The Storage On My Iphone Is Wrong How Can I Fix This

Whats wrong with my storage?

I have an iPhone 4s. i want to download IOS8 but it requires at least 4.6 GB of storage. My storage plan sucks *** so i only had 6 GB to begin with, so i deleted all of my apps, messages, music, photos, videos, voice memos, and every single one of my contacts. As of right now i still cease to have one app that i can physically delete. Yet in my usage settings i only have 3.5 GB of data that im able to use and some of the apps are still taking up storage. I even bought 200 GB of iCloud storage but nothing is working. I am completely unable to delete anything else!!!! What do i do???

Is there any way to increase the storage of my iPhone 5s?

You can easily easily increase the internal storage by applying a simple hack on your device. You don’t need any gadget or third-party app for this procedure. The trick is, go to iTunes Store and try to Rent a movie which is bigger than the available storage on your device. Don’t worry, it won’t reduce money. You’ll see a insufficient storage message. After that, check your storage again. It should have increased. For complete tutorial follow: How to Increase Storage on iPhone or iPad

Why does my iPhone 6s say that the storage is full when there is nothing stored on this phone and it can't update. How can I fix this?

Depending on the iOS version currently installed the update to iOS 12 could be considerably larger in size. You need enough space to download and enough extra space to install. Check the storage especially photos and messages. Those are the apps that can consume an enormous amount of space. Save any photos / videos from Messages and delete them from Messsages. Offload the photos and videos from Photos to the PC / Mac Photos App. On a PC mount the iPhone and drill down you will see the photos stored as if it was an SD card. You can copy them to a folder and then delete them from the PC mounted storage on the iPhone. Photos on a Mac can import and delete from the iPhone. The alternative upgrade process would be to backup to iCloud then connect to iTunes, make another backup in iTunes as a precaution. Then reset the iPhone to factory and upgrade to iOS 12 via iTunes. Run through the setup process as a new iPhone. Then reset to factory again and choose restore from iCloud backup during the iPhone setup process on iOS 12. That should migrate all your data including the photos, messages, etc.To reset to factory go to Settings - General - Reset - Erase All Settings and Comtent.

IPod storage problem?

Not sure if its the same case as android, I just got an iPhone but had an android previously and had the same problem. Try going into your search browser go to your settings like where you clear the Internet history and hit "clear cache" and the cookies basically hit every button you can clear. After that, it should let you update. If not, I have no clue, as I've never owned an iPod touch but I'm sure they are quite similar to iPhones. Hope it works! -fingers crossed-

Why does my iphone keeps saying no available storage?

I have the iPhone5 and when I open up my camera it says "Cannot take photo there is not enough available storage" and it gives me the option to go to storage and when I do it says I have 3.2 mb available in storage and on my iCloud it says i have 9.4 GB free and 15GB total available.

Why won't it let me take more photos? I bought the $20 iCloud storage thing a while back.. And I don't even have that many photos, I only have like 400

My messages and message history on my iPhone 6 suddenly disappeared after I restarted the phone. Is there any way I can get them back?

Actually, after you remove a message from iPhone, the message doesn't actually get deleted. It's because the deleted messages is technically marked for deletion by the system and hidden so that they become invisible to us. Therefore, deleted messages still stays somewhere on iPhone and you can retrieve them as long as you find those marked and hidden messages files. Absolutely, this is limited that the deleted messages are not overwritten. However, how can we find those marked and hidden messages files, and retrieve invisible messages on iPhone? It's impossible to find those hidden messages files unless you have outside help. PhoneRescue, is such a professional iPhone data recovery utility. Why is my iPhone 6 being stupid?

Save your photos in the cloud and only download a few. Go to settings, photos and camera, then turn on iCloud photo library (beta), then click optimize iPhone storage. This will save most of your pics and videos on thYouTube cloud, but you can still access them when you are in wifi or cellular data. This helped me clear up a lot of space.

Why won't my iPhone photos load?

Hey the below mentioned answers are wrong and misleading and I know this because I have suffered from the same problem. You must have clicked the button “Optimise my Iphone storage” when your phone continuously asks you to do so when your device memory is low.On clicking that what happens is1. All your photos start uploading to your iCloud(but it wont occupy space in icloud due to Apple policy).2. All you can see in your camera roll is the thumb nail of all the photos. So whenever you click on a photo it will take some time to download from net to show you.3. As this is the case, if you try to access the photos from some third party app, the OS hides all the thumbnail only photos.4. To fix this, you have to clear up lots of memory and then go to settings>Photos>disable optimise iphone storage.5.Now all your photos in cloud will start downloading. Be patient. Or you can directly go to iCloud and save your photos to PC.
