I need iMessage text buddies. Basically what that is, is it's a message app for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad running on iOS 5 or later. (5.0.1, 5.1, and 5.1.1). Apple came out with iMessage and it's awesome. iPad and iPod Touch users uses an email address instead of a phone number. iPhone users uses they're own phone number. I, use and iPod Touch 4G, running iOS 5.1.1. So my email is x714x@yahoo.com. So instead of writing a phone number to text me, simply write my email address. And it's very fast. It shows while I'm typing, and also shows if you read my texts and shows you if I read your text. Very handy. So please message me. Thanks.

Yes you can! I have spent the last hour looking for how to do this and have finally found it. There is both a way to do this from a PC and a Mac. Per usual, the Mac route is easier.I'll start with the PC I won't go through all of the different ways that didn't work but what what finally did was Google Voice. They have an option for you to port your own number but it costs. This screen looks good! You're all like, sure I'll throw them a $20. But then the very next screen is this. Get charged an early termination fee on top of $20 to use my own phone to text from my computer? Nah! But as far as I've seen this is the closes way to do it on a PC.
