Got transferred to another location for job, but I hate it. How can I ask to move back?
I work at a toy store and they just opened a new location in a pretty much run down mall that is closer to my house then the one I was working at. They can not find anyone except me and the managers son to work in the new location so I was transferred. Well since I'm still new I do not know how to do closing at all which is a huge part of the job to get the till correct. Somehow the manager's son(despite working there for 2 years) does not know how to either. So you can imagine it's a huge disaster everyday. My shift ends at 8:30, but I end up having to stay until 9:30 and most of the time I'm not even done because I can't get it right. It's not only that we're having a lot of problems with closing and other stuff, but I just don't like it compared to the other store I was working in. I don't know what it is, but I just feel all depressed when I'm in that store. I can't tell if it's because the mall is deserted or what's wrong with me. The store is almost empty most of the time too so I have absolutely nothing to do and time feels like its creeping by. I also miss my old coworkers who I was pretty close to and happy working with. I feel bad that I had agreed to transfer to the new shop during my job interview. After today's disaster of trying to close, the manager's son agreed to ask his dad if I could switch with a more experienced worker and work at the store I originally started at for the day. They got upset so now I feel even more nervous about asking to just move back to the old location. I don't even know how to ask to move back since I agreed and I'm one of the only coworkers working in the new location. Also, I've barely been there. I used to look forward to work, but now I feel like I have so much knots in my stomach when I need to go to work.

Reason: She needs to take care of her mother, who has some critical health condition.Case2: Another (male) associate, has been asking for a transfer for almost an year, but no solid reason other than moving close to home, increased productivity etc. Result: Still no transfer in sight.Most important factors are:- How much time you have spent in the project, your performance, and equation with the management. - How genuine and critical your reason to move is.All the best!

In most cases an associate needs to be in position for at least six months before they can transfer to another store.That allows for a review to be conducted. Usually the new store would want a copy of the latest review before accepting a transfer. Talk to your HR and let him/her know of your situation. They may be willing to work with you considering your circumstances. But I would also research by calling the Store manager or HRM in that area to see if positions are available.

It all depends on RMG at base location.But when you're into a project, it's too difficult to change base location as you have to get nod from Project manager and then HR who wouldn't be convinced of losing a resource.If you want to change different location of same project internally it's not really difficult.Convince your Project Manager, Lead and HR especially PM. How much does it cost to have an electrician install a transfer switch to hook a generator up to my house?
We lose power about once a year for several days and I'm tired of losing food in the freezer. I'm buying a generator and do not want cords strung throughout the house. I want to be able to plug it into the generator into the pole and power certain parts of my house, through the breaker box. I think this is called a "transfer switch"? How much does it cost to have an electrician install one? I've already checked with my utility company and they have their own brand they'll install for $1000. That's way too much. I want to do this on my own.
How can I change my base location at tcs?
As a fresher, a person cannot change his/her base location to preferred ones until he/she completes 2 years in TCS.But there are always exceptions, if you have some reason that can never be avoided, and, if your manager and RMG incharge is okay with you moving to your preferred location, then they might move you to the RMG of your preferred location. Once they are okay and they find a project for you, you can happily go there.
