Trying To Connect My Nintendo Ds For The First Time Ever But Cant

Nintendo 3ds won't connect to wifi?

I know what you're talking about, but I'm not entirely sure how to fix it. Instead, I will offer enlightenment which may help you on your quest.

When setting up my wifi settings under the actual 3ds settings, I tend to have no problems. Now, when I go into the ds network settings, which then brings up that screen that the original ds used, I can't connect due to restrictions in the firmware's ability handle newer network encryptions.

So simply put, for me, I could connect to my network with the 3ds firmware and not the ds firmware due to the higher level of encryption that the original ds could not handle.

If your trying to connect through a ds game (not 3ds) or through the ds (not 3ds) network settings, this is probably why you're having a problem.

If that's not it, idk. I tried. Good luck!

How to set the time and date on a Nintendo DS lite?

To change the date and time you use you fingers or nails and touch the small icon that looks like a ds at the middle bottom of the screen. This brings you to the options menu, tap the button picturing a clock ansd a tab (The blue one I think) you will see buttons for changing date, time and other info. (I strongly recommend getting a stylus as it doesn't leave greasy fingerprints on the screen).

close the Ds and have a look at the right side of it there you will see this small "slit" or hole where the stylus fits perfectly, if you learn the user that he/she always should put the stylus back there after use and show Him/her how to put it there, then it should be safe :)

I own a Ds lite myself ;)

Every time I buy a gaming console, I play it for the first few days but I always then ignore them and go back to PC gaming. How can I address this problem?

Just like the other answers here, I can't be too sure what the problem is you're trying to address.Do you want to play your console more?Or do you want to stop buying consoles? If you want to play your console more, I'd ask you to analyze how you play your PC. Is it a gaming tower and you sit at your tricked out station? Then try plugging some of your lighting and your monitors into your console setup and play your console more like a desktop rather. than something that goes with your TV. Do you primarily play on a gaming laptop? Well maybe the issue is mobility. Have you tried the Switch or Nintendo's DS line. I would think that the problem here is more of habit than anything else and just like any habit you want to break applying the same principles will be your path to success. Are you trying to stop buying consoles? Again, analyze what makes the console appealing to you in the first place and see if you can make your PC setup appealing in the same fashion. Again you are dealing with a habit and the best way to break the habit isto address it and see if you can substitute the allure with something more aligned to your end goal.

Why doesn't Nintendo ever release a console that is on par with Sony and Microsoft?

Because Nintendo prefers to forge its own path. They are basically purposefully blind to reigning trends because they don’t want to be indistinguishable from the competition.Nintendo Entertainment System: Restarted the gaming boom, purposefully put restrictions in place that prevented shovelware from being shoved constantly onto the console by forcing exclusivity with titles and restricting the number of titles a company could publish per year.Super NES: Found its primary competition in the Sega Genesis (which was designed to compete with the NES). Even though the Genesis was developed first, its processor remained less than it, even though all other stats were better. Why did it succeed? Games. The SNES had a wider variety of quality titles, and that exclusivity was still in place, so quality titles for the SNES did not appear on the Genesis and vice-versa. If they did, they were basically different games, even if they had the same title.N64: They optimized for load-times and hardware strength rather than capacity. The N64 was the MORE POWERFUL console for the time. But the PlayStation beat them in raw CAPACITY with its CD-based drive. Developers flocked to the PS1 for this reason.GameCube: Technically more powerful than the PS2, but their disks (chosen both for piracy purposes and to enforce in-engine cutscenes rather than pre-rendered cutscenes to avoid mistaken quality in their games) again caused a capacity crunch. Developers didn’t want the restriction.Example: When Resident Evil 4 was ported from the GameCube to PS2, the PS2 used the pre-recorded in-engine cutscenes from the GameCube version.Wii: After two generations of technically more capable devices than the competition, they decided to go for novelty and innovation rather than raw power. And they tapped into a previously untapped market by doing so.Wii U: Failed to recapture the Wii’s lightning in a bottle by essentially trying to both be a tablet and a console. But due to the tablet’s requirement of being within 30 feet of the console, poor marketing, poor 3rd party support, and the Wii’s market not wanting to move on from that console, it floppedSwitch: No, its not as powerful as the PS4 or XBox One, but they’re specifically not trying to be. They’re trying to be the ‘good enough’ device that can also be played on-the-go, which is a HIGHLY undermarketted feature. I play my Switch more on-the-go than connected to the TV!

Nintendo WFC error code?

Based on 52000, normally that means your Router is having an issue with assigning your DSi an IP Address so you will have to manually enter an IP address in since it's likely you have entered all of the necessary information into your DSi in order to connect your DSi to your D-Link.

So you'll need to manually enter the information.

However before we get to that, check to see if you can use your DSi's Internet Browser as well as just connect to the Shop there. If you can then it's just an issue with the game in question because your D-Link is likely protected with WPA Security and Diamond can't connect to it.
However if your browser and the DSi Shop can't be connected to then you'll probably want to attempt to do the manual stuff.

Since you said you have a D-Link, the IP address the DSi should have is 192.168.000.190

Subnet Mask should always be 255.255.255.000.

Gateway field should have 192.168.000.001

Primary DNS should be 008.008.008.008
2nd DNS should be 008.008.004.004

Also you might want to find a way to change the channel that your Router is broadcasting on. Nintendo's site stated that by default a lot of Routers have it set to Channel 6 which will interfere with a lot of other stuff and the other stuff will interfere with the DS' wireless signal.

My dsi won't connect to other players.?

Maybe wifi is needed?
