Tall girl, short boy?
I'm 5'8" and I absolutely HATE my height. I wish I was 5'0". I know what people say, "Short girls wish they were taller, and tall girls wish they were shorter." But I honestly don't see how someone short could ever want to be tall. Short girls have NO idea how lucky they are! Well anyways, I met a guy about two months ago and he's 5'6". He honestly doesn't care that I'm taller than him, but I feel awkward and weird because my ex boyfriend was 6'3". I'm not used to being around someone who is significantly shorter than me. I'm thinking about possibly dating him in the future, but I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to cope with the fact that I'm taller. It makes me feel like I have to be the one to 'protect' him, and make him feel safe. Any advice?

Ok… let me start with some harsh truths. Yes to most girls dating a short guy is an issue especially if she is tall. Visual cues on height are important to most women. However this is not true when power, personality, confidence and sheer self belief get factored in. In my experience short girls love tall guys and short guys love tall women. There are tall girls who like shorter guys but due to old minded society they are afraid to date shorter men while some shorter men are too egoistic to believe that a girl can be taller than them so they prefer not to date one, not that they wont like to though ;) Opposites attract especially in the world where women have always been the weaker sex even till today , when a guys sees a girl taller than him, he is turned on automatically due to the fact that she is a girl and yet taller ( moment of truth ) .
