Tumblr html help please?
You are going to find the sidebar css and remove (or change) the part that tells it position:fixed; or absolute, or whatever prevents the sidebar from scrolling. If this doesn't fix, post a link, there isn't much we can tell from a picture, when the problem is in the coding.
How can I transfer one Tumblr to another?
To be more specific, I want to transfer my MAIN Tumblr to another and start fresh. I don’t see a way to download all my posts anymore. (I’d be satisfied with having a local copy.) And I know you can change the name of your main Tumblr to something else and start a new one, but then I lose all my followers. Any Tumblr experts here who can help? Thanks!
How do you create a Tumblr theme?
Specifically talking about designing for Tumblr, I'll just state a couple of things that are different to what the process might be to design any other site.You're working with unknown content. Which can be hard. But you do know the post types and possible content of them. For example a photo post will have an image equal to or less than 500px wide. A text post will often have blockquotes or lists. I start making a complete static version, with as much dummy content as possible. Look at a few Tumblr blogs and grab some really ugly examples of content, like the pretty common nested blockquotes or images of different sizes. Get a short quote and a really long quote etc. Design for a couple of each post type.When you're happy with it, strip your markup back to one of each post type and read the documentation to put all the correct template tags in the correct places. http://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/cu...You'll likely need to then refine within Tumblr. This is a bit of a pain, needing to update the preview each time you make a change is time consuming. There's also no syntax colouring or code completion. So it's sometimes easier to just keep copying and pasting your code back and forward between your text editor and Tumblr.Using embedded styles (even if you externalise them later) helps so all your code is in one file.
What does a 'note' mean on tumblr? When you see these on the bottom of the images on Tumblr?
Notes are basically like the history of a post and it shows how many times the post had been reblogged or favorited if you click on it.
My tumblr theme doesn't show photosets? (HTML help?)?
This is a difficult question to answer as there is no - here is the fix - answer. The location of the pictures is the first consideration. You should see blank boxes on your blog with red crosses. Right click on the box and select properties to find out where the browser thinks the pictures should be and what they should be called. The link might be case sensitive so look out for capital letters. Go back to tumbler or your web domain and check the location and the file name. Using filezilla client can be helpful here. Have fun.
Am I invisible on tumblr?
I have never followed anyone, commented, liked or added tags onto anything I post. I don't allow being traced by emails or search engines. I have a name that most likely isn't going to be looked up. It isn't unique but it's not terribly common either, I suppose. Is it still possible that someone could come across my Tumblr?
How to hide followers on tumblr page!?
i want to hide who i am following on my tumblr page, so i googled how. it said to delete some code in the html of the theme, and thats exactly what i did, it now doesnt show the followers, but it still has an empty "following" box! and the navigation box (with the ask, and other pages links) is white and wont show any of the links! so i really dont know what to do and im getting frustrated. PLEASE HELP!

Along with Morgan's suggestion (which is spot on), try following blogs recommended by the Tumblr Staff on their blog;http://staff.tumblr.com/Every Tuesday they post a 'Tumblr Tuesday' recommendation of four outstanding blogs, so if you scroll through all their posts you should find plenty of good ones in there.Follow the Tumblr staff also - they are listed in the sidebar on the staff blog - and follow people they reblog, as they tend to have a handle on who the cool Tumblrs are!Hope this helps. When reading from your dashboard, click the little heart in the top right corner of the post. There's no option to do it if you're reading their blog directly, you have to be logged in and read it on your dashboard (Follow them, to get it to show there).
