had did that in the beginning)

However, you would have a general idea what the test is going to be like. If you are going to buy the book make sure when you study not to study for a long period of time because then your brain will start gathering to much information at once you will start to forget some things.

My best suggestion well be to study for about an hour or so then take a 15-20 min break. After, you then can test yourself in the back of the book or continue studying from where you left off. I really hope that you pass (make sure that you don't leave any questions blank if you don't know it just guess it, if you leave it blank then you well have that answer wrong). Also here are some wed sites you can go to, to tell you a little bit more about the exam...
Good Luck!!!

What is "study hard" in Korean?

열심히 공부하다 (yeol sim hi gong bu ha da)

I know I should study but don't feel like. What should I do?

Stop jacking around and wasting valuable time and money spent.  While others will surpass you and graduate or finish their course you don't want to be the only one left behind.  It's embarrassing and it demoralizing.    I know its not the most fun stuff to read or do but CMON we've all in the community have at one point or another had to go through it.  Even if you got a tutor and understood it doesn't mean you'll like it.  That's ok!  Don't worry about loving it right now.  Just finish it so you can get by and go on to higher studies which focus more on what YOU DO LOVE! or at least like.  For now just read the books, fill out the paper work, submit work on time, ALWAYS show up to class, ask, ask, and ASK if you have any doubts (you won't look dumb.  the smartest people in the world are the ones who are inquisitive and constantly ask questions)  find study groups w/ friends or even others you may not know at first who are good in the subject (make new friends while your at it), and so forth.  Studying in groups I've always noticed improved my grades and made studying more fun.  I always got more stuff done when I was with them.. so long as we didnt jack around too much.  Get off the sms, internet, anime, and all the other kiddie crap.  Get to work and get it over with.  It'll be a relief.  Don't procrastinate or put things off till last minute otherwise you'll set yourself up for failure.  Biggest tip from the world's successful CEO's have always been to be PLANNED and ORGANIZED well in advance.   If you get brain fart, get tired, get sleepy while reading, or get bored easily then you may have to take more breaks than the average person.  So ... GET UP!! Loosen up, take a shower, eat something, chat for 10 minutes but be strict about time line and get back to work once break is over.  Go for a jog, talk on the phone w/ other friends working on same projects or studying the same subject.    Its time to take things seriously.  Don't waste time.  Don't bullshit your life away.  This may be small to you right now but TRUST me... it all adds up and factors in to your lifestyle, habit, and way you act in society as a responsible working and contributing adult.         You can do it!

I wanna study hard but I can't, how can I motivate myself for that?

(72 requests!!!)As of me, I had an inborn urge to study well and prove myself. Since my childhood I had been so engrossed in studies that I hardly did anything else(including making friends). As told in many previous answers, I started studying advanced stuff from a very young age. Most of you who have started in classes 11th and 12th must have had a very chill life until now. Believe me,this is a very right time to start studying. You would really feel it a lot if you don't make it to a college of your expectations (as told by my friends).Although it makes little difference what your JEE rank was once you are in college, but college does (as seniors say). There should be an urge from your inside to get a good rank, go to your dream college, etc. All the wordly pleasures(TV shows, Movies, Social Media, Girls/Boys :p , going out with friends, etc.) should be done to a minimum (best if avoided, but make sure you have few stress busters too).Listen to motivational songs(Eminem works for me). Have that tendency to rip apart the freakin' paper. Blow off everybody in test results (but never be a part of rat race or bad competition). Think about the happiness you and your family will get when you perform above their expectations (don't take this negatively). Talk to a friend, parent, sibling who is a good motivater.Never get demotivated by your bad results. Rather take it as a challenge to perform better next time. I know many people who used to do very bad in early stages, but they maintained their cool and worked hard, and have achieved great ranks. So put your best foot forward, don't care about ranks, just study well and give your best. All the best!!!You can check out my blog if you liked this answer. I blog about JEE, Computer Science, Medical and other exams.
