Transferring Colleges With A Low Gpa University Of Maine To The University Of New Hampshire.

What are the main reasons why students from Oakland University don't graduate on time?

This university has little or no proximity to downtown areas but instead corporate head offices and strictly residential, where most of the students come from. Many student are part-time at OU who are working in neighboring Auto and Tech industries, taking courses either as job requirement or by own desire, may be due to the proximity of the school to affluent neighboring cities.

I have a 2.5 GPA in community college. Can I still transfer to a 4 year school?

College admissions depend on a number of things, but for transfer, GPA is going to be a big factor if you have completed 12 or more credits because you will be considered a transfer student. In this case the college won't look at your ACT/SAT score but rather things like GPA. Also, keep in mind, if your low GPA is based on having some grades lower than a C, those classes probably won't transfer even if you get accepted so you would have to re-take them. The best way to boost your GPA and avoid this issue would be to re-take a few classes in which you got low grades and get much higher grades the second time. You should probably start by visiting the college's webpages for admissions to see what the admissions requirements are and then apply if there isn't anything precluding you from doing so. Understand that with that GPA, you probably won't be accepted directly into one of the programs you mention without showing some additional success first.

Can I still transfer even though my community college GPA is 1.7 at the second year?

Not a particularly good idea. Without seeing a transcript (and that should be done confidentially by a trained, qualified advisor) I would have to say no, but I’d also have to ask why it is so low. Your best bet might be to buckle down and apply yourself where you are.Go make an appointment with both an academic advisor and a counselor as soon as you can. Discuss why you are doing so poorly and ask for their feedback. An advisor can help you with an academic plan. A counselor can help you address issues where their particular expertise can apply, like for example do you have issues holding you back that can be addressed. All of us hit roadblocks at some time in our life. A below 2.0 GPA certainly applies, but it doesn’t mean you can’t push through it. Just don’t try and do it alone.

What are the main reasons why students from Miami University don't graduate on time?

They don't take the first two years very seriously. A lot of kids, including some in my friends group, were not serious about school until their Sophomore or Junior Year. They spent all their time partying, goofing off, playing video games, etc. and not any time (or hardly any) studying. Now don't get me wrong, I believe in work hard and party hard, but if you don't do the work and only party you'll ultimately going to have a bad time. Also, some people will stay more than four years because of changing majors (especially in the business school). If you change you major in your junior (or even senior) year, odds are in favor of you getting to pull a super-senior year.

Is a community college really my only option?

Long story short, I've wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life.
But the problem is I did utterly terrible in high school, and I never even took the SAT/ACT.
I did go to community college for about a year but I dropped out because I was scared of accumulating mountains of debt from not being able to decide on a major.
And now I'm a 23 year old (24 in September) support manager at Walmart who still lives with her parents.
I have no friends in this area, and I hate this area altogether I desperately want to move out and better my future at the same time.
However my parents charge me almost basically one entire paycheck for rent, making it incredibly hard to save money to move out on my own.
And I'm working crazy amounts of overtime just to have money to save up.

I'm thinking that going to college is probably the best way to fix my situation but it looks like community college is my only option with the mistakes I've made in my life.
I don't want to stay local, because I don't want to stay with my parents....
Do I have any other options?
Are there maybe community colleges with dorms?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
And thank you.

How can I gain admissions as a transfer student with a low GPA in my major?

Well, firstly, you should think why you have low college gpa and maybe you can try to explain everything to the admission officer. You know, your grades are not the most important things in the admission process but still, you have to think about them because they make the whole picture of you. But you also have to know how to count gpa score. At least, you can try to make a good waiver and compose a flawless presentation of yourself and in this way, you will be able to make a good impression. Here are some recommendations which can make your waiver better:it is smart to write a sample firstly, use a template of example for this procedurethen get prepared for the examinationgather all the data about this sort of writing and analyze it properly, use only official resourcesThere are lots of ways how you can create a decent paper on your own. But now with the help of the internet, you can do everything you want

Community College Vs. Career College (whats the difference?)?

I am currently attending a community college and am panning to be a Registered Nurse. My friend also wants to be a nurse but wants to go to a career college. Now at the end will the outcome be the same? meaning will we both get paid the same or will she get paid more or less for going to a career college.

I do know that career colleges are more expensive but you finish faster is that the only difference?

Looking for regionally accredited non-profit colleges with online programs?

I am currently a student at DeVry Online, and I am not happy with the program there. So I am hoping to transfer to a different college. I am pursuing a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resources Management. I need something that it completely online, and I want something that is regionally accredited and non-profit. I tried doing a search, but I am not coming up with many answers. I also would prefer a community college, as I have heard that is the better way to go.

I tried talking to people at Lakeland College, MATC (Madison Area Technical College in Wisconsin), Herzing, and ITT Tech so far. Lakeland College is the only one that doesn't have a ton of poor reviews, but they don't offer the program that I want. Does anyone have any ideas that can help me?

Thanks!
