The long years of Chinese Communism rule snuffed out ideas of religion, divinity, deity. Present day Chinese, at large, are atheists.(3) That said, in our modern day of science and high technology, and the burning focus of the Chinese government on STEM education, and STEM promotion, anachronistic “Mandate of Heaven” fits awkwardly into contemporary political philosophy thoughtscape. In modern day vernacular: Duh!(4) It would be a comical situation if the godless CCP indeed has the Mandate of Heaven. Likely a heavenly admin error in issuance!
