How do I unarchive a conversation on Facebook Messenger?

Updated answer:Unarchiving on the updated version of the Messenger app is much simpler now. Here are the steps:On the search bar located at the top of your screen, type in the name of the person or conversation that you've archived and;Send a message to that person.Doing these two steps will help get the conversation back on top of your conversations list.If for some reason, you can't or don't want to do step 2, you can still access and see the conversation thread regardless just by doing step 1. However, the conversation won't reappear on your list.Original answer:On the latest version of the Messenger app, I found that there was no direct option to restore an archived conversation. However, I did find a way to restore an archived conversation nonetheless.Just block the person and then unblock. Here are the steps:Click the “profile” icon which can be found on the farthest right at the top of the screen. Here you will find a list that goes: Username, Phone Number, Notifications & Sounds, etc.Among the list, go ahead and tap “People.”Tap “Blocked People” and then tap “Add Someone.”You should then enter or choose the name of the conversation you archived. Then turn on “Block All Messages.”After blocking the account, it will appear in “Blocked People,” just tap on “UNBLOCK” and the conversation should be back on your conversations list.

Why do I get a message on Facebook messenger saying "This person isn't available right now"?

There might be one of three cases when you get "This person isn't available right now" message -Case 1 : User has blocked youCase 2 : You have blocked that userCase 3: User has NOT blocked you (because you are able to see their profile mean that user not blocked you yet).In last case, if you are able to see that user’s profile but still unable to send them messages (i.e you are getting message "This person isn't available right now"), it will be probably when user has set privacy to messages they receive. If they have restricted messages they want to receive from by setting it in privacy AND they have deleted the conversation then you will get this message. You will be able to send them messages until they do not delete conversation. Once they delete the conversation, the privacy comes in act and you will no longer able to initiate the conversation, thus you can’t send them messages first. Only that user can initiate the conversation after they deletes the conversation.

I believe you want to get your name OFF the Yahoo pages, right?

Go here: http://info.yahoo.com/privacy/us/yahoo/p... click "My Account". You're going to sign in again, after which you'll be on your account page.

Click "Edit" for your Yahoo ID, look for aliases. This is where you'll change your name to what you want it to be, once done, click "Finished".

That's going to bring you to the front page where you'll click "Finished" again. Restart your computer and you're all set.

Why has my avatar gone missing from my messenger window?

I have no reason to pick a best answer, as I've on gotten on reply. It give some information, but nothing that would tell me why the Avatar left my messenger page. But it shows on all the other yahoo pages, like mail and such. If I drop down on the avatar picture, it does not show the customize link, and if you go to create a new avatar, it goes to my profile page, which shows my avatar as it was. But does not show any means of putting it back on the messenger window, or how to make a new one using the 11.5 messenger. I can put my picture back in place of the gray box with a smiley face.

So I guess I am stuck with no real answer, and that the question will auto destruct before I do get any kind of answer. And all the messages I've sent to yahoo messenger help have gone unanswered as well. But then again, I have never been able to get a honest answer from yahoo on any subject, so they act just like Google, MSN and so on. I understand that the services are free, but it seems to

What is the difference between Yahoo Mail and messenger, when I sign into one am I in the other?

I keep getting messages saying that I have been signed out because I have signed in on another computer or something like that when I might have signed in in messenger and Yahoo has asked me to sign into Yahoo-Mail or My Yahoo. I am so confused but I tend to do what I have to do anyway. Is it possible that sometimes help is no help because I am in the wrong program and I didn't know it? This is a problem if integration of Mail & Messenger. I cannot select both for a suggested category or when I browse the categories.

Yahoo! IM Display Image Issues?

Open an instant message page, by clicking on any of your contacts. In the toolbar at the top of the upper half, look for and click View, scroll to Display Images and click.

This will bring up any pictures your contacts have posted, but remember, they have to have posted something in order for you to see it.

As for seeing them in your Address Book, uh-uh, no one does. I've been with Yahoo for a lot of years and have never seen photos accompanying a contact there.

My contacts not showing online?

If you are talking about the messaging service available in Mail Chat:

Next to your Username on your Mail Page you should see a status which may say "Offline" at the moment. Click on it and change your status to "Available". You should then be signed into Mail Chat. Your "Available" Contacts will show on the left hand side with an orange circle next to their name under "Contacts".

If you are talking about the fully downloaded version of Yahoo Messenger, your online Contacts will be highlighted whilst your offline Contacts will be greyed out.

To show all your online and offline Contacts:

Click on "Contacts" at the top of your Messenger Toolbar.

Click on "Show/Hide".

Click on "Offline Contacts" and "Address Book Contacts".

Both these options should have a tick besides them.
