What are some pro tips for oily skin?

I have an oily acne prone skin since i was 16 years old, and im 27 now. My acne once used to be so worse, that i thought i would never get over this. But now, i have managed to control the acne a lot better. Some of my tips:1)Use natural and herbal products for skin. Try to avoid cosmetic and branded skin care products. I use UVA face wash, which is manufactured in india. It is superb for my oily skin. I have used almost all the oily skin care face washes available.2)Never go for micro-dermabration, peeling, or such cosmetic procedures. They are only temporary solution for your oily skin. They may make your oily skin worse, but will not cure your skin.3) Try ayurvedic medicines, it helps. Make sure that you avoid all kinds of non-veg food when you take ayurvedic medicines. I have tried padanjali, which is based in kuttipuram, malappuram district, kerala. I tried their medicine for just 10 days, and there was a lot of relief from my problem of acne.4) If you have oily skin thats become worse, use isotretinoin-10mg tablets for a month. It should actually be taken on the priscription of a doctor. It will make a difference.

I also have oily skin and I get it alot during school especially when it gets hot.
When ever you get the chance to go to the bathroom use one of those toilet covers (not used)
and blot your face with it.Its very efficient and saves money. Thats what I do. Even when I go out somewhere with my friends I just go to the bathroom and blot my face. Its become a habit. I know it sounds weird but its works.

What can I do to reduce oily skin?

While people with oily skin are thought to develop fewer wrinkles and maintain youthful skin for longer than average, managing oily skin can be still be really frustrating. Most of us have combination skin: oily in some places, dry in others. If your skin feels on the oily side even after washing, or if you regularly use blotting paper, don’t worry. Understanding what causes oily skin can help you determine what skincare solutions are best for you.Causes:Sebaceous glands: Oil comes from sebaceous glands under the skin, which release a fatty substance called sebum. Although sebum is generally a good thing, these glands can be influenced by outside variables, such as hormone, stress, and diet, leading to more oily skin.Hormones: During puberty, sebaceous glands enlarge and produce more oil under the influence of hormones called androgens. Men are especially susceptible due to higher levels of androgen production.Stress: When we’re stressed, our bodies produce a hormone called cortisol which triggers oil production.Diet: A healthy diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables is the only way to truly achieve good skin. Avoid High glycemic index foods, drink enough water, and don’t shy away from the seasoning.Weather: As the temperature rises, glands tend to produce more oil.Solutions:Cleansers with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid help not only people with acne, but also those with oily skinPhysical Exfoliators help remove oil and dead skin cells. To avoid skin irritation, use exfoliators gently, no more than once a week at first.Niacinamide is a derivative of vitamin B3 and may decrease oiliness.Oils that are lightweight and non-comedogenic may help balance your skin’s oil production levels. Tea tree oil is a favorite, but be aware that 100% tea tree oil solution is very irritating and should be diluted. As a spot treatment, dilute to 1 part tea tree oil with 3 parts oil of your choice, such as sunflower, castor, jojoba, or hemp oil.Oil-free sunscreen and oil-absorbing face sheets can help your reduce the appearance of oily skin.Check out Curology’s Guide to Oily Skin for more information and product recommendations.

Skin care routine for oily skin?

Although quite expensive the clinique three step skin care system has saved my life! I am a type three, which is for combination skin. In the morning I will wash my hands (you don't want to transfer bacteria to your face) and then use the cleanser which comes in a convenient pump bottle. I only use one pump. Then I'll move on to the toner using a cotton ball, and then the moisturizer. I exfoliate three times a week using St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

At night I do the same routine but after using the cleanser I will use the shu uemura cleansing oil. And just after apply the toner I will use my clarisonic which I only use at nights

Once a week I do a mask. I think clay or mud masks are definitely the way to go. I normally swap my masks whenever I feel like it. At the moment I am using the Laura Mercier deep cleansing clay mask. The body shop masks are good too.

I have the original sized clarisonic, but the mia seems to work just as effectively with the advantage that its smaller. It seems to be working for me just fine.

I have really oily skin... help!?

well done!!
you are half way there in getting rid of this!!
just by washing your face every morning & night your not giveing your face time to create bacteria.
but...
what face wash are you using?
from what you have said it seems your skin is oil some days,
dry the others. ?
if so, buy a combination skin type cleanser or a 'balanced' cleanser.
the idea is so that it levels out.

make sure you buy a daily 3 step routine.
'cleanser, toner, oil free moisturizer.
seriously this will help!!
if your face is really oily you'll be tempted to not moisturize right?
YOU MUST MOISTURIZE!!
a light, oil free moisturizer will cure the oiliness believe it or not,

a tip from me for oily skin = apply toothpaste to the oily parts or freshly squeezed lemon. (this does sting, but removes bacteria)
for flaky skin = exfoliate!!! you need to remove dead skin, my suggestion, nivia visage young 'scrub it!' mid exfoliator.

sorry this is such a huge answer i hope it helped though!!
:)

Solutions for dry and oily face?

Well a good, balanced diet is very important. Make sure you wash your face twice a day with a good quality cleanser. In the morning do use moisturiser, and in the afternoon you could use blotting papers. Even oily skin needs moisturiser to stay hydrated but when it's oily make sure you use an oil free moisturiser.
hope this helps. :)
