Throat Gland/ Larynx Swollen

How can I treat a swollen throat after vomiting?

I suffer from acid reflux and find that two things help. Stay sitting up for an hour after vomiting to encourage downward movement of stomach contents. Sip plenty of cool water and then before you ie down suck on a couple of ant acid tablets such as Rennie or Bisodol. Let the residue remain and do not wash it down. If the vomit went up the back of your nose or is higher up, a steamy shower first is good and blowing your nose, thought the last part needs to be done in the shower over a few minutes as it gets worse before it gets better. Keeping very well hydrated is always important and nothing replaces plain water.

Why did my throat become sore and glands tender after shooting up meth?

sore throat- you sucked a hot gas through your respiratory system, a gas containing irritating chemicals, seems reasonable that it would irritate your throat, How is methamphetamine different from other stimulants, such as cocaine? remember stimulants are vasoconstrictors, they cause veins to shrink reducing the supply of blood, this would impact on healing, given the distracting nature of the substance it also make sit more likely you will ignore negative signals that would in a sober state cause you to stop applying the stimulus.Next your immune system, stress or threat kicks the ‘fight or flight’ response into effect, this redirects blood to the muscles and away from the digestive system (why you go to the toilet when you use or even decide/think about using meth) and higher brain areas (why you aren’t able to think about consequences) but more Levant to this specific question it also shuts down the immune system making you susceptible (vulnerable) to infection.Add to this the fact you are probably ignoring things like temperature, environment, are not eating (let alone healthily) and are probably smoking a lot more tobacco than usual.all these add up to make a sore throat normal if you are going to smoke meth.

I have a swollen throat, could it be from over-singing? What can I do to treat it?

I'm taking a vocal class for the first time and it started hurting after one of my practices and just kept getting worse and now it feels swollen in my glands/larynx area, feels like a lump in my throat, very uncomfortable, hurts and hard to talk/sing. Could singing too hard cause this? I wanna know so it doesn't happen again before my final. I don't think I have a cold or anything but a lot of mucus build up after I eat food. My throat is more swollen right now than sore.

I also have a boyfriend so unless you can get something weird from kissing besides mono (I don't think I have that because the only symptom I have is a swollen throat and not fatigue but I don't know?)

I went to a doctor to get tested for strep but it came out negative so he just gave me some antibiotics. In the meantime what can I do to help it get better?

What does swollen glands mean if it comes with a stuffy nose and sore throat?

Swollen glands or nodes generally mean that you have a virus or a severe bacterial process (bacterial infection). This may resolve on its own--if you are able to get some good rest in. Very often this is what happens: 1st a person gets worn down. When this happens, our defenses are down because our immune system is not as strong as it should be. Our bodies naturally contain many different types of micro organisms (such as bacteria). When our defenses are down, these microbes are actually able to infect us! These are called opportunistic bacteria. This usually starts with a stuffy/runny nose, which can lead to a post nasal drip (snot runs down the back of your throat from your sinuses), or the infection can spread to your larynx (throat)--either of these can cause a sore throat. There will often be a cough that follows the sore throat. All the while, your body is trying hard to get rid of the microbes....thus the swollen glands. If you look in the mirror and see some whitish plaques in your throat, then this infection may be strep (an opportunistic invader!).

Another user suggested a URI (upper respiratory infection), but I doubt this to be the case...it could turn into one though, so get some rest! Good Luck!

Throat cancer symptoms?

Here are the Signs and symptoms of Throat Cancer -

An early indication of oral and throat cancer is one or more changes in the way the soft tissues of your mouth usually look or feel. Signs and symptoms may include:

* A sore in your mouth that doesn't heal or increases in size
* Persistent pain in your mouth
* Lumps or white, red or dark patches inside your mouth
* Thickening of your cheek
* Difficulty chewing or swallowing or moving your tongue
* Difficulty moving your jaw, or swelling or pain in your jaw
* Soreness in your throat or feeling that something is caught in your throat
* Pain around your teeth, or loosening of your teeth
* Numbness of your tongue or elsewhere in your mouth
* Changes in your voice
* A lump in your neck
* Bad breath

Most oral cancers arise on the lips, tongue or on the floor of the mouth. They also may occur inside your cheeks, on your gums or on the roof of your mouth.

Please have a check up by you General Physician and he will tell you what to do. Do not get unnecessarily alarmed, but at the same time you should not neglect also, as CANCER IS STILL AN ENIGMA. Best of luck.-

Can "choking" someone during sex cause swollen glands in your throat?

Umm, Yes. Choking of any kind can cause this. There are some other issues in this type of sexual adventure that you need to consider. It is highly possible and probable that you could die from strangulation even after she has stopped choking. If she causes enough damage to the throat during strangulation, the resulting swelling which will usually occur within minutes of the trauma can be severe enough to cause you to strangle without being touched. This is an extremely dangerous way of "getting your rocks off". More often than not, people get into this and don't know what they are doing. A large number of people during the height of release forget to let go of their partner and when they finally do, it's too late. I worked once in a mortuary and had 2 people brought in in 6 months who had died of strangulation during sex.

Swollen lymph nodes on my neck what's wrong with me?

It seems obvious that something is going on that is not normal. The lymphatic system is responsible for taking old cells, diseased cells, cancer cells, and debris from the body. Infections generate lots of debris and if the lymphatic system gets overloaded, it can cause the lymph nodes to swell.

Infections anywhere in the body deplete the body of minerals. The teeth is one place the body cannot overcome infection because there is little blood flow to many parts of the teeth. Vaccinations, injuries, tattoos, trauma to parts of the body all create interference fields that block the energy pathways in the body and can cause many of these problems. The combination of infection, inflammation, blocked pathways, all contribute to this type of lymph condition.

A good QRA test could determine very quickly where any infection is and also be able to tell what, if any interference field that is blocking the ability of the lymphatic system to work properly. Since the lymphatic circulatory system does not have a pump, like the blood does, it relies on exercise and movement of the body to keep it flowing. Also, if organs, like the liver and gallbladder, for instance are toxic, this can have a dramatic effect on the lymphatic system working like it should.

You can treat the symptom of the swollen nodes with "devil's claw" herb and nucleotides, but it's important to find the "root cause" of the problem so you can make your body healthy. This is happening for a reason. The swollen nodes are a symptom, not the "root cause" or the real problem.

I would look to your teeth as a first cause. Any root canals, amalgam fillings (silver fillings), extracted teeth, gum disease, etc. I would have the QRA practitioner look at your spleen, liver, gallbladder, and any possible infection sites, especially the teeth as I have mentioned.

Did your doctor do an ESR test? It's only about $25 to do the test and this will tell you if you have any inflammation in your body. It's not specific to where it is, but it is a good general test to see how much you have.

good luck to you

Mono and swollen lymph nodes?

I was diagnosed with mono 7 months ago. The doctor's were very suprised since I did not show the typical symptoms. All I complained of was being tired and I had my lymph nodes swollen. However I am getting worried because after all these months my lymph nodes are still swollen. I have one on each side of my neck. Has anyone else had this with mono? Where the lymph nodes stay swollen for so long? Also has anyone experienced anxiety attacks after getting mono?

Help! Lump in my throat!?

I've been having this feeling of having a lump in my throat for quite some time now. First time felt it about 6 months ago, but it comes and goes. Certain days it will stay there the whole day. Other days it won't be there. I also have this ear pain in my right ear every now and then. but this also come and goes. Generally when I'm busy during the day I don't notice or feel the symptoms, but a day at home doing nothing and I will feel it the whole time. Also felt a small little bump next to my tonsil tonight after I checked my throat to see if I could see something. Am I just paranoid, stressed, or should I really be worried? BTW, I'm 23 now
Thanks so much
