This Girl Is Sooo Clingy She Won

Why are girls so clingy/needy?

so I just started going out with my gf last month and already she's starting to get really clingy. she wants to be with me all the time and gets mad if I don't text her back right away. she's not the only girl I've dated that acts this way, matter of fact almost all of them got clingy. why do girls act this way? Im a guy and i need my personal space!

Why are girls so clingy?

Alright, I'm going to preface this by saying, I'm not your average @sshole guy who thinks the world loves him, so temper your responses as if you're talking to someone who is reasonable and who approaches things with a relatively open mind.

So, I'm in this relationship. One in a long line of similar ones, I have a tendency to get into the serious kind, and my girlfriends tend to stick around for the better side of a year. My current and I are just about at the 18 month mark.

We have hit this point where I am comfy. I like talking to her, and having her around, and doing the cute little couple things, but I also like my space, and try to communicate that to her in a non hostile or not "get off my back" toned way. I try to just let her know gently when I need to just chill out and not be sitting on the couch with her in my lap.

But she, on the other hand, just cant seem to get enough. She wants me to hold her from the second I get home until the second I leave for work the next day, and generally suffocates me.

Now, I'm pointing out what she does, but this behavior has led to EVERY SINGLE BREAK UP I've had in the last 8 years. Girls hit this point where they want you around them 24/7, and excuse me if I like my partners to be PART of my life and not the entire focus of it.

So as I said, I'm not an uncaring person. I cuddle after sex, I like laying together and watching a movie, I give her a massage nearly every night, but I don't want to be wrapped around ANYONE every second that I'm not at work. I hate my job, and at times I enjoy going to get a respite from her. Its ******* ridiculous!

So, what the hell should I do? I mean, I'm not going to say there's something wrong with me. Hell, I would say that I'm more affectionate on a regular basis than the average guy I know, but I like a few hours a day to sit at the computer and play games, or to take a hot shower _alone_ or maybe, just maybe, fall asleep in a position that's comfortable to me, not that makes her feel like my teddy bear.

I cant figure it out. Are all girls like this? Or do I just have some weird attraction to girls who do this and haven't figured it out? I don't know. But its the reason I keep having to end relationships, and I like this girl, I don't want to break up with her because shes suffocating me.

I took this girls virginity, and now she is being very clingy.?

Aww this is not good! I think you need to just distance yourself from her for a while, at least until she matures, and maybe forever. She is probably feeling very raw right now and even used. If she was a virgin before you, she probably has a completely different outlook on sex and relationships, believing (perhaps rightfully so) that at her age sex should be only between people that love and care for each other. I think it would be harsh for you to tell her flat out that you are not interested in her and only wanted her for her body, so I think your best bet is to lay low for a while and avoid her. Good luck!

Pick me for best answer please!

How can I get a clingy girl to leave me alone?

This is why FWB never works unless there is serious distance involved or a time limit that will then involve a serious distance. I have a FWB in England. It works because he is in England and I am nowhere near England 99.9% of the time. The other .1% the FWB setup works perfectly.I have also had a successful FWB for a few months in Kazakhstan. Worked just fine. But then my contract was up and I moved away. Time limit. Now there’s serious distance.Outside of this, I have never seen a FWB pulled off successfully. If you are anywhere within reasonable commuting distance of a person, a FWB is not going to work out. One or the other is going to become more attached. Potentially both. If you end up with both parties becoming more attached, then you have a relationship and that’s fine, but it’s also a failed FWB. Successful relationship, but failed FWB.The more likely scenario is the one that you are painting, where one person falls and the other person does not.You have three options here.Continue having sex with the “FWB” and say nothing outright about how you are not interested in her for a relationship, but realize that she no longer sees it as an FWB. She’s gotten clingy. If the sex is worth it, it is, but you’re going to have to put up with this. This is also “stringing her along” to a certain extent.Tell the FWB bluntly that you have no desire for a relationship and just want to have sex. It doesn’t seem as though you have done this. It seems as though you’ve been dropping “hints” that she has not interpreted as “hints.” Tell her you want her to leave you alone and not see her unless you are having sex. While this will likely get the message across, it is likely that she will no longer be interested in sex with you.Just end the FWB entirely and give up the sex.Frankly, I’d go with 3. Seems like 1 and 2 will end up with massive amounts of drama that are best avoided.

Why are girls so clingy/needy?

such a hasty generalization.. not all girls are clingy/needy, but I guess we like knowing that you like us? its hard to explain... it's like we want you to be there for us and all lovey dovey because we like that attention, which in all honesty isn't a bad thing. We want to know that we're cared for and loved. But if your having such a problem with your current gf, just talk to her about it. Dont be like, " yo ***** your too clingy", just be nice about it and tell her that for example sometimes your busy and you can't text her back right away, but it doesnt mean your ignoring her on purpose. She'll understand.. hopefully. Good Luck.

Why are Cancer girls so clingy?

There is a girl who is a cancer and she likes me and she is very very clingy. She always wants me to hang out with her every single day and always wants to text me. She does not give me any space, like I can't go a day without her asking me to come do something with her and she keeps asking me to come home with her. (We're both in college) She is so persistent and its so annoying but kind of cute at the same time, because she always wants my attention. She always wants to impress me by either singing, or showing me videos. I mean its kind of nice to have someone who wants your attention, but I need my space and alone time sometimes and I don't want to hurt her feelings so I usually go along with whatever she wants to do, but she is wearing me out! I kind of like her too, but she is way to clingy. Why is that?

Btw I'm also a girl, and I'm an Aquarius with a Gemini moon.

Girlfriend is too clingy?

We have been dating for 6 months now, she is 15,I'm 16

She is way too clingy like she texts me a 100 times, wants to know every little detail of my life, like even about my family and what they do, how my brother got married and what not!!

she acts like she is a part of my family but honestly she isn't, we are not married and haven't been even dating for that long

When she's with me she literally clings to me!!! Like she won't let me move at all and will lay on my chest....it might seem cute at first but when you do that all the time, it gets irritating, like she will keep cuddling when I am texting, just to distract me and she also takes my phone and keeps it away..She is so controlling!

She is also very insecure and does not like when I talk to other girls when they are just my friends

If I break up with her, she will think I have ''hit it and quit it'' and tell the whole class about how I ''used'' her because we have had sex twice

This really clingy girl won't leave me alone?

So there's this girl at my school who's like a Special Education student. She's not pretty at all (not to be mean, but a fact's a fact...), and she doesn't have any friends. So, at the beginning of the school year, when I saw her all by herself, I figured I'd go and introduce myself, right? So I guess I found out WHY she has no friends. She is the clingiest person I've ever met! She follows me EVERYWHERE and I never get ANY alone time, not even with my own boyfriend! She's super annoying and I try to be nice, I do. But I need space! Once I tried talking with her reasonably and telling her I need space and then she starts crying and her Special Ed teacher comes up to me and yells at me for "bullying." We're in high school! I'm so frustrated, I guess this is what I get for being nice! And yet I can't seem to get rid of her. I'm losing all my friends and I never get to see my boyfriend. What should I do?
