Thailand Day Trips And Tours

Is 10,000 baht enough for a 4 day trip in Thailand?

Sure it's more then enough if you mind your spendings, for a good lower-middleclass hotel say 800 per day, but at Khaosan Road you find good places for 400b or less. Thai food 200 a day, Bangkok taxis are extremely cheap, an hour drive for 300 bath or so. same for the taxiboats, subway, skyrain. The bus to Pattaya cost 140 bath or so, a room at Queen Pattaya hotel, Central Pattaya Road 600, just behind you have very good rooms for 200b.
I you mind your spendings you will have enough left to some funshopping.

welcome in paradise !

How do I plan 4 day trip to Bangkok, Thailand?

Thanks for a2a.Assuming your arriving in the morning, after you've got everything settled, you can spend that first whole day exploring the old city (grand palace and other temples). The easiest way to get there without having to take a taxi through the traffic is to take the skytrain to Saphan Taksin and then hop on the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Tha Chang Pier. Though, it might not be the direct way, I think it's more convenient as you don't have to waste your time in traffic and it's probably cheaper. The next day, after your meeting, I suggest you take a flight down to Phuket. There are many low-cost airlines available (Nok Air, AirAsia, Thai Smile etc.) to book from and the fares really are cheap if you're travelling by yourself. After arriving at Phuket probably in the late afternoon, since you would like to go to Railay Beach you can just stay at one of the many hotels there as in every popular beach in Phuket tends to have at least one or two well-priced, good quality hotels if thats what you're looking for. After settling you can relax or take a swim int he sea or go down to Patong or the many nightlife, party area if that's what you like. The next day, if you'd like you can take a speed boat to Maya Bay which is very famous for its blue water and limestone (you can ask for more info from the hotel staff). Another option is to hire a long tail boat to the other beautiful destinations (though I'm not sure if the price may be high). If you want to go to a quieter beach destination but with the same quality sand and water, you can go to Krabi which is a little south of Phuket. The boat trip destinations mentioned above are also within easy reach from Krabi (perhaps even a bit closer if you come from Krabi). The next day, you can just get flight back to Bkk then head on. If you're departing from Suvarnabhumi Airport then make sure that flight from Phuket ir Krabi is landing there for easy connections as some lowcost airlines land Bangkok's old Don Muang Airport and you'd have to take a taxi from the North of Bangkok, pass the city to the East where the main airport (Suvarnabhumi), which could take long depending on the traffic.Hope this helps and hope you have fun trip here. :)

How do I plan a 4 day trip to Thailand?

I did the Bangkok and Pattaya trip with my family from December 18 to 24, 2015. I booked flights on my own from Chennai to Bangkok on Air Asia. It cost INR 12k/head for return tickets. Visa cost was roughly INR 2k/head (1K Baht to be specific) I got a great deal on the land only package with the following inclusions: PattayaSriracha tiger zoo - Breakfast only, no entryCoral island tour - watersports not includedAlcazar showNoong Nooch villageLaser Buddha mountainBangkokFull day city tour - Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Emerald Buddha Temple, Royal PalaceSiam Niramit showSafari World with Marine ParkSiam Ocean WorldI also visited the Pattaya Tower and Sanctuary of Truth as add on to the package. I did a few watersports (parasailing, under sea walk) at Coral island. Also did some shopping in Indra market in Bangkok. Other inclusionsAll meals (vegetarian) lunch and dinnerAll transfers including airport to Pattaya, Pattaya to Bangkok and Bangkok to airportAccommodation in the Golden Beach hotel, Pattaya and The Seasons Bangkok Siam hotel with breakfastThe all inclusive overall cost (airfare, visa, accommodation, food, land transport (mostly private), attraction entry fees, entertainment, watersports, shopping andThailand local SIM from Air Asia) for 2 adults and 1 child (4 years) for this trip was 1.3 lakhs INR (roughly INR 50k/adult and INR 30k/child). So, if you rely on public transport and budget accommodation, I am sure you can do this trip under 40K/person.If you are going for just 4 days, you should just stick to Bangkok. If you are interested in the pictures taken during the trip, you can see them here:Pattaya - Picasa Web Albums - Praveen Annu - PattayaBangkok - Picasa Web Albums - Praveen Annu - Bangkok

Thailand Travel Tips?

First of all congratulations on choosing to visit Thailand, you will not be disappointed and i'm confident you will have a great time and will want to return once you have completed your trip. Thailand is very tourist friendly, as many items you find in the west can be found in Thailand, the Thai people are generally very tolerant and friendly towards foreigners and visitors of their country and most things are great value for money and reasonably priced. On top of that life is pretty laid back and easy going and can be very fun too!

Quick general things: Beware that all ATM's will charge you 150 Baht for every transaction you make with your bank card - its advisable to contact your bank to let them know you will be overseas, Thailand is around 98% Buddhist and you will be expected to remove your shoes when entering a temple and some other establishments too. The king of Thailand is very much loved and respected - DO NOT disrespect him, or you will be asking for big trouble. If you like Thai food then you are in for a treat - dishes can be brought from 30-50 Baht from street vendors/markets, transportation: motorbikes are the most common method of transport around town, they can be rented from 150 Baht a day, local buses are very cheap - with fares starting off from 100 Baht for long distance (sometimes less in many cases), the songthews in Pattaya charge 10 Baht a ride!

Anyway, have fun & keep safe in the land of smiles.
