Which UK television programme is the most watched TV programme in the USA?

America's Favorite British TV ShowsIf you would ask which TV program from the UK is most popular to me.The answer is NONE.My mother in the far past liked to watch ‘Are you being served’.I cringed every time she watched that.A friend liked to watch Doctor Who, old style.I cringed at the mere thought having to watch that.That said, in the far past I did like ‘Blake’s Seven’.I cringe having to watch that again.When starting a new show on netflix, I quickly select a new show when the actors open their mouth and an english accent come out.Much more to my liking were German police shows like Derrick, Der Alte and Tatort.Today I prefer American style SciFi showsStar Trek, Jeremiah, Dark Matter, Falling Skies, among alot of others.(not fantasy, not Star Wars)

Are British TV series better than American?

I absolutely love British shows. Having said that I wouldn't say that all of them are better than the US shows.Personally I would prefer any BBC show over any US network show.British shows are crisp, fast paced,edgy and rely on a great sense of humour packed with great intelligence and screenplay whereas US shows mostly caters to popcorn and binge culture and thus sometimes robs the viewers of the realistic and relatable factors.Some of my absolute favourite British shows are -Sherlock ​​​​The Inbetweeners​​​​Dr Who​​​​PS - Even British movies are also mind blowing and are genuinly funny and intelligent.
