What causes throat pain after wisdom teeth extraction?
Wisdom tooth apparently has strong links at the root levels to our nervous system…a slight bit more than usual teeth, hence they are called Wisdom tooth in essence (i suppose). So upon their “forced” extraction, the nerves easily get damaged temporarily hence causing excruciating pain! Ofcourse i’m no dentist but i believe thats the Science behind it! Could be wrong but doubt i am if the above is stated in layman’s terms!Whether or not throat pain has any link to this, am not too sure i think. But i’d say it could be brought about by the additional activity enforced on the salivary glands as a result of the nervous abrasion due to wisdom tooth extraction.Ofcourse that said, i or anyone could google it too…Google has all the answers ;) these days.
Ear Infection and then a TERRIBLE Sore throat?
Okay, i went to the doctor after I had lost partial hearing in one ear. Turns out i had an ear infection (which is weird cuz i didnt have any symptoms other than partial hearing loss) He gave me some anti-biotics (Amoxicillin) so everything was fine, and then all of a sudden i woke up today with a HORRIBLE sore throat, i can barely swallow and it feels like strep throat. What could this be, because Amoxicillin is supposed to cure sore throats, even strep throat.
Small white nuggets off of my throat. Is this strep?
I've had a mildly sore throat the last few days. Nothing serious, and no fever. But these white pockets--similar to strep I've had in the past--form, and after a while, abrasion makes them fall off into my mouth. When I spit them out, they're small, hard nuggets. What is it? (Sorry--I know this question is a little gross.)

Can onion cause a cold-like sore throat?
When i eat bigger amount (+-250g) of raw union i will always get sore throat (it can be really hard) but i didn't think it can be allergic reaction. I would say it is irritation, cause onion is really full of uncommon chemical compounds.Maybe next time i will try to take some antihistamine pills hour or so before consumption and compare results. If no irritation occurs, then it can be possible i have allergic reaction. But it irritates eyes it have strong antibacterial effect ( Anti-bacterial action of onion (Allium cepa L.) extracts against oral pathogenic bacteria. )So to me it seems natural, when you eat to much of it, it can burn-irritate your throat. Also i believe allergic reaction would arrive sooner than next day.I just read article that describes mechanism of production of sulfuric acid after raw onion is crushed.
