Top Or Bottom Left Or Right In Or Out North Or South

How does our earth rotate from left to right or right to left?

From point of view of inhibitans from the Northern hemisphere rotation is anticlockwise, from right to left. From point of view of population from the Southern hemisphere the opposite is true. We used to think that everything should be accepted from the point where the Northern hemisphere is on top and the Southern on bottom. But we have the same valid reasons to accept that the Southern hemisphere on the top. So the same is true about rotation of Earth. It rotates from left to right and right to left, it only depends which hemisphere you will accept as the top.

Does the Earth rotates to the left or to the right?

here is an easy way to remember. it follows the right hand rule. imagine the thumb on your right hand is sticking up through the North Pole and your fingers will point in the direction the Earth rotates. this also works for the Moon and the orbit of the Earth around the Sun.

Why is north considersd up and south down?

North is one of the four cardinal directions, specifically the direction that, in Western culture, is treated as the primary direction: north is used (explicitly or implicitly) to define all other directions; the (visual) top edges of maps usually correspond to the northern edge of the territory represented, unless explicitly stated otherwise or landmarks are considered more useful for that territory than specific directions

TRUE north, the direction along the earth's surface toward one pole of the earth's rotation, namely the pole that is clearly on one's left when standing at the Equator while facing the rising sun.

MAGNETIC north, the direction along the earth's surface in which horizontal magnetic field strength has its most positive value (but see Flipping of planetary magnetic poles for an eventual event, so rare as to make unlikely any advance agreement on whether one or two retronyms would be involved in the replacement terminology)

South is also one of the four cardinal directions or compass points. It is the opposite of North and at right angles to East and West.SO ONCE NORTH IS FIXED SOUTH IS IT'S OPPOSITE

By Western convention, the bottom side of a map is South.

So, the real answer to your question is that it's just a convention & has no scientific basis behind it .

North, south, east and west are the same for everyone. Then why do left and right depend on the direction an individual is facing? When did such a convention come into existence?

As you have very rightly observed, North, South, East, and West are fixed directions - or, as you have said, “the same for everyone”.Right and left are also fixed in the sense the ‘right’ is on one’s right-hand side and the ‘left’ is on one’s left hand side. ‘Right hand’ and Left hand’ are the names given to the two hands of a person and they do not change for a person. They are also the same for everyone. But, once a persons rotates himself by 180 degrees, the direction one faces is reversed; what was once on one’s right hand side would now be on one’s left hand side, and vice versa. This is not incomprehensible rocket science, I suppose.Imagine the confusion that arises if one were to speak about one’s ‘east hand’, ‘west hand’, ‘north hand’, or ‘south hand’ instead of one’s right hand or left hand. It is good that we have decided not to mix up between the directions East, West etc and the right/left.I wouldn’t really like to venture a guess about when the convention came into existence. But it must have come into existence when people evolved enough to tell the right from the left!!

How do people always know in which direction north, east, South and west are?

First when your facing North, West is always on the Left. So if West is on your Left it follows that North is in front of you. If you can follow that the rest should be easy for you. If the West is on the Left then the East is on the Right and South is behind you. Now you ask how do you know how to put the West on your Left? Just remember that the sun will always rise in the East and set in the West. In my little piece of the West I live by a couple mountain ranges. The Sun rises over the Mule mountains and sets by the end of the Huachuca mountains (pronounced Wa chew Ka (small “a” sound)). So all I would have to do is point to the end of the Huachuca mountains with my Left hand and point to the Mule mountains with my Right hand and I’d be standing with my back to the South and North in front of me. Of course the easiest way is just to get a compass and orientate yourself using it and just remember your land marks. Also if you have a smart phone and enter your location into google it orientates your location with North at the top so you can do it that way too. Hope this helps.

What i the distance Of India In Kilometers (top to bottom and left to right)?

You might wanna ask distance from north to south and east to west. Or vice versa.

What’s the best way to learn and utilize North, South, East, and West to navigate as I drive or travel to different locations? It's embarrassing not to know.

Assuming you’re north of the equator, the sun rises in the east, is high in the south at noon, and sets in the west. North is to the left of east, opposite south, and to the right of west.People often seem to think the sun is in the east until 11:59:59, then, zip! it goes south, and then at 12:00:01 it goes zip! to the west. In reality the sun changes direction gradually. In midmorning it’s in the southeast and in midafternoon it’s in the southwest. Also, it varies with the seasons. In midsummer the sun rises in the northeast and sets in the northwest, on the equinoxes it rises and sets due east and west, and in the winter it rises in the southeast and sets in the southwest. I’ve gotten plenty of e-mails from people who wonder if the earth’s axis has shifted because the Sun is shining on the north sides of their house. What we got here is your basic Nature Deficiency Syndrome. The sun shines on the north side of a house in early morning and late afternoon every single day between March 21 and Sptember 21. They just never noticed. Also, know where you are on the ground. If you live in Milwaukee, east is toward the lake, south is toward Chicago, west is toward Madison and north is toward Green Bay. If you live in Denver, west is toward the mountains, east is toward the plains, north is toward Cheyenne and south is toward New Mexico.
