Tingling And Burning In Back/neck

Weird burning/tingling sensations on body+head on very concentrated spots?

There are many possible causes of tingling:

Remaining in the same seated or standing position for a long time
Injury to a nerve -- for example, a neck injury may cause you to feel numbness anywhere along your arm or hand, while a low back injury can cause numbness or tingling down the back of your leg
Pressure on the spinal nerves, such as from a herniated disk
Pressure on peripheral nerves from enlarged blood vessels, tumors, scar tissue, or infection
Shingles or herpes zoster infection
Lack of blood supply to an area -- for example, cholesterol (plaque) build up from atherosclerosis in the legs can cause pain, numbness, and tingling while walking (this is called vascular claudication); frostbite can also reduce blood supply and lead to numbness

Other medical conditions, including:
Carpal tunnel syndrome (pressure on a nerve at the wrist)
Diabetes
Migraines
Multiple sclerosis
Seizures
Stroke
Transient ischemic attack (TIA), sometimes called a "mini-stroke"
Underactive thyroid
Raynaud's phenomenon
Abnormal levels of calcium, potassium, or sodium in your body
A lack of vitamin B12 or other vitamin
Use of certain medications
Toxic nerve damage due to lead, alcohol, or tobacco
Radiation therapy

Tingling sensation in my back, neck and shoulders?

It sounds a lot like you have excess muscle tension in your left shoulder. Its not uncommon, especially if your taller (constantly having to bend down to reach sinks or other lower things or bend over to write) and it would also grow worse in uncomfortable chairs like what you would find in a typical school (they basic kind of steel and concrete chairs especially) a good way to check is to take off your shirt and look in the mirror and see if your left shoulder sits higher than the other. Also if it develops into a burning-tingling sensation that's probably a good sign. just wanna add though that this is what happened to me personally, i am not a professional. Anyway the only real solution is to avoid activities that aggravate it (which i know is next to impossible) and other than that physical therapy. Which you typically need a doctors recommendation for, so you should probably see your physician.

Back/neck pain and tingling arm?

You need to get an MRI to find out what is going on with your spine. This sounds like a bulging disk to me, and you need to find out how bad the rupture is. If you have a really bad rupture, no amount of physical therapy is going to fix it. Right now, you might be wasting a lot of time and money on therapy and drugs.

Yes, get some pain medication. There is no reason for you to suffer like this. Then tomorrow get an appointment to get an MRI.

Trust me on this one. I ruptured a disk in my neck (biking accident). The rupture was 8mm. I had surgery to remove the disk and put in hardware and recovered wonderfully. After the accident, I had radiating pain into both hands that had me in tears constantly. I couldn't stand for my hands to be touched or for any air to blow on them. It was awful. I was on pain meds for a while, which did nothing really for the pain but just made me not care so much. Then I was put on neurontin which knocked 90% of pain straight out. I stayed on it until I had my surgery.

Then a couple years ago, I ruptured a disk in my lower back. I had three surgeries to try to fix it. The ruptures were 8mm, 8mm, and 12mm respectively. For the third surgery, I had the disk removed completely. The pain I had for months prior to that last surgery was excruciating. The pressure on my nerve was so intense, I lost the feeling in my left leg. After the surgery, all my pain was gone. It's been a year now, and I feel great. I have no pain anymore and I'm getting back in shape.

Sorry to ramble. I sure hope you don't have a severe problem. However, if you do, it's better to know now so you can figure out your options. Don't do therapy if it will be ultimately futile. I did therapy and spinal injections. Nothing worked because you can't get a disk, impinging 12mm and broken into three pieces, to somehow miraculously put itself back together and back in place.

Get your pain meds. Get your MRI. Good luck, dear.

Right leg numbness and tingling, neck pain?

Hello. Little info about myself. I am a healthy, active 24 year old woman who has no known health problems. I have however always suffered from headaches and migraines and feeling that my upper back and shoulders are always strained. Recently, I have noticed some numbness and slight tingling in my right leg. I do not completely loose feeling but I def have some decreased sensation.
My whole leg feels it and it never really goes away, but seems to be getting worse. I got a massage two days ago, and although the numbness started before then, it has gotten worse since the massage. Every now and then. My finger tips in my right hand will tingle. I have always gotten headaches at the top of neck on the right side....and recently it's been hurting there. Anyone know what this may be? I have an appt with a neurologist on oct 11 th. Thanks !:)

Sciatica Buzzing In Foot and tingling feeling in my foot nerve damage please help?

I been having really weird buzzing that is not painful but irritating on the ball of my right foot and that I also feel it towards my right toe. It started around April 12th and I didn’t really pay much attention to it. It bother me for about 2 weeks then it went away. Then it came back around June 6th it was continuing and was very irritating buzzing cell phone vibrating kind of feeling on my right and on June 11th and June 12 it seem kind of painful and cramping because I was doing a lot of walking and I would have to sit down after a little while because it was too painful to walk on. Then I got tattooed on my right leg and I could feel my nerves in my right foot revolting against me buzzing a lot but I didn’t notice the pain in my right foot just more buzzing and irritating again. After a couple days it went back to buzzing and irritating and I didn’t feel the painful cramping that I felt before. I’m not sure if drinking coffee makes it worse because I use to drink a lot of coffee but I’m a little worried that I have nerve damage in my foot. I know for a fact it’s just in one foot and not in booth feet. I did have a sprain 4 or 5 months back on my right toe but I’m not sure if that would have anything to do with it. It’s either that or too much coffee but I don’t know. I feel as though I have Symptoms Of Sciatica Nerve Problems Including Sciatica Buzzing In Foot but I’m not sure if that’s it because I don’t feel like I have back problems or any problems with my thighs at all? Please help

When I crack my neck, I get a warm tingling sensation down the right side of my arm. What does that mean?

If you get the tingling on the same side as the “crack” (cavitation) then it means the accessory joint movements in the facet (Zygaphophyseal) joints on that side of the neck has now increased and the nerves (Cervical 4–7) that flow out to the hands (median, ulnar and Radial nerves) from that side are sensing this change of tension inside the intervertebral foramen.Nerves can sense the smallest changes (they are chemosensitive and mechanosensitive) and sometimes very tight/ overactive muscles and joints could be irritating/ reducing the blood flow to the nerves (via vasa nervorum) and such an increase in the facet joint movement could potentially increase in the blood flowing into the nerves and cause this “warm fuzzy tingly sensation”. This is a desirable sensation. However, in some necks IF there is a reduced area/ space for the nerve exiting the foramen into the upper extremity because of a Disc injury/ prolapse or Osteophytes or other occlusions the nerve can be badly irritated during a quick “crack”/ adjustment/ cavitation and the sensation will be sharp and shooting more closer to an electric shock. This is a non-desirable sensation.

Is it normal to feel tingling and numbness after chiropractic adjustment?

Q: Why do newborns get adjustments?A: The birth process, no matter how natural, can affect an infant's spine. Some studies suggest that colic, unusual crying, poor appetite, ear infection or erratic sleeping habits can be signs of spinal distress. Newborns also become subluxated in the same physical, emotional or chemical ways an adult does as well. An infant is also examined very carefully to determine if there is a subluxation and, if needed, receives a gentle Gonstead adjustment involving very little pressure.Q: Do I have a slipped disk?A: No. The disc is a cartilage pad between each of your spinal vertebra that aides in your spine's connection, flexibility, movement, weight bearing & shock absorbing ability. Motion in your spine produces a pumping action to each disc allowing nutrients to enter and waste to be expelled. Because of spinal subluxations or severe trauma a disc can bulge, swell, tear, herniate, thin, dry out or collapse BUT it's can't actually "slip" out from between the spinal bones it serves. The Gonstead Chiropractor pays special attention to your disc health. The Drs. gently corrects the misaligned vertebra and restores it to a proper position in relationship to the disc, allowing the disc to heal.Q: How many adjustments will I need?A: Many patients are concerned about having to come in all the time for Chiropractic care. In our office we realize that each individual is different, and your care is tailored specifically to your level of acuteness. When beginning Chiropractic care in an acute condition, you may need to be adjusted more often in a short period of time to begin the healing process. Every patient responds differently to care, but in general our goal is to get to the root of the problem quickly and leave it alone to heal. The Drs. will give you specific recommendations but usually suggest periodic evaluations to maintain proper spinal health. Each visit builds on the next, so remain hopeful... we are!Know more information see this YouTube Video i think its help you : Best Sacramento Chiropractor Reviews Call us today! (916) 245-8337

After shooting meth, what causes numbness burning and swollen knot at injection site?

It's your bodies reaction to having something foreign shot into it. Also it's a localized effect of the active ingredients causing inflammation as your blood vessels constrict from the amphetamines. Avoid using the same injection site often and be sure to wash and cover like you would any other wound. 4x4s and saline work good. Too many sticks in the same spot will cause blowouts and increase risk of infection. If it doesn't go away in a few days or you notice swelling to extreme proportions or leakage of smelly white/black fluids or growths of white cysts, go to the er. Say no to the questions they ask about recreational use and say you donate plasma.Good luck!
