What are some good things to do for Christmas in Sydney and Adelaide, Australia?
In Adelaide, hoping it's hot, take the opportunity to head to our southern beaches. Port Noarlunga is not too far by train and bus and is the shore of a nice small town with a river nearby if you like fishing. They have a reef you can access by walking to the end of the jetty, not tropical fish but still angel fish and plenty to see. Theres a dive centre there if you want to go scuba diving and they'll rent flippers and masks. Nice restuarants to watch the sun go down or just have fish & chips on the grass knoll beside the beach.We have a great bicycle pathway along our Torrens river down to a nice suburban beach at Henley. Head along the esplanade to Henley square for bars and Restuarants. We also have a tram to a busy touristy beach at Glenelg with shops, pubs and ice cream. Free yellow bikes with helmets around the place you can drop off at a different location rather than returning to your startin point or look at the web for local council bike pick up places.Our Nth Tce is a nice walk past parliament, the governors residence , war memorial. A bit further along the art gallery is great if you need to cool off inside and there's usually an exhibition in the state library or museum adjacent. The Festival Theatre park with bridge across to our oval is good for a walk and at the oval there may be tennis or cricket on. On the river in front of the theatre you can get boats called Popeye to the zoo or get off at the same place and head into the parkland verge to the gatekeepers lodge entrance to for a lovely walk through our botanic gardens and its rose garden, rainforest conservatory, palm glassshouse and more. Then head back into Adelaide’s shopping mall with its famous ‘malls balls’ via East Rundle st and side streets with their fashion label shopping and more pubs , cafes and a cinema complex with new releases as well as non mainstream stuff.Our Peel and Leigh streets have plenty of craft beer and wine bars with various themes. But for the real winery experience, head to either our towns in the Barossa Valley or Mclaren vale , 1 to 1.5 hour north or south for tastings and a meal.oh and don't miss the Jam Factory, take the tram down Nth Tce toward the new hospital, medical research complex, UniSa western campus. The Jam Factory is a complex for artists in residency, have a tour and maybe buy something in the gift shop as a momento of your trip.Hope you like it hereJeanette

Over the christmas holidays (before christmas day) for some random reason i always get out the video recorder and record lots of video's so i can look back at them when im older. I also go christmas shopping with my mum and i usually have a christmas sleepover with my friend and we sing christmas songs and its really fun! Christmas eve is the best though cause i got to my friends house every year and we play games and then we randomly jump up and down and run around so we get really tired so its easy for us to get to sleep. Then when its like 7pm onwards i sit and watch christmas films on the telly, like last year i watched the polar express. More idea's that you could do is make christmas decorations for your bedroom like make paper snowflakes and stick them all over your walls. Or you could prepare anywhere in the house for christmas! ive just turned 15 and i still love preparing things for christmas... and if you do still get bored after all my idea's, there's always bound to be some legendary christmas film on tv.
