Unable To View Emails Send Email Then Screen Blank Click Inbox Nothing Happens Same If In Sent

If you delete an email, will the recipient not be able to see it anymore?

No, unfortunately the person on the receiving end of an email from your deleted account will be able to see the email IF it was sent successfully. Reason behind that is simply because the email would already be on the recipient's server and once it makes it that far it's basically out of your hands and in whomever's inbox. The only thing deleting your email account will do in your case would be that the receiptient will NOT be able to reply to your email because your email address wouldn't exist anymore for a reply to be received.**if you're trying to figure out some way to get out of an embarrassing or accidentally sent email, you can always say your "account was hacked" (#1 excuse for everyone's email and social media account fails) **

How do I delete emails from the "Smart View" section in my email account?

This post in Y Answers appears to be a year old - but thought I'd share anyway. I do not ever remember seeing this Smart Views (oxymoron!) in my email until today. I HATE this feature.
Hopefully someone will respond on how to remove this folder.

I just noticed the same thing and chatted to a Yahoo agent about it, here is the script of the chat. hope this helps...

Phoebe: yes its a folder that I dont need. it basically shows some of the same mails in my inbox,
Nikki: Thanks for waiting.
Nikki: Smart folder is a new default folder created by Yahoo! Mail that gives you an option to view emails came from your Contacts and not from outside Contacts. Unfortunately, this feature cannot be remove nor disable.
Phoebe: why isnt that option available?
Phoebe: i mean i already have so many folders and I do not need another one just repeating some of the mails in my inbox
Nikki: The feature or functionality that you're describing is not currently available.
Nikki: However, our Engineering and Marketing teams want to hear from you about what you would like to see enhanced in Yahoo! Mail.
Phoebe: i do understand the purpose... to help narrow it down for emails from contacts but I think users should have a say in whether they want to use it or not
Nikki: The best way to send us your input is by submitting a feedback form.
Phoebe: ok where do i do that?
Nikki: Here's the URL:
Nikki: http://feedback.mail.yahoo.com/betafeedback_mailbeta
Nikki: In the meantime, is there anything else that I can assist you with?
Phoebe: nope thatd be all.
Phoebe: thanks
Phoebe: bye bye
Nikki: Allow me to give you a recap of our conversation.
Nikki: Just to recap, the feature you requested was currently not available but I advice you to fill out the Feedback form in order to inform our Engineers about this.
Nikki: Thank you for using Yahoo! Mail. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and chat with us at any time and to end this chat, please click the "END CHAT" button on the top right of the chat window.
Nikki: I wish all the customers were like you because you’re a cut above the rest.
Nikki: Goodbye and you have a great one.
Nikki: :)
Thank you for contacting us. Have a great day.

Yahoo mail displaying blank area for incoming emails,buggy...?

In the new Yahoo! Mail, you don’t do this with your browser anymore. Now, just change your
character encoding setting right in Yahoo! Mail!

Here’s how:

In the toolbar, click More Actions and select Set Encodings.
From the list that appears, select the encoding that matches the message’s content.
Note: Only one character encoding set may be viewed at a time. And in this case, changing your
browser’s encoding setting will not work.

Or in the old Traditional = Select any email where the header information is displayed, but there
is nothing in the
"body" of the message where you would expect to find text, etc.
Move your mouse to the area of the expected "body" of the message and right-click...on
the menu that appears, click on "Encoding"...on the menu that appears, if "Auto Select"
has a check mark, leave it as is...if not click "Auto Select"; then this menu will
disappear...right click again in the "body" to cause the same menu to display again...then
click on "Western European (Windows)"...you should now be able to view the "body" of
all messages that you couldn't view before...obviously, if the problem somehow occurs
again, do the same procedure described above again. I have no idea how or why these
settings get "changed" or "corrupted" after everyday use, but apparently they sometimes
do.

How do I delete all the emails in my Gmail inbox by one action only?

Note: This only works for Gmail and is updated to March 2, 2019. Lots of these posts are old and thus not relevant anymore since Gmail is always changing the layout. This does not pertain to unsubscribe, but there is a blurb at the end for those who asked since it is relevant for spam.Follow the below steps carefully:In the left box where you can see your different mailboxes (Inbox, Sent, etc), scroll down and select ‘More’.Select ‘All Mail’Click the check-mark to select all the emails in the current view, and then click ‘Select all x conversations in All Mail” (see screenshot)Hit the garbage can button above the emailsThen, select ‘Trash’ from the same left box where your different mailboxes are show and select ‘Trash’.Click the box above to select all the messages in the folder and click ‘Delete Forever’.Now all of your emails are deleted forever. This does not unsubscribe you from spam emails. Even in google’s spam folder, it does not catch all the spam, and sometimes mistakenly puts important emails in there. Also, sometimes you do not have the username and password to unsubscribe, and you are not able to.For this, tools exist. A famous example is Unroll.me.I personally prefer newer applications, of which there are many. These have better usage and design and take less time.My personal favorite is Mr Clean, linked here. This one automatically identifies the least relevant emails and allows you to delete them or even put them in a hidden folder that deletes after 30 days. I like this function in case I mistakenly put something.Best of all, no spam and easy unsubscribing means a less cluttered life and more focus on the things that make me smile, like my pet fish Dracula and eating pancakes in my overalls.

How do I delete multiple emails in my Gmail inbox?

I needed to update this post to add 1 extra step because Google added an additional piece of verification to this process. Most likely because of me showing tens of thousands of people how to delete all of their junk mail.I also got a bunch of comments below saying this “doesn’t work” but rest assured my friends, we are back in the game with this “1 simple trick.”Warning! You are probably about to delete a huge amount of email, please be aware of what you are doing. Always backup your email before attempting to delete your email or any data for that matter. If you scroll past this page you acknowledge that you will not hold me liable for any damages that may be incurred by deleting email. Thanks! This method is mainly for when you have a HUGE amount of emails and don’t feel like deleting them a hundred at a time.I’ll start with this illustration, and then talk a bit about it.Click to enlargeStep 1: Go to the Gmail search bar and enter in today’s date or the date you want your email deleted from. So if I want everything from today deleted I would enter:before:2015/05/22
Meaning – delete everything before May 22, 2015.Step 2: Check the magic box. The key here is you will see a notification that says “All conversations in this search are selected.”This basically means all 10,000 emails are selected, not just the default 50 or 100 emails that you see on your screen.Step 2.5 Updated – In addition to checking the magic box, you now also need to click the link that says “All conversations that match this search.” Google added this extra step sometime in 2016 to make people think twice before selecting huge amounts of email to delete / move / archive / mark as spam etc.Step 3: Click the trash button. You will probably get a warning which you will need to affirm. Once that happens it might take a minute or two. I just deleted almost 10,000 emails and it took about 2 minutes. You might get a “still working” message while you wait.Other thoughts on mass deleting a lot of Gmail messages at onceYou can use this method to do a bunch of other stuff such as archive your email, mark it all read, mark it unread, or delete it.Please note that if you are using this method with a connected email + domain, this may or may not delete the email off your server depending on your mail server setup. You’ve been warned, but let me warn you again. Think before you hit that delete button, because you ain’t gettin’ those emails back.

Does viewing an email send a message to the sender?

In the old Yahoo mail I could check a box and delete an email without viewing it. In beta I have to view an email in the preview pane to allow me to delete it or send it to spam. Does viewing an email in the preview pane allow the sender to get a message that this email has been viewed? This would let them know that they have a real active email. I don't want that to happen.

Why does gmail delete my sent mail?

As others have said, Gmail does not do this - or not normally. Default behavior is for your sent items to be “archived”, with a “sent” label on them. So if you click on the sent label in the left hand column, or do a search, you should see all your sent mail. If you do not, then there are only a couple of possibilities. Google Groupswdurham said:If you are using the webmail interface, GMail automatically applies a Sent label to all mail you send, and those mails - and thus any conversation which contains a message sent by you - will show up when you click Sent in your sidebar. This label cannot be removed. If you don't see your Sent mail when you click Sent, then either:1. Something is deleting those conversations from your account. The most common culprit is a misconfigured filter designed to work on incoming mail. But filters also work on outgoing mail and can produce unexpected and unwanted results. A second common reason is that people mistakenly believe that what they see in Sent mail is a duplicate of what they see elsewhere, and so they delete the "duplicates".OR2. You are using another device or client to send mail, and this sent mail appears only on that client or device. So check the settings in the client or the app you use on the device, and make sure that you haven't opted for mail sent from there to appear in another folder, usually a local one, instead of having it go to the GMail Sent folder.

Google Hangouts : What exactly happens when I block someone on GChat?

Question : What exactly happens when I block someone on Gchat?I had a quick glance to the answers that were already shared and here is my answers.Well we all use whatsapp, facebook, snapchat, twitter, instagram, etc… What does the block option does there…. “If someone is blocked by us or someone blocked us, you or the other person might not be able to text each other.Similarly in Gchat (Hangouts) , if you have blocked someone , they will be able to see you online but cannot send message. If someone has blocked you, then you will not be able to see the person’s last seen and online notification. How to find if someone has blocked you?Hover to you hangouts account , click on the person’s chat whom you think has blocked you,(if you have been friends before, and if that person has blocked you you will see “add to circles “Now try to add them to your circle’s, you will not be able to add them to your circles if you have been blocked and you will be prompted with this “you cannot add them to your circles” them refers to the person who has blocked you.Does this mean you cannot send and receive email to them?? No ,there is nothing like that. Hangouts does not have any impact on sending and reeving emails from the person you have blocked you.You can send and receive email to them.Group chats: If you have blocked someone, that person will still be there in the group and can see your messages and can also reply to the messages. You will also see “the blocked symbol” against the person you have blockedAlso you won’t get any notification if the person has sent any message in the group.Video Calls: All the person, including the one whom you have blocked will be able to receive the call ,but they can’t be a part of the call.If you want them to be in the call, you must first unblock them.Even if you have unblocked them from the video call, you may not find the person’s individual chat account, that’s because you have not unblocked them completely.TO do that , go the setting -> blocked person’s -> against the person name you will find “unblock” .Unblock the person. That’s it, hope you you found it useful.Happiee Chatting.. :)
