Can a couple under the age of 18 book a room in hotel in India?
NoooooPse wait to be above 18If you cannot, then for your own Good, go for atleast 3 Star Hotels where they allow couple entryEven OYO has couple friendly hotels ,Atleast good hotels will ensure your safety,Pse Do not go for those Lodges and Shady Hotels recommended by Taxi and Rickshaw allah, chances of you getting into trouble are very high there.Good Luck,PS What happened to good old, no parents at home or no one at friends rented place etc etc
Too Young To Book A Hotel Room? Help?
I'm 14. I look and act 17, but booked a room at the DoubleTree with my credit card for July a few months ago, I'm going alone, and now I'm kind of worried they won't let me have the room because of my age. Will they ask for a license? Or can they call my parents? I have permission. I don't know what to do if they won't let me have the room. I really need it. Please don't say I have terrible parents, I'm too young, or it's dangerous. My life is different from most my age. I know what I'm doing, and it's okay. So helpful answers only. Thank you:)
Can unmarried couples book a hotel room in the same city?
Why not? Unmarried couples with local IDs can easily book a hotel room in the same city. But the trouble arises when one is not able to find out which hotels accept bookings with same city’s ID. Well, I use the OYO app and it is quite convenient to find out rooms according to my preferences and needs. If you check out their new ‘filters’ below each search result, you’ll come across categories like -CoupleLocaliteLeisureBusinessI selected the first two categories - the first one for filtering out properties that are Unmarried Couples friendly and ‘Localite’ filter for further bringing down the results of hotels that accept Local IDs in the city I want to book.So, I get straight to the results that match my choices and I booked at once. Here’s a snapshot for you to locate these filters. Trust me it has saved me a lot of trouble and confusion.And to make it even simpler, go to your account settings in the OYO Mobile App and turn on the relationship mode to “Single” (as shown in the image below) so you can automatically view properties for Single or Unmarried Couples.I am currently working for OYO.
How do you go about renting a hotel room?
Call the 800 number and make a reservation, or just walk in on the night of. You can usually make a reservation up to 1 year in advance. If you do, make sure to ask about the cancellation policy, because once you give them your credit card number, they have the right to charge you if you cancel within a certain period of time. When you check in, they will ask for your ID and a credit card. The ID will have to be either Driver License, ID, or Passport. Some hotels require that you are 21, because restaurants at the hotel serve alcohol, or the in-room mini bar might. Sso you might want to call and ask first. They will swipe your credit card and let you know the rate. They won't charge anything yet that night... the next day when you check out, the balance will be billed to the credit card. They will ask how many keys you want, and then give them to you, and that's it. You can have other guests in the room without registering them. You can usually have up to 5 guests in a room with two doubles, but reservations will be able to tell you this when you call.

No you have to be 21 ... and you're not too young to be having sex but you should be doing it w/i the bonds of marriage ... Now that's something that you can do at this age so why not focus your attention on doing things right ...
How do hotels react when you book a room for one person but end up bringing someone else back to your room? Are you technically supposed to notify them to increase your rate for that night? Or is this just accepted practice?
Well, I have been in Hotel Industry for the past twenty years or so. Even IN Dubai being an islamic country, many Hotels do allow you to take guests , but there may be house rules which vary from Hotel to Hotel.No Hotel would allow you to walk through the Lobby accompanied by a hooker as this sends a bad impression to the other guets and might tarnish their rating and reputation.However if the accompanied guest is decently dressed normally they walk through without a problem.In some countries like in Dubai, if the accompanied guests are staying the night they need to furnish an ID proof so that the respective Government departments are aware of the Guests in Hotel.There are some Hotels who would charge a guest fee , but on request would furnish an invoice in a seperate window to avoid the guest having a problem with the original Booker/Company.If the accompanied guest looks like minor, entry may be refused.Technically speaking the Hotel reserves the right to refuse admission even if the reservation carries their name .Make sure your Guests do not leave anything behind like a Lingerie and there are instances when Hotels returned such items to the mailing address and the guest got into trouble with their spouse!Any damages to the property might tempt the Hotel to report to the authorities, so if you are planning on a drunken orgy better think again!I have personally seen a couple of guests who were so drunk, they were making out in the sofa in the Elevator sitting area and also complained that the keycard was not opening the Elevator doors! So Take care, you may not really like the Hard floor in the Police lockup!!
What is a local ID in context of hotel rooms booking for unmarried couples?
Local ID States that you are living in locality.I would not suggest that staying unmarried couple in Hotel is a Good Idea.Whereas If You Are Booking Room, Front office will ask, Proofs Like Voter ID, PAN, Passport Etc. They will keep xerox of The Proof Of Both The Couple So, If in future any issue comes, They can show the proof to Police. Also, Sometimes in hotels at night Police Can Come For Checking and The hotel authority need to show all the proofs along with the documents of the persons staying into the room.If you provide the Address proof of the Same City in which the hotel is situated, They May Ask Loads Of Questions About Your Stay !As A Better Suggestion, Avoid Staying In Hotel.I can perfectly understand The Mentality in young age but Safety is First.Upvote The Answer If It Helped !
