Do Chinese citizens view the CCP as holding the Mandate of Heaven?

Q. Do Chinese citizens view the CCP as holding the Mandate of Heaven?Short answer: No. If there is indeed a Mandate of Heaven, the godless CCP will rank low in the issuance priority.(1) For Chinese people (or any people for that matter) to adopt a “Mandate of Heaven” type divine view, it pre-supposes that there is a robust belief in the cultural/religious heritage of the Chinese, in the divine.(2) Faith (be it Buddhism, Taoism, Judeo-Christian) and Communism were incompatible ideologies. The long years of Chinese Communism rule snuffed out ideas of religion, divinity, deity. Present day Chinese, at large, are atheists.(3) That said, in our modern day of science and high technology, and the burning focus of the Chinese government on STEM education, and STEM promotion, anachronistic “Mandate of Heaven” fits awkwardly into contemporary political philosophy thoughtscape. In modern day vernacular: Duh!(4) It would be a comical situation if the godless CCP indeed has the Mandate of Heaven. Likely a heavenly admin error in issuance!

Which dynasty is the most interesting in Chinese history, and what makes it so?

I agreed with every answer. Han, Tang, Song are indeed my favorites.By the way, to me, the most interesting dynasty is Zhou Dynasty.Zhou dynasty was very interesting becauseZhou Dynasty was separated into two periods, Western Zhou, when the King held the superior power over the feudal lords, and Eastern Zhou, when the King of Zhou was simply a merely figurehead. Many, if not most, of Chinese idioms came from the two eras, Spring - Autumn period, and Warring States period, which were within the Zhou dynasty period.Famous stories, myths, and tales also came from this period as well. This included the historical stories of the good and the bad. For example, the story of Duke Wen of Jin, Xi Shi the beauty, the honesty and loyalty of the Duke of Zhou, patience of King Goujian, or King You of Zhou’s madness and stupidity.Confucianism and Taoism, which are two most prominent Chinese ideologies began in this dynasty. Confucianism significantly affected post-Zhou dynasty.Besides Confucianism and Taoism, there were hundred schools of thought. This dynasty was therefore the golden age of Chinese philosophy. It’s definitely an era of cultural and intellectual expansion of China, as indicated in Wikipedia. Hundred Schools of Thought - WikipediaMore than half of famous military treatises all came from this period. This includes the Art of War by Sun Tsu, and Sun Bin, the Wuzi bu Wu Qi, Jiang Taigong’s Six Secret Teachings and Wei Liaozi by Wei Liao. Besides, Many Military tactics and strategies were “invented” in this period. They were cited by later generals of other periods, especially the Three KingdomsThe history of Zhou dynasty was the ONLY period that China was in the real feudal age. This lasted more than 800 years until King of Qin unified the country. Even though other periods had the similar fiefdom, it was merely decentralization, not feudalism, and it lasted only several decades. The Zhou introduced the Mandate of Heaven concept, which would be used to legitimize the rule by all subsequent dynasties. There were many interesting political intrigues in this period. This included the wicked plan to execute the enemy’s family, how to usurp the dukedom without being looked like an obvious villain etc. In my opinion, it was much interesting and deeper than the Three Kingdoms period.
