Why does the Victoria's Secret Fashion show make me so depressed?
I always look in the Victoria's Secret catalog and compare myself to all the models but then remember they are photoshopped. But when the fashion show comes on, its live tv and there is no digitally altered pics so they actually do look that good! I hate watching it and pray that my boyfriend doesn't watch it, it makes me feel like crap about myself! With all the work they are doing to give girls better self-esteem with the Dove commercials and everything, I think this is a terrible thing to be showing. I am 26 years old and is all it makes me want to do is starve myself and grow about a foot taller to look like these models. And if men want "real" women, then why do they all get soooo excited to watch this damn show?!

Why does having a strong interest in fashion and beauty make me seem ditsy and typical?
It's nothing but the narrow mindedness which is still inside people. We are educated , we get grades by writing all the ideal bullshit, but we never inculcate those values inside us. We only learn or take it into our account because people around us like to hear about all the stuff but they might not follow it because of the family pressure or society. Coming to the point, people who wear what they want will wear and should not be bothered about the other close minded people.It also depends where you live.If you where modern clothing in a rural area, people will comment because it not usual for them. In an urban city anyway its because of the stereotype thinking that surrounds them.

How is makeup for film and television different from ordinary makeup application?
I am a makeup artist and every day makeup is changing for TV.Especially Telecasts in HD and specifically 4K. I can tell when a makeup artist was not prepared for her clients debut in 4k. It is super unforgiving.You also have to adjust for lighting and sometimes have to use makeup that is theatrical or heavy duty.It really depends on the show, how it is shot and what the lighting will be each take.
