I didnt see anywhere where you admitted you were speeding? When the officer pulled you over typically he says "Do you know why I stopped you?" He is trying to get you to incriminate yourself. If you tell him what you were doing to break the law then he will use it against you in court. If you told him you were speeding that works against you. If you told him you were doing the speed he got you for that works against you. And if he has you on Audio(usually they tell you) "Ive got you on Audio and video" then anything you said can be played back. First thing I would do especially if your record is clean go to the states attorneys office and ask if you can get community service to knock down the points. Depending on the area, some states attorneys will knock it down and you pay the full fine reduced points or all points removed in exchange for admission of guilt and community service. Other states attorneys in other areas will tell you you have to go before a judge. If you have to go before a judge look at the bench where the officers sit up front. If you do not see the one that pulled you over, your plea is "Not Guilty" The State will not have a witness and more than likely you will be found not guilty without so much as a fine. In this case if the States Attorney asks the Judge for a continuance as one slimy attorney did to me dont accept. As a good friend in law enforcement pointed out, your sixth amenment right is the right to a speedy trial. Unfortunately I didnt understand that at the time. If the officer is there and you have to go before a judge, you may want to ask for Probation before Judgement. Im not quite sure how but you may have to plead guilty with expliation or no contest. Explain you were doing 15 over the limit, youre sorry and request PBJ. Make sure before you do this, I dont know if Im right on how to get the Probation Before Judgement Im sure someone can give you a better answer but given your time constraint, I thought Id chime in. BTW if the Judge asks what your record looks like. Dont lie, he has it right next to him.

That would not be considered an emergency. The definition of an emergency is an unforeseen event requiring immediate attention. First, it is arguable that the event was unforeseen, as the condition would normally begin with mild symptoms and gradually increase over time. Second, speeding is not required to solve the problem. You could pull over at any exit and use a restroom. Finally, it doesn't take a judge long to hear every possible excuse, including this one. He probably heard it dozens of times.
I got a Speeding ticket with 90 miles on freeway?
Hi guys, I just got a speeding ticket with 90 miles on the highway (I-5 S, close to San Diego. speed limit is 65 MPH) There are two violations appear on my record. 90 miles speeding ticket and driving too close. I am wondering what the approximately cost it is, and do I need to go traffic school. I got another ticket on January 2007. its been almost 2 years from my last ticket. How many points do I currently have? If its 2, do I need to go traffic school? I mean its okay to pay the fine and I could afford the increasing amount on my insurance. If I don't go to traffic school, will that be a big issue since I got 2 points? I also got another form which requires me to re-take the driving exam, will this action affect my insurance? Is this exam just like the exam that I took for getting my driver license? Will it be hard? Thank you guys!!! really urgent to know the answer!!!
NJ license got a ticket in New York speeding ticket 1180D going 86 on a 55 zone?
So my mom and my dad and my 1 month old baby brother went upstate New YorK for a weekend. When they came back, I took the car to get my iPhone fixed in the morning . When I got my iPhone fixed on my way back I get a call from my mom saying she left the baby's food and accessories in the car my step dad was suppose to bring upstairs . So I got worried and started speeding and going with the flow of traffic as well. There was a cop right at the corner of the turn on the right side of the highway. As I was driving at the middle lane the whole time He came behind me and pulled me over, as I was pulled over I pulled all my windows down and followed his orders the. I explained to him about why I was speeding and explaining him that I really needed to get the food to my baby brother. The reason I got worried was because my step dad was at CT dealing with his court case and no one was home. My mom still can't do things without me there. Mind you I bring her to New York for the baby's birthday check up and everything. Since my stepdad works at CT most of the time. i have a New Jersey license and I wanted to see if there is anyway out of this ticket without a lawyer . I also have some points on my license for driving careless, but it goes for the same reason. It's because of family. 1. what can i do to not get points 2 will my license get suspended since I already have 6 points on my license? 3. What should I do in court ? If i have a suspended license my goals are over
